Freddie couldn’t even begin to replicate things like Slaves & Bulldozers and Beyond the Wheel, meanwhile I know Chris could handle everything in Freddie’s catalog even if the style was slightly different. just an FYI since I haven't seen it posted but the drummer, Matt Cameron, has been the drummer for Pearl Jam for the past 20+ years. I feel like their music got super boring as soon as he joined. He was perfect for Soundgarden, tho. He's as good as they get, technically, and that band needed somebody to keep virtually every song together.

I just got to say Like Suicide is about a bird that flew into the glass door of Chris Cornell’s hotel room and broke it’s neck. “She lived like a murder, how she’d fly so sweetly She lived like a murder, but she died Just like suicide” Then he finished her off to stop it’s suffering. They're my favorite band because every member of the band wrote music and contributed. Even Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd play guitar and sing. It's important to note that the songs they listened to were written by Chris Cornell.

He solidly anchors the band and keeps them accessible, and all his bold choices land as if they weren’t bold. He grows on me more and more as I grow.

You have to play Jesus Christ Pose to get the best drum performance. Of all the tragic losses from the grunge era, Chris is the one that really pissed me off and made me sad for the world. And in many ways, I think I identify with depression and destructive behaviors that go along with it. It still brings up emotions for me.
The legend of Zelda fairy sound effect is beyond annoying. I would highly suggest scaling that back. Other than that, Soundgarden is absolutely amongst the best bands ever. So many great songs and super talented bunch!
