What you should do is "Can you do a lap" and put 5% of fuel in the car and see which cars fail to do a lap - say Silverstone GP, Nurburgring GP, Hakone etc

Top Gear tried that once and it was hilarious. They had a Ferrari 599, an Audi R8, a Lamborghini Murcielago, and Aston Martin DBS and a Mercedes SLR McLaren, and each car started the race with 1 gallon of fuel in the tank. The winner was whoever went the furthest.

@@MikeZak101it’s a car racing game on enclosed tracks what else do you expect it to be. I guarantee you have also said video games don’t feel the same any more. Coming from someone who loves the Motorsport games (I’ve played since Motorsport 4) this is def a hell of a lot better than 7.
From forza 4, thats cute, i started on forza 2, I guarantee you have always said this games better than the last one, What i expect from a new game is new tracks and new cars and not a 95% recycled version of the previous game that took 7 years to replace. @@eliboyd6551

10:32 I believe that is pretty accurate to real life. With cars like the Jesko, a Bugatti Chiron, the Hennessey Venom F5 you quite literally see the fuel gauge go down when you're flat out. So being out of fuel in 5 minutes(maybe even less) is pretty accurate when say driving flat out on the autobahn.
If I’m not mistaken. The Bugatti Chiron flat out has at most 8 mins of fuel. I could be wrong tho

Being lightweight will help you positively on your fuel efficiency, just take a heavy car with big hp number like the veyron or maybe an american muscle

Heavy, high revs, and blunt. If I were to try this that would be my go to setup. Especially if the devs include aero than the car with the worst aero wins this challenge.

the next race nick should do is a ford vs ferrari reenactement. FM has both the ford gt mk 2 and the ferrari p4 and the old mulsanne circuit. i think that would be pretty cool

I have a feeling that they do a good amount of calculations for fuel usage (weight,Horsepower,throttle) i think your jesko did worse cause it weighted less and you couldn't stay full throttle as much as wolfs

first gear ping the rev limiter constantly and you'll be throwing out all the fuel you can.

What i discovered in the past was if you kept spamming gear up and gear down buttons over and over you would start to move very slowly but surely just enough to limp back to pits to refuel
Wait, so EVs don't get slower both in top speed and peak acceleration as battery voltage falls? If so, that's unrealistic, we all know the more powerful the motors are the more the power output falls as the battery drains because there's less of a gap between peak battery discharge and peak motor demand. Its a tradeoff, EVs have the instant torque and no shifting delays and regen braking at the cost of always being heavier and losing power output the longer it drives, and egregious recharge times, while ICEs have shift delays and a variable torque curve with a low bottom end usually and sometimes turbo lag while also having a far longer range and getting lighter by a small but notable amount as you drive, and refueling in literal seconds. If that isn't implemented then it can't be called realistic, though in the EV's case for recharge they could just lengthen it a bit to simulate swapping the race-spec plug-and-play battery pack with a fresh one and zooming back out for more.
Edit: Range at speed is also a concern, EVs don't have any raising efficiency that helps ICEs at speed when the motor is bogged down more, sure you're fighting aero and rolling drag more in both but electric motors don't gain thermal efficiency up to a small total increase at higher loads, they actually drop a bit iirc, while ICEs can gain a few percent or more over their average as the engine load increases and revs drop in cruise, for race cars the rev drop isn't really there since their top gear is top speed near redline so the efficiency gain is minimal but still present, it'd have more effect in road cars, and thus should be included as a tiny, insignificant back-end game mechanic that you'd notice if you pay attention when racing.

nick, i think forza 5 is ending very very soon, remember in fh4, how the porsche 356 gmeland coupe, it was at the very end, now its in fh5, it was released in fh4 at like the last 4 series, so this might be the end very soon
I found the new fastest car on forza motorsport, it goes 285mph fully upgraded and barley tuned with AWD and a twin turbo viper v10, its a 1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15

Small car also equals less weight which might actually result in good fuel economy, at least for a sports car.

So ive heard that the grip setting are messed up in this game. Someone compared identical cars on the same tracks using the same racing lines and all irl cars could take them about 25KMH faster than in game. I hope they fix that

This is not a fuel efficiency test. Different cars have different size fuel tanks, that why fuel economy is measured in miles per gallon. This is a range test
