forza gon patch this real fast
status update: im assuming they didn’t
Yeah, because both T10, and PG are infamous for nerfing anything, and everything related to their wholly mediocre progression systems in their games, into the ground.
@@Game4Lord That's mostly a PG thing. I can't recall T10 ever doing that.
@@johncrafton8319 Not going to bring up FM7's bullshit homologation that absolutely everybody hated and lambasted for months on end?
Nah they wont, FH5 also has this hack, and they havent patched since FH5's release
@@Game4Lord Homologation has nothing to do with this. It was simply a way to make it so people could be reasonably assured they were on equal footing in a race. It was a bad way to do it, but it doesn't have anything to do with this.
Remember when old Motorsport games had AI you could just hire to drive for you?
Miss that lol
They need that. Not this auto steering shit

Yeah, the series x will literally make you undress. I makes some real heat. I start off in my clothes, two hours later, I'm in my underwear.Floor Fan is working at all times when I play the series x. This method might cook your Xbox, I mean how long will it take to level up your car after a race of 50 laps?
@@darrenfaulkner6896 ffs open a window
@@darrenfaulkner6896dude I was wondering if it was just me but I've got my SX on the table next to the TV and oh my the heat that comes from that thing is more than you'd think. My room is a bit small and gets warm after about 2 hours of starfield or Motorsport. Lucky I do have 2 windows so I use those often
Yah the series x will heat up a small room indefinitely. That's my issue. My room isn't tiny but I Usually play with my door closed and the series X heats it up. Since it's getting colder now, it can easily seve me as a heater!! Lol
During the summer, fan runs the whole time I'm playing. Not even just the Xbox, the 4k TV, they make some heat too. Also my new modem, from CenturyLink, it even has a cooling fan now too, so it's putting out heat Also. Most newer models do. Trust me your whole room needs cooling!! Also extends the life of your equipment!!
I have a theory. They did this car ranking structure so that in the future they can charge micro transactions like forza points or coins to buy your car rank instead of grinding. I guarantee this will be something that is likely to happen.
Clever thought. They probably will do that. But they should fix that upgrade system and instead grinding they should valuate the car by the prizes and races you won with him.
Idk I think they put it in because they knew a bunch of gamepass users. it's a way to to force more game play hours, inflating interaction.
@@notbobsaget5192I think it's a combination of both. On the one hand padding player statistics with dumb grinding and on the other hand it keeps the door to micro transactions wide open.
Either way the system is terrible by design. It completely molested the tuning community in Forza Motorsport.
the fact that the leveling system is this broken we have to resort to this level of fuckery is wild to me. i hope they make it a manufacturer level or just do away with it all together, but they probably just gona patch this
I’m actually interested in seeing how they would patch this🤔
@@Goldblasterblazelike how they patched it on fh5 the reduced the the assisted steering so it doesn’t drive itself
@@Goldblasterblaze reduce the xp gained from auto drive to be so low that its pointless.
@@ofrenic fairly easy as you can register actual controller inputs vs no inputs. Also the game pauses if you controller turns off.
What do you mean broken, i havent had any issues leveling up cars so far. If you mean broken as you have to put effort in and invest in a car, thats not broken, that just means people have invest time in their vehicle rather than just dowload the top ten tune and have all the parts instantly. Man, this generation of gamers is so lazy always trying to find short cuts.
This is just so stupid, the person at turn 10 that thought this upgrade system was a good idea should be fired immediately…
It was a good "idea" but poorly made and executed that’s the problem
So your mad about having to drive the car to upgrade it? So in real life when your tuning or upgrading your car your not supposed to test drive it to see if you like what the difference is or not?
Honestly the only good thing this solves is having 500 random cars.
@@roque_el_koke9638 My guy, this system is an antiquated and worse version of the progression system that was in FM2, nearly 20 years ago.
What is in FM8, is half ass contrived garbage and you god damn well know it. Acting pompously antagonistic toward people for criticizing a product's shortcomings, truly is the mark of an individual that lacks the ability to think critically.
I'd consider taking a seat if I were you.
@@roque_el_koke9638in real life, when buying parts, will the person selling me the parts ask me what level I am when buying the parts? NOOOOOO!!! Only thing they want to see is money.
Another tip to improve this further if you're using a wireless controller with rumble and are worried about the battery dying: Go into advanced controller settings in Forza Motorsport and turn vibration scale down to 2, this will make your controller vibrate just enough to where it won't disconnect due to inactivity and should make the battery last longer.
Vibration is crucial for track feel
@@no-replies you ain't feeling the track with this trick
Could also just plug it in…. Oh wait
@@ghostphoenix666fr you could just plug it in and controller wont turn off?
@ghostphoenix666 or use an elite controller with multiple profiles and have one with vibration off. Then it's just a push of the button on the controller to select the 1 of 4 profiles you have set with no vibration
If anyone’s controller keeps turning off… try plugging in corded headphones to your controller and play music on repeat, that should keep the controller on 👍🏼
The information we actually needed
or start a party that works for me too
If Turn 10 patches this I’m 100% skipping this and just playing Horizon 5 until the servers shut down.
You’re gonna quit a game because they won’t let you NOT play it? What? Dawg y’all sound retarded
"You can just walk away and leave it and when you come back your car will be level 50"
Wow, that's one really long piss!
People defending the progression of this game are the same people who ram into people on online lobbies and abuse the broken system to farm as fast as possible before it gets patched out.
Let's call it like it is people, the game artificially inflates the playtime because they removed so much that they need people to progress slower so they can slowly patch things in. And it's disgusting.
Hey i only ram when someone pushes me off or i see them wreck someone else
I'll just stick with assetto, or even beamng which in my opinion is wayyyy underated when it comes to simulation based driving. But for straight up racing, assetto Corsa compitizione is the game for me
theres always someone ramming me online
@@sethnelson8698acc is legit af an looks so much better
I'm not defending the system but I'm still going to exploit the game to level up otherwise I won't have a selection of cars for online. The gameplay of the racing itself and online system is great
Speaks volumes that people are looking for ways to make the game play itself.
For slower cars, limerock is my track of choice. Just set it to timed and it will work faster than LeMans
To elaborate some (although most won’t see this), in my level 30 Miata (A627) it takes roughly 3:30 to gain one level but I won’t do the 210mph that my ZL1 1LE will do (similar level) which gains a level after roughly 4:00 if not a touch sooner. Slower cars > Limerock, faster cars > Old Mulsan
mugello is longer
I’ve literally spent 6 hours tuning a 350hp Datsun 240Z at Bathurst in FM7 and enjoyed every second of it. I familiarized myself with the track and adapted to its specific demands shaving double digits off my lap times in the process; that, my friends, is what progression looks like.
That my friends is what artificially extending the playtime looks like
I think they should've left all the performance parts available, but only have the 'stage one' parts to start with, THEN get better parts as the car levels up.
Bruh, thats the solution right there.
@@davidlindsay1820 exactly this is a similar system that NFS ProStreet has (lvling a car or finishing a series to get a better upgrade like “stage 4” parts) and it’s effective
Such rewarding and engaging gameplay 10/10
The thing I dislike in this system is the +25 levels.. If the did it only 25 everything, would be a great mode.
Keep in mind that 40 laps on this track takes roughly over 2 hours depending on your car.
This explains why so many high level players online are dogwater.
At first, I wanted to see how well I could do using the natural game progression for winning in the career, but realized after two series that it just wasn't a viable or efficient way to play.
Sure, I'd have a decent car near the end of a series if I bought it just before entering, but I'd be heavily gimping my chances to place/win for the first few races when the car isn't leveled enough to properly upgrade it.
I mean, I couldn't properly tune the transmission until I got those cars to at least lvl 15. And we all know how much brakes are important (that's lvl 10), but I need more levels than that to have enough CP to equip it with all the other relevant upgrades.
And having bought the premium edition, I have an extra 500,000 credits to spend when the game is already shoveling cash prizes into my lap, why not have the player spend money instead of Car Points?
I wouldn't mind the unlocking of the upgrades if I could buy all the upgrades as they unlocked.
Thats kinda the point
I agree...the CP limit is more annoying to me than the unlock progression.
They're both just bad systems combined into one really bad system...it's just a pure time drag with zero benefits. Doesn't feel any more rewarding to get all the upgrades you had in FM7 from the very beginning.
The only difference is you have mandatory hours of sucking attached to every car now...great idea, Turn 10, supreme game design there
Normally, I'd hate this idea just as much as I hated the Goliath runs. That said, FM's busted "Car Points" and "CarXP" system demands it.
If they want to pretend that real racers don't buy the best they can afford, regardless of experience, then they can allow us to pretend we raced 24h at Le Mans.
"Built, not bought"? You can only build it if you buy it. Just sell us the damn upgrades and let us play it the way we like.
Based
Hey they’re trying something different, plus I don’t see many beginner racers sink 100 grand into car upgrades immediately. So what, you want to start off on one track and have subsequent tracks unlocked as the cup goes on? I just hear a lot of whining over a nonissue in the grand scheme of things.
@@FlexedNoose Progression is fine. This is not the way to do it. Locking upgrade capabilities to time spent in the car? Nonsense. It makes far more sense to just limit the payouts on lower echelon races, and increase payouts as you enter higher-tier racing series.
As it is, if I want to do multiplayer races with my friends in whatever car I own, I have to make sure my friend have the same type of car at the same CarXP level and the same Car Points to spend on it. It makes no sense, and it ruins casual multiplayer racing.
@FlexedNoose I've been playing since the original Forza Motorsports was released in 2005... I'm NOT a beginner. This level system is absurd. Naturally, I'd buy a car, open track day it for hours on end, from stock till it felt right. Then brought it to real races. This just hinders progressing in such a weird and unnatural way.

people complain about forza having no progression at all, now they complain because it needs progression ffs
this isnt progression the whole point of forza motorsport games is that you were able to get a old ass tuner or what ever buy it than upgrade it to try to race it against gt cars and race cars forza games main selling point has ALWAYS BEEN experimentation grand Turismo has the whole race cars and gt cars with extreme focus on more realistic circuit racing the customization was never the best in grand Turismo thats why people loves forza motorsport it allowed freedom and experimentation with no limits. this new progression system forces players to level and chip away at there car xp to even get enough cp to spend on part on top of that the game locks parts behind a level gap worse than that the main way to level your car is through segments on a race track and it doesnt matter if you got a 10/10 segment or a 1/10 segment YOU GET THE SAME XP not matter what. this system was done 50 times better in forza 4 with the manufacturer lvl system where instead of leveling each individual fucking car you lvled a car manufacturer to get money off there car parts.
this isnt a progression system when you look at every other racing game out there they all have different progression systems but none of them take the freedom away from the player once they own a car. people want a career progression system that would see one start from low level street racing to becoming an actual race car driver in the gt3 hypercar specs. a great game that did career progression is grid it starts you from the absolute bottom and ends at formula 1. what forza has isnt a progression system its a manufactured player retention program to keep players playing longer its not made for player experience or fun because once you finish a career mode series theres no other place to use your car you just leveled up nor did you level it up fully the game locks you away the player freedom to actually customize your car and have fun in a fairlady going against formula 1 cars. the games progression system is the single worst game design mechanic to ever be put in a racing game EVER especially a fucking forza game grand Turismo got so many things wrong but player freedom in customization is a core mechanic to these games locking it behind a car level system FOR EACH FUCKING CAR BRUH
Should mention that you can’t have a wheel plugged in or it won’t auto turn
Well why would you have a wheel plugged in if you are just going to do this?
This upgrade process is literally pointless. The races have PI index limits anyway so you can't over do your upgrades even if you wanted to.
I've never been one to max out my cars and this is annoying to me so this is going to put off LOADS of players who would automatically max out their upgrades.
Why don't they think about running it past gamers first?
Totally not like the goliath in forza 5 when the game first come out 😂
Been doing 100 laps on La Mans every time I head off to work. Have millions in the bank and quite a few level 50 cars already
No one literally no one… ever. Said upgrading your car is a bad progression system.
This just proofs that there is a big fault in the upgrading system
The developers know about this and they are not gonna remove this. They obviously dont like to see this but its a feature of the game and if u want u can use it.
Pretty trash people have to do this. They should just allow you to upgrade the car right away.
Yeah, imagine them actually wanting to lean towards realism and just letting you earn money and build your car. But that wouldn't increase player engagement. If you don't play their way GP won't have its player counts high enough.
@@aaronsmith7143bruh. You’re talking “realism” when you have upgrade the cars with a separate currency only earned from leveling up that specific car….can’t just use the credits you earn.
still works if anyone is curious, you can also make a good amount of money while doing this too
The car xp needs to be tripled at a minimum. Took me like 7 hours to level 50 a car from playing online. And thays doing race, after race, after race. Whether practice is 7 mons for 30 mins i am out there driving the whole time and it just take too long.
This was a thing when Forza horizon 5 first came out. From when I played it out seemed kinda just like that game but kinda worse and on tracks this time. It's good to see people are choosing to let the game just play itself so they feel like they didn't get ripped off
Forza horizon 5 vibes right here
Instructions unclear: I came back 10 seconds later and my car was still level 1
I honestly stopped modifying my cars because i couldn't be bothered with the system. I get about 1 hour of gaming time in the evening before i go to bed because i work full time and have kids. Its a good game but if you want to modify cars like old muscle cars to just go around a corner, you're going to be there for a while.
When you call yourself a gamer but let the computer play for you😂
You can also set your tires to soft once you unlock them and set fuel to it's lowest setting
Gamepass user time for turn 10 is gonna be high. This is the tragic way of Gamepass. Keep users time on the game high as they don’t sell as many copies now. Their funding for next year will go off user time on the game 😢. Starfield is another great example. Get people spending hours on the game doing pointless shit.
Be mad ps plus is garbage no good games games pass is almost every new game for 10$ a month
😂😂
@@aaronhusain1659
He's right though. This isn't fanboy shit. This is shitty game development practices requiring stupid ways to increase player engagement so gamepass player activity stays high. You have to be a blind idiot to not see this. Look at how shit horizon 5 is with absolutely no innovation made tp the formula and reusing old FH3 DLC. They literally used FH5 to push GP engagement and y'all fell for it. But if you have to talk about PS Plus. Then this is the clear difference in how games will be made. Xbox game studios are making games for GamePass. PS, Nintendo, and PC games aren't being made for a subscription service they are required to participate in. Just look at Halo also.
Bad drivers in fast cars thanks bro u really helped the community with that one I can't wait till these bad drivers get up there with. The good drivers so much carnage
I been doing it but tapping the break once in a while the telemetry setting is god like thanks ma man
The problem isn't leveling, but assists. Way too helpful.
Im glad there is a way to get around this. Its just some cars are going to be quick to do the 50 laps and some are going to take more than a hour
bro 50 laps on lemans is going to take several hours in in any car
That takes out the grind of the game. Even if I had the option to do this.....I wouldn't
This is a really good solution to a problem that was supposed to be a feature...
This might be as dumb as waiting for your fuel to recharge, and that is in mobile games.
It feels like you're making your PlayStation to mind Bitcoin, at least for the latter you are getting money (well kinda, you know what I mean)
it’s honestly kinda annoying that i find myself looking up whether certain cars have specific aero bits in the game or not to know whether it’s even worth leveling them up to level 15, because some cars are awesome to own and display but not the best track cars, like certain aston martins and other vehicles along those lines.
I feel like it would be better if we could unlock any part we want when we lvl up instead only certain things, like they give you the certain amount of point and then you have to decide what part you want for that level and would make builds “unique”
I already figured ways to level up asap since essentially this game is just like forza 6 in theory when it comes to getting credits and now points. But its generally easy to level up your car anyways without doing career
Its more about learning how to make the proper adjustments and modifications don't skip that just to have the car with the highest specs.
This is horizon 5 all over again.

PSA: IF YOUR CONTROLLER TURNS OFF WHILE AFKING
Try plugging in your controller (controller off) into your xbox and if it doesn’t turn on by itself you have just a power cable or something like that. You need a cable that transmits data + power which turns on the controller automatically when plugged in. Try to find another cable and make sure it turns on the controller when plugged into the xbox

Built not bought is a good system in theory. Currently it just takes too much time and sucks that you have to unlock upgrades in a particular order, and have to do it for multiple models of the same car/similar cars from the same manufacturer.
What about the 15 minute reminder genius
I’m getting a bit of Deja vu
I worked this out yesterday lol thats mad im now seeing a video about it
I like the upgrade system and doing this ruins the whole thing. Having to pick and choose your upgrades and tune before every race in a series is fun for me. Just straight up buying parts is actually pointless. There is no investment from the player because money was easy to get. I used to simply max stuff out for the spec and that’s it. To test this out I confirmed it works however you cannot use a dedicated steering wheel and pedal configuration. I had to disconnect/power off the steering wheel and only allow for my controller to be connected.
I used a plug in controller that has no wireless capability so it wont turn off. I opened telemetry and went to the store. Came home to "are you still there". R class car had made it 14 laps tho.

Thanks for the strat mate
This is actually one of the slowest ways to level your cars. if you want to do it quickly, pick a track with loads of turns (Like VIR Grand West) and drive yourself. Only do this method if you're planning on eating or going to bed while the AI Drives your car.
I found it to be more or less the same... you get the exact same amount on the car lvl bar. The only thing you get while driving yourself => bonus XP for segment scores. If you get 10.0 on the segment score you'll get +50 extra credits to spend on upgrades. So you're able to install more upgrades early game but in the end at lvl 50 they throw some 9k credits at you..
So I'd say it isn't faster. per se... but considered your faster than ai..
The other option is to drive the car, play the game, you know
I remember something like this being done in one of the previous FM or FH games. They patched it out pretty quick.
So we don’t hate games that “make you grind” provided you can leave them running on autopilot for 8 hours…?
As long as I got money I should be able to upgrade my car how ever I want
Meanwhile gt players slap 100 hours on the game just to get collector level 50 to unlock all the upgrade parts.
when mobile games have less grinding than a full price sim racer that has ~10 years of experience and was rebuilt from the ground up with the fortune of one of the biggest racing games ever and microsoft backing it up
You would think they would learn after fh5 I had so much money after leaving it on when I went out of town I bought everything the game had lol
I am trying the AFK method on Le Mans..the game still pauses every 15 minutes on my XSX..things I have tried..switched the default battery wireless controller to my Razer fully wired USB V2 Wolverine..I disabled throttle assist completely and put a
rubber band over the right trigger on the controller...I also tried a rubber band over the Right Stick...I added a headset a Turtle beach stealth 700 Gen 2 That Didn't work so swapped that out to my Audezee Maxwell with the USB Dongle connected to the back of the XSX...Still pauses every 15 minutes...any workarounds or tips to get around this would be awesome guys...
Are you sure that you've turned on telemetry by pressing down on the D-Pad like what the video mentions? As long as you have telemetry open and your controller isn't disconnecting due to inactivity, it shouldn't pause to bring up any notifications.
How do I make my controller not disconnect due to inactivity then because every 15 minutes it still says even with telemetry on, ‘are you still playing?’ and pauses the session
The controller I’m using is an XBOX Gen-2 Pro Controller and even when I have it connected to my Series X via a a cable from it to the XBOX’s USB port it still continues to disconnect every 15-20 minutes
Does anybody, anybody at all have a workaround idea for this issue?
Because if someone here knows a method that keeps the controller connected that would be absolutely brilliant!
So if you do know a way, please let me know! (Thank you!)
@@JG_Productions run the game on pc and use autohotkey
This way you can still be trash on the track but look good doing it.
This new system to upgrade your car is kinda lame. I play a lot of online races and it seems the money you earn can only be used to buy cars. Only car points can be used to upgrade the car. Every new car you purchase starts out stock until you level up, even for the tiniest of upgrades.
Yeah I'm sure T10 knows we don't like the upgrade thing this is there way to log as many hours of gameplay per person as they can it's there attempt anyway
The fact that you have to grind for hours for each car is insane. Honestly there's absolutely no point of career mode. You can't even choose what car you actually wanna drive. Choose between a s2k, Integra, or rx8 only. Yes there's 30 more D class cars. Yes you WANT to choose a different D class car you actually want to grind for but no. You can do all the hours and grinding on your own that will give no progression towards the actual game. Not only that online lobbies are so limited. I remember 10 years ago in grand Turismo 4. They had over 60 lobbies from just random people. All titled differently 400hp fwd only, 500hp rwd only, m3 meet, all amg meet, Hondas only and limited the class or hp rating. It was brilliant. The lobbies never closed because theres m3 guys. Their is car guys. Now you gotta wait for 15mins before you can even start a online race.
This is fucking sad man...

Ok after fully watching this video I was correct yall will spend 15 minutes missing with settings rather than just playing the damn game
I hope they rework the whole leveling system. Or atleast make level 30 max. but not 50
WORST upgrading system ever. Cant believe you have to do all this just tondo what you want with your damn car. And to make it worse, you have to this with EACH car you want to upgrade. Even if it is the same make and model
I've noticed in public races ppl will hit pause and let car takeover on some corners and turns etc. I'm not a big fan of this one there's too many issues tbh.
I am doing this with a couple cars but on 20 laps. I found unless you got other things to do and not for a few minutes you would need the higher rated cars as 20 laps take awhile nevermind 50 laps with E class cars
This is genius
Interesting
This has now been patched and does not work properly anymore. It will still do quite a few laps before asking "are you still playing?". So you can kinda still do it, but you can't just leave it alone anymore 😢
