The Duo has completed this show, and the final two episodes will be released as soon as they can be edited for UA-cam. Given that information, it's okay to hint at future events, but you should still not outright say what will happen in the finale.
4:16 It's amazing how this show took single, seemingly throwaway lines of dialogue and made an entire show out of those. Nobody (not even the writers) knew who Ignacio or Lalo was, but when it came time to write Better Call Saul, they figured that out. That's part of the reason why these are my favorite writers.
4:50 I am so glad we got one more Francesca scene. She played this character (at all stages of her relationship with Jimmy/Saul) so well.
5:41 The timeline for this episode is around November to December of 2010. Saul left ABQ around March 2010 and Walt died on his 52nd birthday (Sep 7, 2010). The color scenes from the Breaking Bad era are all right around when Saul met Walt in December 2008.
9:07 When this aired live, we didn't have to wait a full week to find out exactly what was said. While all of the dialogue is inaudible in this version, the German dub had most of Saul's side of the conversation audible. And anyone who was reading Reddit was able to find the translations. We still had to wait a week to get Kim's side of it, though the meaning was clear.
10:58 That's Buzz from Home Alone (Kevin's older brother)!
13:55 That doggie is amazing. There's no way Khaleesi, Milo, or Penny would ever be that quiet for that long :)
14:50 I have a feeling that Peter Gould (main writer and showrunner for BCS) is secretly a master criminal. The schemes they show us are so elaborate and plausible. And writing about it gives him a cover.
16:04 And this is why this episode is called Breaking Bad. The first time we saw Saul Goodman was in a Breaking Bad episode called Better Call Saul. The first time we see Walter White (and Jesse Pinkman) in Better Call Saul is in an episode named Breaking Bad. I'll come back to this idea in a bit. But I absolutely LOVED hearing these three banter again.
17:50 I absolutely love this transition. Certainly teasing us with a bad ending for Jimmy McGill.
20:44 I am so grateful that we got Jonathan Banks in this role. And to think it all started because Bob Odenkirk wasn't able to film episode 213 so they brought him in to be the cleaner. And it makes perfect sense knowing all that we now know of Mike that he would try to talk Saul out of working with Walt.
23:51 And here we see the other, and even more significant reason this episode is called Breaking Bad. At this moment as Saul is approaching Walt's school, he had a choice to get out or to "break bad" and go all-in with Walt and the meth. And then we cut to present day and see Gene at the same crossroads. He could stop now and get away with everything he did so far, or he can risk it all just for the thrill of being the bad guy. Once he breaks the window, just like when he entered Walt's classroom there was no going back.
24:03 This edit totally makes it look like Saul was unlocking your door.
26:18 Hmm... I think Lacey might be onto something here.
The guy represents Walter, he's trying to get back at Walter for ruining his life by taking the cancer man for everything he's got.
It totally went over my head that this was a "cancer man" and a substitute for his dislike for Walt
Jimmy Gene is in self-destruct mode at this point.
Lacey, I had made the same comment about Jesse being visibly and vocally older than when he was in Breaking Bad. I had said, “That is a much older sounding Jesse Pinkman. That’s Jesse Pinkman after his balls dropped.”
Great reaction guys! The second I leave the room my dog would start barking. Lol
The gas station where Francesca answers the phone is the same place Hank got the ATM photo of the RV in Breaking Bad.
Carol Burnett was a fan of the show and had visited the BrBa set, so it is great that they got her in the series.
There's nothing special about that guy. Jimmy is upset because of Kim, and this is his way for dealing with his emotions.
plus it's a good thing "GERRY from parks and recreation" used a knife and fork, that way he ate slower.
And he didn't have sticky fingers!
Hello guys 👋🏻. The first guy they stole from play Kevin’s older brother in Home Alone.
All black and white scenes take place within 3 months after the death of walter white! Sept-Dec 2010
Hey Steve & Lacey.
Now that you guys are back i would like to recommend a miniseries for you to react to:
*.MIDNIGHT MASS.
It's a show made by Mike Flanagan who also made The Haunting Of Hill House.
It's a 7 episode miniseries and i think you would love it ;).
Lacey (and maybe Steve too) did watch Midnight Mass on their own time, so I don't think it'll be reacted to. We are planning on reacting to The Fall of House of Usher (which Lacey also watched, but Steve for sure didn't). I'll chat with Lacey about MM to find out for sure.
Yeah so Steve has not seen either Midnight Mass or The Fall of the House of Usher. I have seen both and LOVED both... we likely will not react to Midnight Mass, but we do plan on reacting to Usher (because I loved it so much and want Steve to see it).
@@DuoReacts Can i ask why ??. Do you think Steve will not like Midnight Mass ??
Honestly... I don't want to say any spoilers for Midnight Mass here... but the main "villian type" ... Steve has not had great history with liking this LOL
25:11 I am 100% with you there Steve. When I was watching these when they first aired I was very confused why the final episodes of the entire series are spending so much time on a random theft that has no connection to the rest of the plot (shown entirely in black and white, no less).
I guess Breaking Bad had Ozymandias with all of its drama and action, and they decided to not even attempt anything like that for BCS and go for a totally different direction.
BCS's Ozymandias is Plan and Execution
Let's go!
