i know x games can really only go off "what popular" or what the audience will support. but i really miss the aggressive inline street comps. would love to see some of those throwback !
These were the Bmx days! I always wanted to do x games because of this! I be going to skatepark everyday after school working on tricks! Then felt like Bmx went downhill ending up picking up downhill mtb!
Murray doing a double backflip on those sketchy dirt jumps from back then is truly something amazing so sad that he was paralyzed doing it then got little help on medical bills and care from sponsors that he risked his life for... Just so they could profit from his name.
I remember when I had all the episodes saved from EXPN Videoseach back in the day. Please upload more old full events. Winter X MotoX Big Air please! 🗣
Now we just need: BMX Park Comp 2004: X GAMES THROWBACK, Freestyle Moto-X Comp 2004: X GAMES THROWBACK, FMX Best Trick Comp 2004: X GAMES THROWBACK, BMX Dirt Comp 2004: X GAMES THROWBACK, and so it goes. Every single contest ever.
Can you guys get the 2002 BMX vert contest up? The one in Philly. I was there with my dad in the top level and Dave Mirra’s first run was absolutely insane
These games make me wanna try BMX, in fact since 2011 I always wanted to be on the X-Games. I tried to skate, but I kinda suck at the moment, but since I'm a little more skilled with a bike, I might try to get one of those types. Is there an age limit for when one can join the BMX events? I know for skateboard there have been preteens age 11 and up, but I usually see older BMX bikers, around their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
This is great, I'd love to see more old school full events, thank you for uploading this one!
We're trying to get one event up per week!
@@XGames day*
@@NagasakiBladers It's hard to dig up old events while working remote!
@@XGames I understand, just greedy for more :)
The good old days of bmx...huge crowds..miss these times..awesome throwback...2 thumbs up👍👍
Nyquist is a true legend of BMX. Congrats from Brazil!
Nastazios last run was so nasty how did he not jump into a medal at least a bronze of silver for that difficulty of tricks and rhythm!
THANKS SO MUCH! get us some fmx events from 2002 - 2006, it was the best feeling seeing how fmx was evolving through these years
snow fmx too

Cory always got screwed in contests but always was the one everyone remembered.
yoooo thanks for posting these old school events. keep doin this. got my full support
Xgames bring back more oldies! The gold era of X-games!!! Love it!
Crazy how many guys were running S&M & Fit parts. Stephen Murray had pitchforks, and I think Allen Cooke was running fit bars & stem.
I seen a guy running good ole maxxis tires man...I run those now
The number of medals won on bikes with S&M Pitchforks is pretty high at this point.
S&M best in the bizz!

So many legends in one video :)
Excelente video!! Old school bmx 🔥💪👏👍
Sthepam Murray the beast for ever

Loved watching this! Nothing can to bar is so sick even to this day.
45lbs bikes and undersized bars. those guys were machines
This was slightly past the heavy bike phase. Maybe 30 lbs?
@@XGames somewhere in between would be a fair assumption, i guess.

It's coming!
BMX DiRT Let's Ride Up !
Ryan Nyquist formula of winning bmx dirt was awesome
More of this, please.
Nyquist was always so consistent, goat
That was an amazing video, because it is a bit of a throwback.
Awsome please add more of this era bmx park and dirt and also skate ? Thanks
When 44/16T drivetrain was the game.

2004 FMX Prelims was sooo stacked!!
This is so awesome 🤙
I can imagine the gen y cool kids watching this in 2003 and saying after every trick “so sick man”
LOL 2003. All the guys with the gelled spiked hair.
Weird seeing Murray crash knowing what will happen 4 years later. Just a reminder of just how fragile life is.
This is epic!!
This looked sick
All events that take two best runs should have more than two runs like the old events.
Thats so cool, you think they would be good in descenders I like the tricks
BMX IS THE GREATEST SPORT IN THE WORLD!
The camera flashes LOL
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 nyquist
Looks like my high pitched Motherly shrieking at my computer monitor for them to wear a helmet actually worked
Shrieking always works.

Amazing🤪
Murray's last Xgames 😥
I always was bummed about the old xgames coverage. They skip most of the riders. Aitken and foster no footage
What did cooke ride? The 415 or "S" works?
The golden era
What is Ryan niquist handlebars?
Older Haro 4-piece.

@@XGames yeah a little more about Buyten and Clowers, they were great🤘
🎰
The old fmx and bmx dirt courses were so much better. Bigger and more flowy.
What was the gear ratio for this guys back then?
The standard ratio was 44/16.
@@zede77 In the '80s, yes, but by 2003, smaller ratios were beginning to be used more often.
36/13 was the flavor of the day in 2003.
X Games awesome, thanks
@@XGames nah 44/16 was still it then. look at the bikes.
🙏💜🤘
epic

that guy with the mohawk should've won
This is sick but
2003 is still my s@&%.
And riders like Brian Foster are timeless!
