I think Little drops of Wonderful , Ruth Knits, and Little Big Knits all have knit alongs that either include yarn that has been given to you or scrappy knits that you could also include your blanket in. Your colour work sweater is gorgeous, way too intricate for me! I love the blanket too, what a great way to use up the ends of balls or minis you get given to you. I really like how you mounted your baby blanket such a great way to display it.
I wouldn’t give up on the alpaca yarn. Your allergic reaction might just be from the oils they use to process that wool and after a good finishing wash or soak, you might find you have no more reactions. Great job on your first podcast! Please show us how you knit such a neat and tidy color work sweater.
Yes, I am kind of hoping that the "allergic reaction" i am experiencing is due to the spinning oils. So will keep on trying :) I think that some of the secret to a neat colourwork is nice woolly yarn, right size needles and some experience. But who knows, maybe I'll record a tutorial in the future?
Loved the podcast . please do it again when you can. You have some beautiful knitting and I loved your blanket . Really enjoyed the colourwork you have done too. Lots of content , thank you.
oh wow! your newest fan girl here - i found you on episode 12 and am now binging you...didn't you just come out with a bang! your knits! the colors! your style! love it all missy! there's soo much to comment on, i hardly know where to start. but as with your episode 12 where i first found you, what strikes me - again - is your English language skills - it's almost as if you can speak in intricate color work, if that makes any sense at all. i think English is a difficult language to learn, or so I hear, yet your Nordic/Estonian languages boggle my mind. sometimes i'll listen to a Norwegian video just because i like to hear the lilt and music of the voice. ok, and then there's your knitting - so inspiring - thank you so much for this beautiful content. now i'm going to have to meter myself in watching the next 10 episodes i haven't seen yet. cheers to you from libby in utah!
Oh wow! Talk about an amazing feedback! I think you just blew my mind a bit 🤪 Slightly speechless 😅I mean, there is good feedback and then there’s your feedback 🤩 I do love languages and they bring me loads of joy. I wouldn’t say English is a difficult language to learn. Not compared to Estonian anyway 😆 And I also love the fact that I’ve somehow have managed to communicate my love of colour, and the pictures in my mind, through the screen. I’m not always sure that what I share is coming through properly. So thank you so so much for your kind words. They are super appreciated. Greetings from Oslo 😘
There are a few people I know who are allergic to alpaca, which is a shame because it truly is a soft warm fiber. My son has an Alpaca farm and I’m a spinner, so I do get to spin alpaca, so I’m grateful I’m not allergic. Your color work and knitting is beautiful.
Hello from Minnesota in the USA. I loved your podcast! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us! I truly hope you continue! That blanket on your wall is simply fantastic! I could honestly spend hours just gazing at its beauty. Hope to see you again soon.
I really enjoyed your video! You do gorgeous color work! Thanks for sharing and I will be looking for more videos from you soon hopefully. Happy knitting & Crocheting from the U.S. 😀
Hi Elo ❣️I live in the U S in California 🤩 loved your podcast and all of your projects your color work is absolutely gorgeous the circular baby blanket is stunning 😍 the colors you chose for Ventetid are so beautiful that I’m loving pink all over again 💖 and I may have to check to see what yarn I have in stash for Fossveien that is a lovely sweater and I agree the body does not need the cables having cables in the yoke is perfect as are your colors 😍 I think your podcast has been very well received ❣️I look forward to episode #2❣️
Greetings from Minnesota. Great first episode. Enjoyed seeing your projects and look forward to seeing the finished blanket.Until next time happy knitting.
Congratulations on your new podcast !!! You did GREAT. I can see why you bought the hand dyed yarn. Sooooo pretty. I am in the good ole USA 🇺🇸 near Tulsa Oklahoma. God Bless
Lovely podcast! You are a natural in front of the camera. You did a great job and I loved your projects. I am of Norwegian heritage and love the traditional knitting. The sweater you're wearing is my favorite. The raglan seam is perfect. I look forward to getting to know you and your knitting in future podcasts.
Wow! I am almost at a loss of words. Thank you for the wonderful feedback! I have some colourwork planned in the future, but then more in the traditional Estonian style.
May I suggest that you try not to crinkle the papers in front of the camera? The microphone is really picking up those sounds, which is rough on my ears using earbuds.🙏
I'm a new subscriber here and this video was suggested to me by UA-cam and I love love love this video. I love all your wips and your personality! I was so so happy when you said you love pink because I am absolutely sold on that hot pink! Strange enough, i have not met a lot of ppl on UA-cam that love pink. Many ppl I've come to know on YT love purple and yes it is a pretty colour, but that pink just makes me happy looking at it!! I live in Cape Town, South Africa and we export Merino to such a large part of the world. We are very proud of our quality of merino wool.
How wonderful you found my channel AND enjoyed my content! ❤️❤️❤️ I do tend to gravitate to happy colours and hot pink just truly does make my heart sing! I see that I still have loads to learn out about both South Africa and merino wool. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏻
I loved your first episode Elo. I shared with my friends on IG and see that some of them have popped over to say hi. Please do come back, it was so nice. Love and hugs Sue xx
Your knitted projects are so pretty and colors choices are wonderful. Enjoyed your podcast and subscribed right away . UA-cam popped up your podcast as a suggestion and so glad they did. Its so nice for knitters from all over the world to get together with crafting we love. Will be looking forward to your next podcast.
Hello from Australia your work is amazing..your colour work is beautiful sending much luv and motivation vibes for your UFO I look forward to seeing whatever comes next 😍
I just found your lovely podcast. I did enjoy it very much and am going back to look at your others. The pink and yellow yarn you picked up at the yarn fayre is beautiful, just my own colours. Good luck with your future podcasting.
Hello and great job on your first podcast! I enjoyed it very much and have subscribed and look forward to all upcoming episodes! You are so incredibly talented. I learned how to knit off youtube a few years ago but am still a beginner and am so inspired by watching knitting podcasts. Your sweater is indeed gorgeous and I'm loving the yellow, pink and orange color combos!
Thank you so much for the super kind words! I'm glad you've discovered knitting. Luckily there is so much we can learn through "the magic of UA-cam". And the beauty of the craft. If you aren't happy, frogg it and reknit it
Hello dear Elo, welcome to our knitting community. it was great to find you. I'm always amazed at how well you can speak English! You are amazing. And your knitting is so beautiful. The cardigan is gorgeous in those shades of pink. There is a long tradition of learning to knit in your country from an early age and in school. In Australia, we were taught embroidery but not knitting as my town was in the outback where it was very very hot a lot of the year. Just a little tip - most youtubers look at their phone screen wehn they podcast but it is not easy for us - it seems you are looking to the side all the time. It's best if you look at the camera lens so we feel you are talking to us. It is certainly something that most new podcasters do, don't worry. if you are looking at US in the lens, it helps to feel engaged with you. And another thing - you can flip your phone before you start to podcast and it will show the yarn labels and any words the right way. I didn't know this for a long time but I think it's in settings. Otherwise, this is definitely a new podcast I am so excited to subscribe to. I was very glad you were a sock knitter - that means more things we can share with you. I have knit Hermoine too -it's a lovely pattern even for patterned yarn or solid colours. Lu in Australia xxxx
Wow! Thank you for all the feedback. Will take it aboard. It is hard to remember "where to look" at all times, but I am aware and will always try my best at improving. I didn't know that knitting tought at schools in Australia. Thank you for sharing. Love learning new things.
Hey, I just stumbled across your first podcast! Love your jumper, the colourwork is stunning! I've just uploaded my first episode too - lovely to see new knitters :)
Lovely podcast! I enjoyed you sharing your work as I was knitting on the last of my summer projects. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful work! Cheers-Mary Kay😀
Enjoyed your podcast very much and look forward to more. I have subscribed! You are a lovely person with a pleasant manner. Your knitting and choice of color is inspiring. See you next time.
Your Ventetid cardigan is beautiful. I think sometimes designs get lost when embroidery is added. I love all your colorwork projects. Would you please include links to the projects you mentioned in the drop down box below your video? Your podcast is great.
Thank you so much ❤️ I am very pleased with the way my Ventetid turned out 😊 I believe to have included all the links under episode 2. Hoping that is good enough 😊
Really loved your first podcast and have just started watching the second one! I have subscribed too - so you can have no doubt about how good you are at this as you already have many many subscribers in a short space of time! Well done, and thank you! I am from the northeast of England.
It is a pattern that comes only in Norwegian. Unfortunately. But it is a very straight forward garterstitch blanket. I am knitting mine out of a sport weight woolly yarn. 😊
Good evening, I absolutely loved your first podcast, it was engaging and passionate. One thing I was really taken by, and am interested in, can you tell me where I can get the pattern for the baby blanket behind you....it is perfect for my Granddaughter, her mother is very electic in what she likes, the blanket is perfect.
Wow! Thank you for the very kind feedback! I will post a link to the pattern under my next episode. But if you can't wait, you kind find it in Ravelry as Hurramegrundt!
Hello from Australia. I am glad UA-cam sent your channel to my feed. I loved your first episode, Your colour work on your cardigan is stunning! And that baby blanket mandala is gorgeous. I looked for them both on Ravelry and found the patterns. You have done an amazing job with choosing colours. I was hoping the pattern was in the same colours, but alas it is not. I have not done colour work since I tried at a young age back before videos and UA-cams. I started knitting at 4yrs and I was probably 10yrs trying colour work and again at 16yrs. I swapped colourwork for cabling back then. I am looking forward to giving it a go now as I have more patience and can check on a video for techniques. This was a great episode and I really look forward to seeing more from you. ✨🌺💮🌸💕
Thank you so much! You can find a picture of my chosen colours, for the blanket, in my Ravelry page, maybe that can be of help? Don't be intimidated by the colour work. "All you need" is some good woolly yarn and good needles. That makes it som much easier to get a good result! Also, a lot of people benefit from going up a needle size when doing colourwork.
Oh, I see. Well, there's the white, a maroon red in the first border, then a pink, a cerise body, maroon and white sleeves, dark pink and maroon in the last border. I think that's about it. Cerise buttonband, neckline and ribbing. Hope this helps.
It was so much fun to watch you! Your knitting is beautiful and you got a great way to connect with your audience. It does feel like you are talking directly and in a personal way to each viewer. Well done!
As a granddaughter of Norwegian grandparents, I was excited to find your podcast! I loved your knitting projects and especially the Kofte by Kristin Wiola! I made one by her, too! I very much enjoyed your knitting 🧶 podcast ! Please make more 😊🙏🥰
It is so fun to bond with people all over the world through crafts! That is one of my reasons to watch podcasts from all over. I would love to know which one of Wiolas kofte you have made?
@@aknitterssoul Yes, it is amazing to bond with people from all over the world! I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada 🇨🇦. I knit the Agnes Kofte by Kristin Wiola. I love it! I want to do another of her patterns, and maybe the one you knit 🥰. Thank you for your reply!
Agnes is such a beautiful kofte! Please tag me when you do knit another pattern of hers! I feel kind of connected to Canada, as my late great aunt lived there most of her life. So you might say that Canada is on my bucketlist
@@aknitterssoul yes I will tag you when I do another Wiola design ! So awesome you have a connection to Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️. PS: Can’t wait for another knitting video of yours😊🎉💛
Hello from the west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island! I really enjoyed your podcast and seeing all your wonderful projects. Can’t wait to catch up with you again!
Hello from America 🇺🇸 I love your channel! You did an amazing job and your knitting is beautiful! I am looking forward to catching up on all your videos. I am a new subscriber.
I truly loved your 1st video! You are a professional. I would never think that you had not made lots of videos. You are so talented and I love everything that you you have shown in your video. I would love to make the baby blanket. Keep up the good work. You are awesome! ❤️
Wow! Thank you for the wonderful feedback! That baby blanket is available in Ravelry also in English. I can absolutely recommend knitting one. It is a great knit.
Hello from Scotland! I have just found your podcast and enjoyed it very much. You are a beautiful knitter. Loved seeing all your lovely projects. Very inspirational, and look forward to seeing more. ❤
Where can we purchase just the pattern of the blanket Pledd i finally 370-4. I don’t need the whole kit. But I can’t find the single pattern. ? Thank you
Hi, as far as I know, there isn’t a pattern for it in English, but it really is just a very simple garterstitch blanket. I have sent an e-mail to Rauma Garn. So let’s hope for the best 😊
Hi! I have received an answer from Rauma. Unfortunately the pattern is only in Norwegian. They allowed me to share the amount of stitches to be cast on and that is 287. Hope that helps.
Heya Elo. I found you through Gunn-Iren's podcast. Welcome to UA-cam. I am looking forward to follow you on this journey. You sure make pretty things. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello from Illinois, outside Chicago!! What a great first podcast, wonderful job! I love your style and already found inspiration in the linen sweater. My daughter loves it also and it is now on my Must Make list. I'm looking forward to your next podcast. Will you include past projects also? Hope so!
Hi Mary! Thank you for the kind words! I can fully recommend the Deschain top pattern. I finished it a couple of days ago and absolutely love it. I have thought about adding a segment that is "blast from the past". :)
Jag hittade dig idag! Vilken tur. Filten du har på väggen bakom dig är helt fantastisk! Så vackra garner du visar och så fina tröjor du stickar! Otroligt.
Your colourwork blanket, that is hanging behind you, is magnificent! Great podcast!

Thank you so much 😊🙏🏻❤️

Oh wow! You are lucky indeed! I haven't given up totally on alpaca yet. But that yarn in particular, even after a wash, doesn't seem to work for me.
It was very nice indeed. You can go on 😉 Thank you for this podcast. Your FO are beautiful as well as the WIPs. The Mandala blanket is gorgious 😍

I was more interested in your cardigan colour choices. They are perfect!
Oh, I see. Well, there's the white, a maroon red in the first border, then a pink, a cerise body, maroon and white sleeves, dark pink and maroon in the last border. I think that's about it. Cerise buttonband, neckline and ribbing. Hope this helps.

Greetings from Canada. I enjoyed your podcast, your knitting is lovely and I love the Mandela blanket.
Thank you so much for the kind feedback!
Thank you!
Congratulations on your first podcast. It went extremely well for your first time! Love your content and cannot wait until the next one.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
