Nemesis Reborn was NOT what I expected | FIRST RIDE at Alton Towers

We head up to Alton Towers for the second weekend of Nemesis Reborn. The ride is NOT what I expected...
On a weird weather day, wind, rain, sun and hail came down at Alton Towers as I went to experience Nemesis Reborn for the first time. After the hype of opening weekend and having ridden it during the opening week in 1004, I had huge expectations for the ride.
The presentation of the ride looks amazing, the colours actually suit, some of the changes around Forbidden Valley with the entrance portal and the Nemesis creature breaking out are fantastic additions. The station, and indeed the Nemesis beast are looking the best ever, standing back the ride looks amazing.
A lot of landscaping has taken place, the queue, whilst providing great views of the ride, feels empty and half finished. The ride in the past week has been running on reduced capacity, due to the rattle it is creating. We rode row 5, and I was really disappointed with how the ride is.
Riding for 30 years, the difference between a rattle, and an intense rattle which the old one had, is huge. This is a new ride, I understand on the speed front it will need time to bed in, its not running fast and doesn't feel as intense as it did even in 1994. But as a new ride, the rattle is not fun, not intense, and quite frankly shouldn't be there.
We will of course go back and ride Nemesis Reborn throughout the season, the day on the whole wasn't our best at Towers however was great to see it back open. As an original rider of Nemesis since 1994, at the moment, its not the same.
