Colin Creevey was a true hero during the battle of Hogwarts..Despite the threats on his life due to his blood status, he returned to Hogwarts to fight against Lord Voldemort. Colin's death was very heartbreaking due to his age, his angelic face and his bubbly personality. He was always willing to help and decided to come back to Hogwarts to fight, like a true Hero. He was a very brave kid and deserved to be in Gryffindor, thanks for this video Dean it was good to have a tribute to Colin Creevey 😊💪🏻

I always loved how excited he was for his brother to get to come to Hogwarts too. Even more so after I read, "Colin had a younger brother named Dennis, who was also a wizard, an unusual thing to occur for two magical offspring to come from Muggle parents." There was a pretty good chance his brother wasn't going to be a wizard. A less good hearted child might secretly enjoy that they get to be a wizard and their sibling doesn't, but he was genuinely excited for his brother to get to come too, and was hopeful he would join his house. And then his bravery to come back and fight in the final battle when he could easily have stayed away. Underrated indeed.

I feel like Collin was annoying when we first meet him in COS, but I stared to like him in GOF, he supported Harry in the triwizard tournament even before Ron supported Harry. Collin was way to innocent when he died. His brother Denis probably lived a very sad, depressed life after hid brother died. I could never imagine Colin anything more then a small 11 year old, especially when he died, I could only see a small boy in Nevilles arms (idk if it was Neville and if not this is awkward) I never hated Colin but he pissed me off in the second book, even so his innocence and youth is so precious and it's just heartbreaking when he dies. You should do more videos about underrated characters like this one (only if you want to tho...)

Colin came across as clingy and annoying at first to me but as the series progressed I realized he was a brave and honest person who was willing to join Dumbledore's Army and wanted to fight against evil... He was an underused, underrepresented character that had the potential to be so much more...

The Carrow siblings didn't fight in the Battle of Hogwarts because they were held in Ravenclaw Tower, so they couldn't have killed Colin. Still a good video though.

I always thought part of Colin’s Harry worship was driven as much by the fact that Harry was a 1/2 blood who came to the wizarding world knowing nothing about it just like his lack of knowledge and yet Harry was one of the most famous, strong and in the end steadfast wizards during his life. Unlike kids brought up in the wizarding world Colin wasn’t fed the Harry legend from birth so I think a big part of it was admiration vs a pure “oh wow your Harry Potter” style worship. Collin was a little guy, probably picked on before he came into the wizarding world as many if not most smaller boys are so he saw Harry and said to himself, “why not me”. It manifested itself as worship but I think it was a desire to emulate through admiration seeing him as a role model and ideal to strive for. I have no doubt if he lived and Harry matured he would’ve likely been a mentor to Collin. Finally I’ll note that as a small boy he took the harder route of being happy, cheerful and also steadfast instead of falling into the more negative Napoleon complex role some smaller boys do after being bullied and dealing with the struggles being a small boy in a world that expects all boys too be big. Of course I’m assuming he was picked on, etc pre Hogwarts otherwise a lot of my theory is probably wrong.

I loved Colin, but as I was watching this, I have to admit he does draw very similar parallels to Pettigrew. Hear me out, I want to go a bit more in-depth with this:
Both were sorted into Gryffindor, despite their obvious similarities to Hufflepuff, at first (notice I said AT FIRST, Peter definitely should've gone in Slytherin in his later years). Both were obsessed with a trio and tried desperately to fit in, following said trio to the ends of the earth. Both were abnormally small, and both often ended up shunned (whether it was intentional or not) by their idols. The only difference is, after those initial years, Colin worked for respect, whereas Pettigrew didn't. He was willing to follow Harry, Ron and Hermione not just because of their status, but because of their selflessness, bravery, and determination to do what was right no matter the cost. Sure, he started out liking Harry because he was famous, but he soon found he admired him not just for his fame, but him as a person. A person Colin was willing to put down his life for; a sacrifice which was not in vain, as they ended up winning the battle and the war.
Now, look at Pettigrew. Pettigrew, who stood by James, Sirius, and Remus because of who they were in rank; not because of them as people, but because of their status. He turned into an animagus because Sirius and James were; not because he actually cared for Remus, but because it would keep him in their good graces. Sure, you could make this argument for Colin and the DA, but think of the risks that came with this: illegal, punishment by the Inquisitorial Squad, possibly scarring (quite literally) by Umbridge, a ministry OFFICIAL, being forced to betray them if veritaserum is used, not to mention his first meeting was in a PUB of all places. Yet who were the first ones to put down their names? That's right: Colin Creevey and his little brother, Dennis. Did Peter Pettigrew join the Order of the Pheonix? Yes. Yes, he did, as a spy. Because James, Sirius and Remus did. Did he actually fight? That, we shall perhaps never know (Or I just forgot it happened). But what we do know is that he betrayed James and Lily, framed Sirius for murder, not just that, but the murders of 12 people, as well as himself when he actually committed them. When confronted about this in the Shrieking Shack, he says that Sirius and Remus didn't understand, that Voldemort would kill him, but is cut off when Sirius says that he should've died rather than betray them. Pettigrew revived Voldemort; Colin fought against him. They were both killed by his way of terror, but for different reasons that both boil down to them defying him.
Colin Creevey was everything Peter Pettigrew should've been; a selfless fighter who fought for what was right, no matter the rules, no matter the costs. Colin became everything he admired about Harry; Pettigrew became his polar opposite. Colin died a hero, while Peter was taken out through the very same means of Voldemort himself: their fatal flaw, their inability to think of anyone but themselves, which eventually lead to their downfall.
RIP Colin. You deserve it.

As the oldest of seven, I can only say that he was a typical younger brother. His loss struckme nearly as badly as if I had lost one at that age.

I felt that Colin was such a sweet boy, (said as a mother), and his passing made my inner mom cry.
I like Colin as a character but there's a major plot hole. He was muggle born, which means he couldn't go to school when Snape was headmaster, so McGonagall shouldn't have been able to tell him he couldn't fight. How did he find out about the conflict at the castle? Hermione was the only one who knew how to work the coins. And even if someone else figured out how to work them, how would Colin know to go to the Hogshead to get into Hogwarts?
Colin was a member of the DA so had a coin. He would have been summoned along with the already graduated members like the Weasley twins who also returned to fight.
He was underaged; he hadn't learned how to apparate. How could he have gotten there?

Do u know what ok Rowling does ? She kills the ones that make the world like joyful and happy, like Colin creepy, so that, for everyone in the story, the story gets darker and darker. She does this so that the main characters, harry, Ron and Hermione, feel like its losing hope as the scene gets darker. Its just plot convenience. Lets put our wands up for young Colin.

Colin's only crime was being annoying. I saw him as being like a little brother to Harry too, constantly getting on Harry's nerves yet Harry kind of looked out for him from time to time once Harry accepted the shadow of Colin always being around. Colin's heart was in a good place though, I'm glad you brought that up. And he was starting to come into his own by the time the war was in full swing. If Harry ever would've had younger siblings, I imagine one could've been like Colin.

Chinmayee Bhate it’s because all muggleborns are descendants of squibs who came from magical families but lost their magical abilities but can appear generations later into what people call muggleborns and siblings can inherit the magic gene this is the case of the Creevey brothers but one sibling can have magic and the other does not This is the case of the Evans sisters

i think colin wanted to live up to harry potter, his role model, he wanted to be a hero, he wanted to be in the war.
Collin has always been an important character to me. When I read his death in the last book I honestly felt so sad. Rest in peace my underrated king.
