true facts right here Pizza and all watching. my grandma was in her 40's , mom just a young girl at that time. in the 1960's when i was young gram and mom told me all about that radio broadcast, how the people were panicked, terrified, banging on their neighbours doors, freaking out. they told me first hand how frightening it was. p.s. RIP mom, grandma ❤ 🧓😌
boy howdy! i forgot its friday, this looks like a goodie, the golden age of television here in my house, courtesy of PizzaFlix! now Roll that film 🎬🎥🥂🧓
When the actual broadcast occurred in 1938, my mother was only five. She and her parents lived in Brooklyn, NY. Her mother, my grandmother, believed it; woke my mother up and fled into the streets!
Classy commercial for the washing machine. If only she knew the real "shape of the future"! 😢😢😢😢😢 She's very elegant, though. What a dish as they would've said in the '50's! 😅😅😅😅
I thought this was an outstanding retelling of that event. And being a huge Old Time Radio fan, it shows the beauty & orchestration that went into radio programs. Thank You SO much, 🍕 Flix!
This was tough to swallow in the context of the fires in Altadena and the influence of news media. While the fires are a real event, the effect on us as human beings is not deniable. Irresponsibility use of power in either case.
The population of the whole country in 1952, was 100,000,000 ppl. The literacy rate in MI, was 80%. The media WAS the radio & newspapers. Many, many ppl couldn’t afford a car !!! Soo, what’s your point ?
Thanks!🧓
Thank you
Thanks for showing this. Good commercials too.
Yeah...good commercial and she's so classy. What a dish! 😂😂😂😂😂 If only she knew the real "shape of tomorrow" and I don't mean washing machines. 😢😢😢

Serves them right for being dumbasses and believing everything they hear on the radio.
