@@Extreme2SwaggerHD To be brief as there has been many articles discussing why - PC and latest gen consoles such as Xbox and Playstation share a lot more similarities in comparison to the older consoles. And why would they not double dip when the opportunity as a business is present.
@@Extreme2SwaggerHD Simple, people who have PC want to buy it and play it ASAP, but because they release it on console, PC players are forced to wait an indefinite amount of time, miss out on all the discussions with friends at work, all the hype, and have to try for 1-3 years to avoid spoilers. So.. they double-dip, the PC players buy the game on console (and likely a console as well if they dont own one already), just to play the game. I am in this b ucket, no way am I waiting 2 yrs for GTA 6 to come to PC, im buying a PS5 Pro just for this game. Then you also got triple-dipping from people who buy the game on console at launch, pc a few years later, then the next-gen console release again a few years after that.
As a dev myself, Porting a game in different platform is barely a month or two task in today's time period even for a complicated game like GTA. There could be two reasons why Rockstar don't able to deliver a PC port on time and sometimes it's not on the perfect conditions is could be because of their inhouse engine isn't flexible enough to make a faster ports, so they have to do most of the stuff manually. Next reason as you mentioned could be because they wanna double dip which is totally understable as a business perspective.
That's interesting! I also heard for a studio like Nixxes it can take between 3 to 6 months and at the very least a year, to port a PlayStation game over to PC. While other games & teams could certainly take different amount of time to do the job, I don't think Rockstar's problem is with PCs complexity or lack of resources!
They don't favor consoles. They make the games with console in mind as they can't be pushed as further as a PC can be and also they don't have the resources at launch to have the game be ready on PC. One of the ex-developers of Rockstar games has talked about it in his own UA-cam channel and has stated what I just said.
What the ex-employee you mentioned said was mostly about the dev cycle of GTA 5 if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong) and during the 7th gen, developing games was extremely difficult due to the complex nature of PS3's processor and its difference to Xbox 360's. But with today's standards, the similarities between PS5, Xbox Series and PC, a massive company such as Rockstar Games shouldn't have problems dealing with a simultaneous PC ports.
@@My_Old_YT_Account Yeah, that's the problem. The game is probably even ready on PC but it seems like they prefer to hold on to it for the time being...
@@hemangkorane1797 You're definitely right about GTA 6 being extremely complex. I just wish with all the money and resources they have, they would've hired some extra work force for porting games to PC. There are already some great examples of external studios doing this for several different games.
Mate you put into words what I have been trying to explain to my friends for about a year or two now. I'm surprised you only have 900+ subs, keep doing this high quality content. You gained a new sub

Ubisoft did simultaneous release for Watch Dogs 1. The PC version was unpolished and ran poorly, it didn't even look radically better than the console versions. Ubisoft probably could've upgraded the PC version's graphics if they delayed it by 6-12 months. Fortunately, they learned their lesson and released WD2 PC version 2 weeks after console versions, which turned out to be a decent PC game. Maybe GTA 6 PC version getting delayed is a blessing for the PC gamers.
who knows, maybe that's the case but at the same time we have pc ports that look and run on par or better than consoles, both from the past decade and now. Unfortunately, PC ports are a hard thing to get right and it's totally understandable if a developer plans to release their games a bit later to polish stuff up, but it's a bit hard to imagine if that is truly rockstar games intention or not.
F them for hating PC's. F corporate greed, it's transforming everything into an endless void. It's the reason why I always pirated their games. And even if that one is never cracked, I will never buy it, I'd rather die.
I totally understand the frustration. Why should PC gamers pay upwards of $300 (MSRP) for consoles only to play one game when in reality it can be released day and date on PC (preferably Steam) and both the company and gamers enjoy sales and the game like what basically everyone else is doing? The worst part is that Rockstar Games release their titles exclusively on the Rockstar Games Launcher which is by far the worst PC Launcher ever made in terms of features IMO.
@@Superman72185 You mean the game's performance on PC when it launches? Let's hope it's at the very least optimized properly after all the waiting... because otherwise, it'd be the second worst thing they could be doing to PC gamers...

Well said. There are a lot of good game releases that can keep us occupied till GTA 6's PC release. I'm not saying any of them can reach or surpass GTA in terms of quality, but I'm pretty sure that we will be busy with other games till it finally becomes available to us.
But you pc virgins are alright with paying over $5,000 for pc? Ouch. PS5 costs $330 and even with PS subscription, it’s still way cheaper than overpriced garbage pc. Enjoy waiting years for GTA 6 whereas console users will play it on day one.
@DustyKing typical console braindead, a PC costs $1500/2000 and lasts years, i can wait for GTA 6 whatever it comes to PC, i Will never pay a subscription like morons like You

I think the recent addition of anti-cheat to the PC versions of GTA Online is not an accident or an awakening of Rockstar’s conscience, this is literally a hint that Rockstar is testing anti-cheat in the PC versions of GTA Online in order to later use it in the PC versions of GTA 6 and most likely the PC version will be released in the period from May 2026 to October 2026
Very likely that it's a sort of testing ground for their future games. Although the addition of the new anti-cheat system has caused some issues for players who modded the game, preventing even those who never touched GTA online from using some of their mods...
Nice video, I started playing Gta V 4 years after it's release on PC, so what's 2-4 more years of years of waiting, I don't have that many friends who enjoy gaming as much as I do, I don't do TikTok since non gamers will try to get views by playing that game, when it releases I will only watch TheRadBrad.
It is crazy how many people fall for this selling strategy . I have heard it so many times in my environment that people will buy a console extra so they can play gta 6 2 years earlier. This is beyond me. We have many great games on PC we can wait
Still, there is a hope in me that when Rockstar releases the final trailer for GTA 6, they will write in the descriptions something about the PC versions and perhaps the PC version will not have to wait as long as the PC version of GTA 5, because before the release of GTA 5 it was released on two generations of consoles, so GTA 6 has 2 possible good dates for players: either May 2026 or October 2026
the 2022 leaks showed theyre using nvidia graphics cards to test gta6 so that means theyre already doing a pc version which just proves the fact theyre doing the double dipping practice and purposely holding it back until the time is right for it. i hate that rockstar is anti-consumer sometimes.
Well said. They have become more than anti-consumers in the past decade. They're even doing the double dipping thing withing the platform by releasing their games multiple times on different storefronts. I mean it's just baffling at this point!
I was thinking about getting a console to play GTA VI just until I finished this video. It's gobsmacking how profit-oriented R* is... I'll just wait until GTA VI is released on PC, it'll be hell expensive anyways. Not speaking about if you buy a console, that's also so much money thrown out of the window if you only buy one game to play with. Plus the subscription to play online (Xbox GamePass & PSN)...
Exactly this. If I wanted to buy a PS5, it'd cost me $500 msrp, and I had to pay at least $80 for a year of PS Plus Essential online subscription, $70 for GTA 6 and that'd be the starter pack for playing the game at a reasonable quality. You can always choose Series S which costs $300, or maybe find a good deal on consoles, but if you're mainly a PC gamer, just like me, it'd be paying that amount to play 1 or at best a handful of games which really doesn't worth it... at least in my case.
Developing a PC version is FAR more complex due all the additions in technical aspects and customization for being able of running smoothly in thousands of models of PC rather than on two variants of consoles that has all the same components in all of them Later we all complained of GTA IV PC version
I agree with your statement. it took them 8 months to bring that horrible port to PC (GTA 4) whereas GTA 5 took 19 months and still had some weird issues with high frame rates if I'm not mistaking. But RDR2 was released in a year and it was superior in every way compared to Rockstar's previous efforts which "could" be a sign that they indeed made it at the same time with consoles but didn't release it for a year for polishing matters.
@@TheTrueSeal probably they hired specialized devs for PC. R* is getting bigger and more sophisticated, specially since RDR2 development where all the studios works at the same time in one single project, but it’s still very improbable that they would develop at the same time on PC. First they build a great quality world with one-two specs. Later they optimize for all variants, and I think it would stay that way forever.
I wouldn't be too surprised if GTA VI PC version is being developed right now. R* is probably going to add a few things and polish the PC version. GTA 5 PC version was developed alongside the console versions after R* learned from the disastrous GTA IV PC port. GTA 5 PC version is not a port, unlike GTA IV PC port. IV PC port was an afterthought, V PC version was not. GTA Trilogy DE was a cash grab from day one. None of the actual R* studios worked on it.
I'm a PC gamer and I'm really disappointed. How can you release a game in 2025 without a PC port? GTA 6 has been in development for over 10 years, so don't tell me they couldn't include a PC port. We're not in 2013 anymore, when PC gamers were less common. Gaming on PC is so mainstream now that it would be the dumbest decision for Rockstar not to release it on PC. This game is being developed on a PC, and they don't even need to optimize it as much as they would for a console, since they aren't dealing with fixed hardware like on consoles. Either you have the performance or you don't. For me, GTA 6 is dead because I'm not going to buy a console with monthly fees when I already have a 2000-2500€ PC sitting here.
Well said. Yesterday rockstar games launcher had an update adding 3 new folders including RDR1, GTA5 E&E and GTA6's folders "accidentally" to the database. It's clear that all of those games are under PC development, but don't expect us to believe that it'd take 2-3 years for you to port a simple GTA5 update to PC! RDR1 and GTA6 ones are funnier too. They just don't like to port things as soon as consoles....
@@TheTrueSeal Ok, thanks for the information. That sounds a bit reassuring, at least knowing they plan to release it on PC, in 5-10 years. I’m already looking forward to it. 😂
@@DustyKing Bro, I live in the EU, so prices here are different. And nothing about this PC is overpriced. I built it myself, and the cost was just a rough estimate. A console does NOT do the job better-30-60 FPS, and some games run at 120, but not many. Plus, you have to pay for online services every month. Most of the time, you're stuck with store prices unless you have a console with a disc drive. For people who don’t have a lot of money and just want to game, a console is great. But a PC isn’t just for gaming-it can do way more than a console ever could. For example, I have three monitors, which wouldn’t even be possible on a console.
the reason isnt that rockstar dislikes pc players its because every person has different PCs with different specs on each one. so you have to test each spec to make sure the game can run fine and optimize it so its not horrible and annoying to play when it comes out thats why it takes longer on pc and 2 its just simply a bigger game so again they have to make sure it can run every segment of the map if gta6 was a small game you wouldnt need to do much and it could come out around the same time as console but its most likely going to be a big game so it needs more time to make sure everything runs properly.unlike console its easier to make games on consoles because consoles have the same spec for every person that owns one so thats why rockstar does console first then pc after
@@TheTrueSeal i hope i didnt come off as rude or anything ive just seen so many comments of people that say rockstar is lazy to do pc and thats why their games come out later when thats just not the case their games are a lot bigger now due to technology advances so they have to make sure it works for every spec and some people seem to forget about that
I wonder if there are backroom deals with sony and microsoft? Didn't intel say sony paid to delay gta 5 on pc years ago? It really benefits sony and Microsoft to delay the pc version .
Unfortunately there's no hard evidence for this, therefore it falls into the realm of speculation. But there could be a secret deal behind the scenes between console manufacturers and Rockstar Games for this game. After all it's one of the biggest video games of all time, so why not.
in my eyes it's some kind of selfishness not to release such a desired game on PC and consoles at the same time maybe players don't have the opportunity to buy a console or they are not interested in playing on consoles and for the sake of GTA 6 they will have to buy a console when they already have a powerful PC after this it's not surprising that there are so many cheaters and evil players in GTA Online
Double/triple dipers who Bought GTA on ps3 ps4 ps5 are to blame, same with xbox, plus You pay a monthly subscription filling Strauss Zelnick pockets, sadly actual players don't care about anything and want GTA 6 now no matter the costs, the cost is gonna be High, base price Game Will be $80 at minimum plus GTA+ Will be present on day 1 with more content behind paywalls. PC late release is 100% due to triple/Double dipping, despite PC being polished for different hardware combos. We PC players are not responsable for discord server moderators using mod menús while eating Doritos and drinking mountain dew, and we are not responsable for Rockstar devs being unable to put out a decent anti cheat system.
@@-_-DaZ-_- Well said. This is what I'm saying too, PC gamers support games that respect them and that respect comes from a decent port, releasing on steam, pc specific features, and etc.
If I ever became a trillionaire, I would buy rockstar from take two and literally let them go all out with it without budget constraints, including providing all ports for PCs, but this is definitely towards greed from take two and some point of it rockstar for not pushing take two to tell them that there strategies don’t work
It’s because they don’t want data miners to find everything the game has within the first year, including all upcoming updates if they have any and dlc. And another reason is piracy and all the freedom pcs offer over consoles with the ability to modify the files.
Nowadays you can find a PC as cheap as a Steam Deck. More than that, it's possible to build a PC in the $500-$600 range. It won't be able to run games at the best quality, but it can get the job done.
On the surface this seems to be the main reason, piracy. but the problem is, whenever they release their games there will be people pirating them. So what makes things different for them? It seems to be more than that IMO, like their sole purpose is to exploit double dippers unfortunately...
@@My_Old_YT_Account Yes, you're correct. individually speaking I believe PC must be higher than consoles, but the combined sales of consoles (every three console gen combined) is much higher which is expected. Because it is always delayed. I have 0 idea why people were expecting a PC version with the other versions of the game. Not a single rockstar game has launched like that.
While PS5 and XSX|S emulators are still not a thing, I understand your point. When a company disrespect players like this, they don't deserve any better.
Yes, but it is unfair to PC players to wait a lot longer compared to console players to experience the same game at the same price a year or two later.
Doing game development on pc people don't know how hard it is. Releasing a game on console is easier because every ps5 is the same ever xbox is but not pc. They have to think about specific stuff that seem small but really aren't.
Game development is much harder than a press of a button and magically expecting it to run on another platform. This is true. But for a company as huge as Rockstar, with their knowledge, and based on some info available online, it's nothing that would take them +12 months to port it over to pc.
1 - GTAs on pc are more prone to hackers and modders, which affects Online revenue sales 2 - If it's all released at once, people will pick a side and stick to it, releasing it later forces people to buy it twice 😂
I totally agree with you. But couldn't they just introduce some extreme measures to prevent cheaters? because they are releasing their games with some poor online security either way...

Consoles are the same hardware between everyone, PC is not. Easier to develope for something that everyone has first and let the console players be the beta testers
@@TheTrueSealthat’s take2 for you, look how they ruined 2k games too. Also, the ceo said, “we aren’t monetising our players enough”. What more do you expect from such a company?
They don’t hate pcs Maybe some mod issues as no dev would like their game to be modded with hulk, batman or superman, Spider-Man in it 😂 but what I think is that they don’t favour anyone instead they go for profit and consoles are the best thing they could fit their game upon. Pcs are too flexible and if they make a game with pcs specifications on their mind, then that game might not even run on consoles 😂 due to high resources demand. So they first release in consoles and take their sweet time for pc

@@geckoop2848 Fortunately if people like us decided to skip purchasing consoles, there are plenty of awesome games to play on PC. Well, they are probably nowhere near the quality of GTA, but there will still be a lot of fun!
To let people enjoy the game. PC gamers kill a piece of every game by going into game files and making videos about it. Not being able to wait awhile out of greed that somebody else will do it first. I wouldn’t doubt that Rockstar has a dislike for modders. Making their work seem lazy. Like having to implement 1st person on a game that wasn’t made for it. I would delay pc if I was in charge of a game developer company. But that stems from a B in class ruining movies ‘cause he watched them before they were in theatres. That’s what the pc community that goes into game files and all that remind me of. Companies make games to sell (their job, like your mom/dad has) and for people to play. They want players to engage, share experiences and by proxy, spread the word. They sure didn’t make the game for some piss ant to turn it inside out and ruin gameplay for others. Like modders in cod. I haven’t bought a cod game since black ops 2. I have ghosts but I didn’t pay for it. Hate on me all you want for my opinion. I just like to smoke weed and play the game as is.
Who said modding GTA games in single player can ruin the experience for others? Also if a multi-billion dollar company sucks at security and doesn't care enough to up their anti-cheating methods, it's not on players, the blame is exactly on them. Data mining in video games is not limited to Rockstar Games video games nor is something that has been done in the past few years as it has always been a thing. There are people enthusiastic enough to go and rummage through dev files to locate different things from future updates to cut content that "can" and in some cases "will" return to the game either through modding or official support due to fan requests. I'm sorry, but I don't agree with your take and I think this perception toward PC gaming that most PC gamers are either hardcore cheaters or pirates or etc. is just extremely wrong. Steam is there to prove the "PC gamers are always pirating" claim wrong with countless publicly available data, and then there are companies such as Valve who value their community and take immediate action toward hackers in their own games. There are also companies such as CDPR, Techland, Bethesda, and etc. that usually release official modkits for fans so they can unleash their creativity and extend a video game's life beyond the shelf life games usually have. So no, modding is not ruining anything, it's in fact making more money for developers and creates opportunities for modders to find job in the game industry as well.
@@TheTrueSeal I didn’t even bother reading past the first three sentences and I can already tell what you’re about. Breaching security is supposed to be illegal. I just play the games. People go into game files and reveal things that alter gameplay. Fuck those bitches. Exemptions for people who do lore videos years later. If most people think something means more than it is. First off, I strongly disagree with the claims you're making in this video. Rockstar Games does, in fact, value PC gamers, and the idea that GTA 6 won’t come to PC is simply incorrect. Let me clarify a few things: 1. GTA 6 Is Coming to PC: Rockstar has a history of releasing their major titles on consoles first and then porting them to PC. They do this to ensure that the game works well on various systems, from high-end to even some outdated PCs. This approach allows them to optimize the game for a wide range of hardware, ensuring that more players can enjoy it, not just those with the latest consoles or top-tier gaming rigs. 2. Rockstar’s History: Look at past releases like GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 Both games were released on consoles first, and then later, after additional development and optimization, they were released on PC. The same approach is being taken with GTA 6. The game will first be exclusive to consoles, but Rockstar has confirmed that a PC version will follow. This isn’t about neglecting PC gamers-it's about delivering a polished product that can run on as many PCs as possible. 3. Comparison to Other Developers: A similar strategy was used by the developers of Hogwarts Legacy. They released the game on more powerful platforms first and later ported it to the Nintendo Switch. While the Switch has lower hardware capabilities, they kept all the content intact, simply downgrading the graphics to ensure it could run smoothly on the platform. 4. Do Your Research: It’s important to check reliable sources before making claims like the ones in your video. There are articles and official statements from Rockstar that confirm GTA 6 will be a timed console exclusive before being released on PC. Just because you play their games doesn’t mean you fully understand their development and release strategies. A little more research would show that Rockstar has no intention of leaving PC gamers out-they're just taking the time to ensure the PC version is up to their high standards.
that's too much writing to say you haven't watched the video. 1: no one said it's not coming to pc, so what're you even on about? 2: already explained in the video 3: your comparison, though not related to rockstar, is what double dipping is known for. releasing a new gen game for older hardware is totally different than releasing a current gen game late for another platform. What you did is called fallacy and tbh if you want to compare Rockstar to others, there are plenty of massive devs releasing their titles simultaneously for every platform, but I guess being a fanboy prevents you from comparisons, right? 4: You're the one in need of a research buddy. you simply haven't watched the video as I have used proper sources for everything I said. There's no single official mention of GTA 6 releasing later on PC other than Strauss Zelnick mentioning that Rockstar knows what they're doing and in time it will release for other platforms. Dear fanboy, if you want to protect your multi billion dollar company by attacking others, at least do a better job of paying attention to what you should be defending and what you should address. but based on your other angry comments, it's clear that you prefer to run your mouth first and don't think at all.
@@TheTrueSealWhere did you get that I said I didn't wash the video I clearly did watch your video because otherwise I would not have commented second off you're foolish
Greed isn’t the only reason stop spreading misinformation.. Rockstar usually drops their games on consoles first because it’s way easier to develop for a fixed set of hardware. Consoles have standard specs, so the game can be fine-tuned to run smoothly on those. With PCs, there’s a huge variety of setups, which makes optimization a lot more complicated. Releasing on consoles first lets them focus on getting things right before tackling the extra work of a PC port.
I don’t understand why PC users bitch and moan about R* Games releasing their games a year after the first release. Just buy a console if you want to play the game so bad, then play it again on PC.

It is crazy how many people fall for this selling strategy . I have heard it so many times in my environment that people will buy a console extra so they can play gta 6 2 years earlier. This is beyond me. We have many great games on PC we can wait
I just hope they release it at the same time for PC but we all know it's unlikely to happen...
Let's hope things go smoothly this time or at least similar to RDR2.
the 2022 leaks showed theyre using nvidia graphics cards to test gta6 so that means theyre already doing a pc version which just proves the fact theyre doing the double dipping practice and purposely holding it back until the time is right for it. i hate that rockstar is anti-consumer sometimes.
Developing a PC version is FAR more complex due all the additions in technical aspects and customization for being able of running smoothly in thousands of models of PC rather than on two variants of consoles that has all the same components in all of them
Later we all complained of GTA IV PC version
Totally agree with you.
Hackers will have GTA 6 cracked and running on a PS5 emulator before it even drops.
lmao that'd be extremely funny.
the reason isnt that rockstar dislikes pc players its because every person has different PCs with different specs on each one. so you have to test each spec to make sure the game can run fine and optimize it so its not horrible and annoying to play when it comes out thats why it takes longer on pc and 2 its just simply a bigger game so again they have to make sure it can run every segment of the map if gta6 was a small game you wouldnt need to do much and it could come out around the same time as console but its most likely going to be a big game so it needs more time to make sure everything runs properly.unlike console its easier to make games on consoles because consoles have the same spec for every person that owns one so thats why rockstar does console first then pc after

Yeah I agree they are to blame in this situation as well.
TBF more people own consoles then PCs since they are more expensive than a console can be! Its better for them to make a port later!

There are videos out there that go into game files. Then exploits come out and the game isn’t fun anymore. As for single player games, it is the same thing. People go into game files and reveal things that alter gameplay. Fuck those bitches. Exemptions for people who do lore videos years later. If most people think something means more than it is. Like you find a rusty bike in a cave and people speculate but turns out they just put a bike there just because. You get what I am saying?

First off, I strongly disagree with the claims you're making in this video. Rockstar Games does, in fact, value PC gamers, and the idea that GTA 6 won’t come to PC is simply incorrect.
Let me clarify a few things:
What you did is called fallacy and tbh if you want to compare Rockstar to others, there are plenty of massive devs releasing their titles simultaneously for every platform, but I guess being a fanboy prevents you from
comparisons, right?
We should not buy this game on PC
With the way Rockstar Games is treating PC gamers, it's expected to see that many PC players would not like to support them...
Cause it’s always been for console?
Yeah, they always prioritized consoles first.
@@TheTrueSeal as they should

W video
Thanks a lot!
Ah, so you mean you haven't watched the video. Got it!
Ill prob skip gta6 . Bc its prob going to be unbearable 😂.
Haha, that's a shame. What other games are you interested in?
HELLO
Hi there!!!
I don’t understand why PC users bitch and moan about R* Games releasing their games a year after the first release.
Just buy a console if you want to play the game so bad, then play it again on PC.
Your comment reminds me of the famous "Homeless people should just buy home" quote.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 salty asf
Imagine defending R* in this regard 💀
