Am learning Spanish with Duo and your videos..I really love your videos buh am facing a big problem which is I can't practice my Spanish cos there's no one to speak with , am just learning and not practising so if I can get a Spanish buddy someone to practice with I'll truly Happy.. I hope someone can connect with me.. Gracias
Oh my god i understood ninety percent of What you said! And i have been studying spanish only by duolingo for 8-9months now. I wish every spanish speaker would speak as clear as you😢😂❤
@gameplayswithM at the moment i am on section 3. Unit 11. With 270 day streak🤗 no other apps
That’s surprising. I found Duolingo ok for testing myself but not so much for learning. Well done though 😊
@@nicedog1I'm also learning Spanish & I use Duolingo as well as watch videos like this, reas online spanish stories, & I watch Telenovelas such as Amar Es Para Siempre with subtitles either in English or Spanish. English to fully understand & spanish to get the gist of the topic. I hope this helps :)
@@nicedog1 same! It takes too long to learn new words on duolingo. I learn faster watching Latin shows with subtitles on Netflix such as Elite. Great show! I'll use english subs while they speak Spain (Spanish) and then change to spanish subs after interesting sentences
@kiam estás aprendiendo español solamente a través de Duolingo ????
You definitely been helping me a lot bro! being puerto rican and not speaking spanish sucks. Always understood it and spoke bits, but you're the only channel that actually works for me 💪
As Puerto Ricans we are expected to speak perfect English so oftentimes our Spanish gets shelved. You’re definitely not alone!
You're such a great teacher Rocky. Thank you. You're doing great work.
I couldn't understand Rocky at full speed a couple of years ago. Today I had to watch this video at 2x speed because I can no longer stand slowly spoken spanish (it feels slow english now), so if anyone reading this comment has trouble with native or full speed content, keep listening and listening everyday!
yes. bro thas exactly what i did so i can learn english fluently. My native languague is spanish
Esta lección está genial. Muchas gracias.
Because of your videos I'm getting more confident and when I speak Spanish, Spanish speakers appreciate it & some speakers ask if I'm from Columbia or Puerto Rico. Besides your videos I watch Colombian telenovela shows and watch a lot of interviews with my favorite Puerto Rican rappers. Since I started teaching myself Spanish. The differences and other Spanish cultures are helping. I found your channel when I wanted to start consuming more content.
I am so glad I found your channel!
Is it possible for you to make more videos that focus on the unique dialect/vocabulary of Puerto Rican Spanish? I hate it when people say it's not "real" or it's "improper" Spanish just because of its mix of Taíno, Spanish, and African vocabulary. There is a lot of value in learning our beautiful way of speaking, and I am interested in learning it so I can teach my daughter. I am African American and Puerto Rican. My mom is from the island and didn't teach me Spanish growing up. My abuela only spoke Spanish, and I learned in school, but I realized I didn't understand my grandma like I wanted to. She passed away in 2019, and unfortunately, my closest connections to Puerto Rican spanish were severed.
I ended up learning to speak Spanish from Mexican coworkers, neighbors, and clients in Chicago.
When I went to Puerto Rico for the first time in 2021 and then a second time in 2022, I realized that I couldn't understand the dialect as well as I would have liked to and it made me sad. This is my culture, and I feel kind of robbed that I wasn't taught the Spanish my family spoke.
Having my daughter made me realize that I want to give her the opportunity to be bilingual and have her feel connected to her culture. My Spanish is all right, but as I've been raising her, I realize I just don't want her to learn standard Spanish; I want her to be proud of her roots and speak and understand the unique Puerto Rican dialect as well. I currently have been speaking to her only in Spanish.
If you have any tips on how I can achieve this without living in PR, please share them! Again, thank you so much for your videos, and I am so glad I found them.
I think your videos are very helpful. Thank you! ¡Éxito!
Muchas gracias 😎
Can you recomendé which spanish speaking UA-cam programes pls ?
Gracias también ☺️
Gracias por este vídeo!
I used the comprehensible input method by watching Destinos, Nuevos Destinos and extr@ en español. But only after learning on Duolingo for almost 5 years.
Man, this video was a great “download” by itself. I just started learning Spanish beyond the few words we all learn as kids in the U.S. I really like the way you speak, and have subscribed just so I can get exposure through your content. Besides this, I am having conversations daily with a new friend that doesn’t speak any English, so I use “Translate” app to put everything I type into Spanish for her, and often make it play the audio in Spanish while I read what I typed in English. Also, I have CDs to learn from in my car, but they’re very difficult to follow. Visuals are better.
THANK YOU!
Also, your beard is flourishing! (Respectfully!)
Great videos, do you have a video of how to understand the fill in words such as "de" "la" "el" "a"......when writing/ reading Spanish.
Gracias.....I watched this video the first time through with the UA-cam spanish subtitles turned on....I was reading the Spanish subtitles along with listening to you talk, and I noticed several cases where what you said verbally did not match the subtitles on the screen. Makes it a little bit confusing, but it's okay.
Hmmmm I have the complete spanish step by step book. I'm also using duolingo almost on a daily basis. I feel like duolingo's stories are enough for me as a beginner to read and listen. I feel like I have to reach a certain level of comprehension in Spanish to be able to listen to podcasts or watch youtube reviews. What do you think? Is time spent learning on duolingo better allocated on listening to short stories and extracting vocabulary/phrases? 🤔
I watch tv shows in Spanish and listen to songs in Spanish and it's helping me tremendously. When you listen to the language often, you start to recognize words and you can look them up with google translate. And eventually you will learn more and more and with some extra work you'll be able to form your own sentences.
But the most important thing is to find out what works best for you and what you actually like doing.
¿Consumes el contento entero primero y despues lo consumes pico a un vez? ¿O es mejor que empezar consumirlo pico a un vez? Gran video por cierto
