Let me first say that Titanfall's multiplayer delivered. It's fun and addicting, and if Respawn continuously updates playlist and options, this game will have a LONG life. That being said, the single player campaign is underwhelming. We knew this going in; a lot us even wondered if there would be a campaign at all. There is, but it vaguely resembles any traditional campaign. There are two sides, the I.M.C and the Militia. As you can tell by the title, this is the Militia side. If you are buying this game expecting a single player experience, DON'T. Again I don't blame Respawn for this, they have made it clear from the beginning that their complete focus was on multiplayer, and that this game is meant for people who want to play online. I do see promise in this multiplayer style campaign, but it's clear that it is just an add on here, tacked on. The lore, and universe in the game has some potential. If the characters were fleshed I can see the story ramping up to something special. Regardless, I wanted to post both campaigns for my subs who have been asking for it, and for those of you who are interested to see what's it's like. The results of the mission are the same whether you win or lose the match. Enjoy, and make sure you like, comment, and subscribe!
P.S. You HAVE to do the campaigns if you want to unlock the Strider and Ogre Titans in multiplayer. This sounds annoying, but it really is no big deal since the campaign are just online matches anyway, and you rank up and unlock other weapons that carries on into regular multiplayer, so it really is no big deal.

The entire game of titanfall one is just so well fucking done.
Titanfall 2 is definitely a good game, but titanfall one is game of the decade level.
Those inter-mission briefs are what's missing from the current version of TitanFall.

While the execution of a “multiplayer campaign” was a little meh
The idea was awesome. I think most people don’t like it cause they were never really paying attention to the little details and dialogue
They also don't like it,because there was no proper way to actually select what mission and it had to be online
The annoying parts were first this is a fps shooter with its story being told the same time as the combat making it hard to pay attention. The story had no variety no matter who won or lost other than a line or two but it carries no difference in the gameplay.
The game was online only no single player campaign. Meaning this game would one day die and nothing could be done. There was no private matchmaking on release quote me on that cause I think I’m wrong.
I when I played this on my 360 I loved the game and played the campaign mostly cause it had kick ass drop scenes. And loved how in the battle of diameter sequences were done for the militia. I honestly wished they brought the campaign from this game into titanfall2 as a explanation for certain events in the original that couldn’t be explained in the new game. If you didn’t play the campaign. And I think the devs would’ve at least considered this since some levels in this game were remade/remastered in the sequel.

+Teh Hartley1018 I don't think you understand what's happening in titanfall 2. Blisk was, if I'm not mistaken, always a mercenary. He works for the highest bidder. The Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation, or IMC, has many branches and sub-branches. The Remnant fleet, now led by spyglass, is still on its slow journey to the core worlds. It is out of "warp fuel" or whatever propellant is necessary to warp, so only warped halfway and has to cruise the last several years. Meanwhile, the IMC has commissioned a new branch, the Ares Division, led by General Marder. It has hired the Apex Predators, or the merc group Blisk leads. Marder orders Blisk to obtain and ship the ark while Hammond (IMC) scientists research and create a container for the ark and the fold weapon.
I loved how the announcements throughout the match is actual good dialogue and how you can still be immersed and even feel like a bad ass when playing
Man TF1’s campaign grew on me. Certainly a level of appreciation to be had for a type of mp campaign that can swing either sides way on a single game.

In the sequel we got an actual campaign so we just have some basic intros. They’re still much cooler than a lot of other games.

This is not a great campaign by any means. Most of the story is told through exposition, instead of actually showing you cutscenes. I uploaded it more for curiosity purposes. There is some potential here, but it's not fulfilled. Read the description for my full thoughts. The multiplayer game is awesome though! Enjoy...
Respawn said they'd focus more on an actual single player story campaign for Titanfall 2. Let's hope they get it right. Titanfall's universe demanded more exploration and expansion on what was mostly background noise and skyboxes.

It'd be cool if there was a single player campaign _and_ a multiplayer campaign. The single player campaign would have you fighting as or alongside characters like Bish, Sarah etc. and play out similar to Call of Duty missions (E.G: Focused and with cool set pieces) and similar to CoD it could have you switching between characters. But unlike CoD it could have you switching back and forth between the two sides of the war. It'd be cool to see how both sides deal with it and how they both have their failings.
Then the multiplayer campaign would be like Titanfall 1. You'd play as your own pilot (They could even do that intro thing they do in CoD games with the name of the soldier but instead it'd be a custom name you chose) in fights happening alongside the single-player campaign.
50Calabyte I don't think I'd like a linear CoD type campaign for Titanfall. Have you played Advanced Warfare yet? You've got all these epic exo suit abilities like jet packs, zip lines, and wall climbing gear, and the only time you get to use it is in scripted scenes with no freedom to experiment. A free and open campaign would be much better, a good example being Warframe or Destiny, where you can pick and choose which missions you want to do and when, and open campaign levels where you get to choose any path to the objective you want, instead of an objective marker dragging you around like in CoD.

It kinda sucks that even if you lose as Militia, or win as IMC, everything goes the Militia's way. If the story changed with each victory and defeat, that would have been more interesting.
Also, might I suggest, the next time you do a multiplayer movie like this, you do it with a whole bunch of friends so that you can direct the main action and make it more cinematic?

FLANG LANK a lot of games do multiple endings and then got by only one of those endings in the sequel. For example Xcom had 2 endings a bad and a good they went with the bad ending continuing into the 2nd game

Personally think Battle For Demeter has the best opening so far for the Militia side.
The transport ship pulling a Han Solo, the players crashing outside of the map, and then the heads of the ground mission jump in to save every team player from getting killed before they even enter the area.
people talk so much shit on this campaign, but I loved the hell out of it, the drop into demeter alone was one of the best intros to a mission ever, and the fact it was a multiplayer game, where you knew that the other people in the ship with you were real players only made it better.
I loved the immersion of the Multiplayer, a lot of them games now a days just have you spawn in, but here you have sequences and world building

I still really like the concept of this Multiplayer Campaign! Some missions, like The Battle of Demeter were really cool! Hoping Titanfall 3 will have more stuff like this!

I think for the campaign that the player can decide which faction he/she would fight for and by the end of the game that faction the player choose will emerge the Victor kinda like avp 2010 were the player played through 3 diffrent characters POV although it wasn't great it still was a cool concept and that's what I would like to see in titanfall 2. the mp on the other hand should stay the way it is just throw in new modes,weapons maps,ect that that'll do me just fine all in all I can't wait for the sequel hope it's good.

I hope they make a Titanfall game where you play as the side characters, like you play as Sarah while she was infiltrating the IMC airbase etc and other characters that were in the story but they didnt show what they were doing behind the scenes

Def one of the best FPSs even a decade later. The dev's passion radiates through every inch of this game, non stop. Immersion like never seen before. Makes TF2 taste even more bitter seeing it turn more into a gimmick than a beast of it's own, as well as the fact that it pulled the playerbase away from this masterpiece

What is it with SciFi stories and their typical "Colonies rebel against Earth" story? I'm not saying it's a bad plot but Hell, even Dead Space had a Colonies vs Earth war and that series was about horror aliens.

The problem with this game is that the "campaign" is just a series of multiplayer maps with some background added to it, not much effort put into it.
Hopefully in the sequel they will have an actual campaign, but Im not sure what story they could build up, everything just felt like an excuse for you to fight.

Shade753 I think in this case a game like Brink actually succeeds better. It is also a multiplayer only shooter with the campaign being a series of multiplayer maps tied together, but at least they had cinematics to fill you in on the story a little better.
Biankito titanfall had in game cinematic it was in the video, and the most important part of the game is the game play, campaign included.

honestly if the first game ever does get remade or made part of some sort of two pack with TF2,i would hope they add a single player mode with the multiplayer's story, while also implementing the faction selection to get both sides of the story, maybe make it to where you can choose which titan chassis you bring before the chapter starts while the pilot get's what ever he starts with,but keeps what ever they pick up from the last chapter,maybe bring in the loadout system from TF2 only it replacing what weapon you use instead of effecting everything you're titan can do,this is still titanfall 1,so no vanguard level of core changing,maybe even having a moment where instead of just playing as a pilot you play as the story character,but that's all my thoughts.

I kind of missed this in Titanfall 1. It makes the multiplayer matches more personal and badass, although it wouldn't tell a coherent story like a normal single-player one. It would be cool if Titanfall 2 or later on like a decade later if Titanfall 3 did this with cool-ass introduction cutscenes to the match separate from the main single-player.
This is not all of them. There's still left some, specially the ones that play when each faction wins (for example in "Assault on the Sentinel", if you win as the militia, the Sentinel gets destroyed).
I think it also shows up at demeter if it isn't destroyed.

Do the voice lines change over loss and victory? Cause if so then this video is very inconsistent. The result and 'story' events don't seem to change at all, like destroying the sentinel or macallens death, but they do talk a lot of shit in any game that was lost.

The apex predators are basically mercenaries who’ll work for whoever pays them. It would make sense that they wouldn’t choose sides in a war like this cause it pays too well.

It's a lot more complicated than that. While the Militia of Titanfall and the Insurrection of Halo have similar reasons for their birth, those being the vast economic inequality between the older and established Inner Colonies/Core Worlds, and the newer and developing Outer Colonies/Frontier, the IMC and the UEG are two vastly different entities. The IMC is an interstellar megacorporation. Being a corporation, their only concern is profit and they may mask it under the guise of altruism. The UEG is a unified government representing the collective interests of humanity as a whole, and it was born out of a collective desire. The IMC rules with an iron fist, the UEG leaves colonies and nation states with a certain level of autonomy, much like a federal constitutional republic would.
What's more, the Insurrection in Halo is no noble movement. They wish to completely undermine the Unified Earth Government and plunge humanity into a state of anarchy, thus potentially risking the existence of the entire human species on the interstellar stage. Some specific entities within the Insurrection itself might have noble goals, but the Insurrection as a whole is a threat to the species as a whole. The Militia, on the other hand, wish to gain total independence from the IMC and establish themselves as a separate entity on the Frontier. Similar reasons, different desires.
