Ford Mondeo STW 2.0 V6 - Best Sounding Mondeo Ever?

- The sound this Ford Mondeo makes is unreal! This particular one is called STW (Super Tourenwagen), which is powered by a 2.0 litre V6 engine that can make 300bhp @ 8200rpm. Isn't this the best sounding Mondeo you ever heard?

Very nice, I had a V6 Ghia saloon in about 2009, it was heavy as hell but it sounded awesome and you got a nice kick of acceleration when the secondary butterflies opened! I miss her...
Here in the US, they called that the Contour, well, the front end is the same as the older 90s Contours. Now, it's called the Fusion for the Americas.
Here in the uk and Europe, the mondeo is on the mk5 now.
You got the mk1 and 2 mondeos in the form of the contour as you said but you missed out on the mk3 and mk4, they never came to the states but our mk5 mondeo is the same car as your fusion.
We did not get your fusion ether, only the current model is the same and it's essentially a mk4 mondeo face-lift which you mow have rather than us now having yours, the previous fusion models were totally unrelated cars.
Shame they were not sold in the states, this was because although the fusion was a totally different car, it was the same class of car, I think the mondeos would have sold well alongside the fusion and the fusion would have done the same here

Such a shame these come stock FWD. I have one but it runs on 3 cylinders. Handles so mint for an fwd car, rips round corners when you do it right and even does a pretty good donut on wet grass hahah

.2.0 v6? Why not a 2.5 or 3.0 like they all were? With minor tuning a 2.5 or 3.0v6 can easily make 300 with minor tuning.
The Super Touring regulations mandated a displacement limit of 2000 cubic centimetres. The base 2.5-litre Duratec V6 had to be de-stroked in order for the Mondeo to be competition legal in championships running a super touring formula.

The mondeo never had a 2.0L V6 engine, they only came in 2.5 for the mk1 and mk2, 2.5 and 3.0L for the mk3. That engine also clearly has the sound of a 4 cylinder.
It's a 2.0L straight 4 zetec engine, not a v6.

@@harby74 Very correct its the 2.0 KF v6 from mazda. came in the 323f v6 and in the xedos 6 and 9 . And to say that it "clearly" sounds like a 4 banger is even more to be ashamed about.
If you can not hear that its a screaming 6 cilinder you don't belong near a car.
Let alone lecture peolpe with false information.
To be more accurate, they are destroked 2.5kl engines, of course heavily modified, mainly in late mondeos with a lot of work over the stock engine. There are several images over the internet.
