No clock in center instrument pod above steering wheel. That means this car was not ordered with console. Clock automatically went there, per Jerry MacNeish.
DZ302. People either love 'em or hate 'em because of its unusual power band. Personally I'd love to feel that thing pull in 2nd & 3rd gear.
Quick story, my uncle way back when when he raced stock cars or dirt tracks (upstate NY and Canada) my grandpa and him used 327s and would swap out the crank with a 283 crank to get the 302 cid. It wasn't uncommon for them to swap and experiment with different cranks on those SBCs. As everyone knows it was a pretty easy swap. They were building these starting in 63 (they had two, I believe) and struck gold lol. They had one season where the lowest they came in was 4th! Excluding crashes lol. It got to the point where they would make them tear down the motors after races. 🤣
To this day my uncle still holds 2-3 track records between NY and Canada.
Only bummer was that you could not get factory A/C on the z28 and the rock crusher should have been standard equiptment on the z28 not an RPO option , you can keep your M21 , I want to hear that gear wine . Oh and 4.11s , perfection ! 🤩👍
Missing the clock that came with the U17 gauge option. The clock goes right in the center between the tach and the speedo.
That's a beautiful Z/28!
Looks great but aftermarket headers are NOT factory in trunk option. But real sweet ride
Best car ever!
Wow that's the first cleanest z28 I ever seen
I was in my Buddy's 68 Z28 when it had 50 miles on it. $2,700 new. He beat that like a rented mule.
Is this still for sale? I will buy it.
I know a guy that has an all original 69 z28 that has 4-wheel disk brakes with 16,000 miles on it
I would love to buy it
The windshield said $59,999 what a investment if you bought that car eight years ago at today’s price I’m sure it would top 100 K !
Should be painted body color under the cowl panel up to the firewall.
I thought that Z 28’s only came with 302’s
Why didn't the z28 come with a passenger mirror?
whats the tire size front and back?
How much is the car price
those 69 Zs didn't line up out of the factory, either. I own one.
I see alot of these Z's with incorrect tires. Only 2 available on the 69 Z. Firestone Sport Car 200 or the Goodyear Wide Tread GT, both in an E70-15 size. They are spendy at about $330 a piece, so many people are buying the cheaper $200 a piece reproduction tires that don't come in the correct size.
Because we don't want to die in a tire failure using POS period tires . . . .moron
@@randallparker7896 More internet hogwash that is completely baseless.
HEY. WHAT'S UP WITH THE HEADS ON THAT ENGINE? Every '67 through '69 Z/28 I've EVER SEEN with the 302 engine ALWAYS had the double hump high flow heads. THIS ENGINE DOES NOT. Care to explain that?
It does have the double hump heads. Look very closely with full picture @ 4.28. They are the rounded humps, not the pointed ones.
Missed that
Awesome car
M22 trans?
Sucker born every day.
An ass for every seat. Remember dealers are honest and will tell you what you want to hear, except price! Never buy a car muscle car at any dealer, unless you want to pay more than its worth.
Maaaan i want this
Air filter rubber is on wrong!
"WOW "having actually owned a 69 ZED, Canadian.. in the early 70's ...Pushing " DZ" block ...wtf ...68 and nine were 4 bolt main 327 blocks and I can rhyme off other shit, not one Z had a fa tory m22..btw if you have one with push rod guides question the originality
My Z28 had a close ratio M22 trans that shifted like an F350 ford truck! hated that M22. Bad ratios, whiny and slow to shift.
Hi, Murray. The '67, '68 and '69 Z/28s all came with two bolt main caps until very late in '69. The 327 was discontinued in Feb of that year.... (a real shame). Most DZ warranty replacements through '69 were four bolt main blocks replacing the original 2 bolt main engines that were commonly over revved and blown up. Almost one third of the 19,000+ '69 Z/28s built had warranty replacement engines installed by the dealerships where they were originally purchased. 😐
@@alexgolovchenko3791 Wow, Surprised! Good internet research. My Z was built in late 1968 with the big crank journals the 30 30 cam and with regular maintenance, every other weekend I pulled it off the road with 160 some odd Miles! Engine lasted longer than the body. A high maintenance engine, valve train issues but if you kept your foot out of it,22 mpg.
@@murrayhalbert2988 Hi, Murray! Absolutely, one of the finest engines built ( next to the 1967 427 big block with aluminum heads and three two barrel carbs ) I just love '69 Camaro, especially Z/28. 😎
I want that car it's my blue how much is it?
$45,000
Oh ok cool
its a 302 or 305 engine
you have to be careful when buying a 69 z/28 alot of the 302s were taken out of them and swapped with a 305 made to look like the dz 302 also if it is a "z/28" from 1969 and it has a automatic gearbox its not a z/28 and isnt worth half as much as a real one.
+aaron fleming Dude, you truly are CLUELESS. NO original Z/28 from '67 through '69 EVER came with a damn 305 engine. They ONLY came with the 302 high performance engine. 305's are DOGS compared to other Chevy small blocks. Get a clue man.
How match ?
to keep rain out lol
69 z28 302 should have rose wood wheel
That would be an optional wheel. I think what you meant to say is that someone installed the wrong 3 spoke wheel, as the only 3 spoke available would be the rosewood. The standard wheel is the thick center 2 spoke.
No, had 2, it was optional.
9 x’s outta 10
It's a recreation 6 cyl car. lol
