Those enchantments that level up have been used before, they were in the Dungeons and Dragons set which was like 3 or so years ago so you weren't playing at the time. They were called classes back then, they coincided with the typical class archetypes you'd find in a DnD setting (rogue, fighter, wizard, etc.) I remember Ranger class in particular was really good and saw a bunch of play in green decks. This is the first time we've seen them since that set though.

Warren Warleader is going to be a lot better than you might think, because it doesn't trigger only when IT attacks. It triggers when you attack with anything at all. So if you already had a good 3 drop and then drop this on four, you can either boost or make a token immediately. That also makes the offspring value more interesting, because the ability now triggers twice when you attack with ANYTHING.

White also reanimating is a recurring thing from the past. In the olden days of magic, black and white where the main colors for reanimating creatures.
Hey Mogwai, one thing with the Gift mechanic (maybe you say it later in the video but I don't want to forget it), when you promise a gift the card only gives the gift if it resolves, in case of non-permanent spells the gift is given before the other effect but it's not something aside from it's effects, in permanent cards the card is required to enter the battlefield to give the gift, so if your opponent counter your cards they don't get the gift.

I appreciate your perspective, think you could talk a little more about what can go right and what can go wrong with some of the tribal cards. Like, best case scenario: I play Warren Warleader, I untap and get to attack, it generates an attacking token which lets me scry and gain life, it doesn't get killed in combat because I give it flying or it has +1/+1 from that other card, blah blah blah. Worst case scenario it gets removed, but that's where offspring comes in because you can kind of make it be a 2-for-1.
I missed that repel calamity says power or toughness. That means it kills a pumped up Slickshot in situations where Destroy Evil would just be a dead card which I do think probably makes Repel better for standard Bo1. They're both just competing with Get Lost though, which I think is hard to beat (if you can afford the wildcards).
Valiant is going to be very good. It's Heroic but it counts abilities while limiting triggers to one a turn, which let's face you probably weren't triggering Heroic all that many time in a turn either. The fact it counts abilities makes it so much easier to use and build around. Even moving an equipment around triggers it, and some triggers let you target other mice, which triggers their Valiant.
I feel like carrot cake is great fuel for all those cards that are "sacrifice a permanent to do X" like rite of oblivion (which rotates out tho) since it's basically 3 permanents rolled in one for 2 mana. I also think that there is a deck to do with the gerbils and gift cards that gift "useless" stuff (food, tapped fish etc) because in these situations you get a draw vs a tapped fish or a food token etc, I think that's a great deal xD (also they have 2 power which means you double the draws with delney :O).
You hit some nails right on the head, Mogwai. Orzhov Bounce is going to be sooooo annoying 😅, white will definitely be serving it up to Mono-Red, and I think Rabbits triggering rabbits with ETBs will be more impressive than you’d think at first.
I been following Mogwai steps in terms of which card game i'm currently playing, so basically coming back to MTG after the same period, and it feels to me everything gets exiled nowadays, been trying to use some bounce cards but a lot of times they are just useless, you'll need to force your sacrifices
@@DinoIAmNoHoster I would say, just wait for rotation… Orzhov Bounce with the faeries is decent right now, but after rotation I feel Dimir bounce will have a place for sure. To Miguel’s point, I whole-heartedly agree that Standard Arena will be a better place when Farewell exits… it’ll just be Sunfall to watch out for.
Are you also gonna make a video for all the multicolored cards as well? there's some multicolored cards that I think you'll like a lot and I wanted to see your thoughts on those as well!

I recommend using Scryfall to go through the set preview. You can filter it so only the color you want to see shows up, no ads and its much cleaner.

Builders talent level 2 would work with treasure tokens right? Maybe that’s some synergy?
