I don’t know if I’ve ever said this about a watch before, but one of the coolest and most unique things about this watch is the case back. Usually a case back is just an after thought. This one is a work of art! I love how they took every opportunity to step this watch up to the next level.
Ok, that’s nuts. Yeah very worth the price. If I hadn’t purchased a new GS last month I would go for this. Finally a watch with an integrated bracelet that’s worth the price and time. Great review!
I think comments calling it junk or cheap are rooted in bias towards China. The price point is spot on for what you get. The hand polishing on the case and bracelet as well as the hand guilloche dial make this a rarity at the price point. Movement is modified and beautifully thin. The Peacock factory makes parts for many higher-end brands. It is not a $10K-$20K watch. It covers the $3K price point nicely. Look forward to watching this company progress.
With all the guilloché dials being released lately (Rolex, Citizen) I was thinking about this watch a lot. Would be cool to compare this type at different price points.
The movement could be better, but the accuracy is no worse than an NH movement from Seiko. I really don't understand the comments. Granted, the styling may not be to everyones taste but junk, crude, or garbage? The dial is magnificent, and very, very few can do it. Its hand made and takes 8 hours alone... that is not garbage or junk. The case and bracelet look good, too, with nice microadjustment that some major watch brands won't do. Again, styling is subjective, but one without bias can tell this watch is a great effort and not junk.
Very beautiful watch, I have always liked it and was tempted to purchase when first released but the after market servicing was my main concern and still is !. As if anything were to go wrong with the movement it would have to be sent back to China or France I believe. UK customs are a pain!
I like it alot and been contemplating buying one but was always hesitant due to the movement, it feels very cheap. Otherwise great watch, I wished to catch the red Chinese special edition but unfortunately I did not. That would have made the decision much easier for me.
I want to see a fluid moving second hand on a dial! And the most important point; Reducing the case thickness of watches by removing the second hand mechanism is not real case thinning engineering.
After decades of producing fake watches, you'd think they could have learned everything there is to learn about watches by now. But it seems they just want to sell fakes and fulfil drop-in orders.
It looks great. Very impressive and fairly priced for the work that it has put into. It would have been perfect if only the movement was a Swiss made caliber. A Chinese non hacking unreliable movement simply doesn’t match the high quality case and dial of this watch.
Change my perception?! I'm pro Chinese made. I prefer Chinese watches over my Swiss. I'm pro _admitting_ to being made in China, because most "Swiss" brands are merely being assembled in Switzerland from parts produced in Southeast Asia. Cut out the middle men and the fantasy of a Keebler Elf happily working away in a snowcapped workshop in the Swiss alps. I don't like the Swiss and them holding back the watch industry for 50+ years.

Two French dudes make a watch about China in China from China. Sounds like another De Rucci shenanigans. Cool watch, but too much baggage for my taste.
Still waiting for a manufacturer that have the balls NOT to put their brand on the dial that don’t have an astronomical price. Logo is ok but the "Atelier Wen" sticks out like a sore thumb to me.
@@EscapementWatch true but it's also softer and scatches more easy. The way you guys delude yourselves only to talk down on chinese craftsmanship is crazy. If this had a swiss brand name on the dial you guys would not complain if it cost 5 digits
There are a lot of scratches and imperfections on the dial and tweezer marks on the hands, plus a lot of dust. This is not worth the price. Good attempt though, so I give them recognition for that.

The dial of Rolex new dress watch looks like a lot with this unique timepiece

The ingrained "China equals bad" mindset spans generations. Atelier WEN aims to transform this perspective!
Stunning dial work
It really is!
Nautilus and 222 finally had a baby

Glad you enjoyed it!
Atelier wen is realy nice watch, looks elegant, modern and classy, anothing cheap, but will be a big sucess i hope

not even chinese, there are microbrands even from malaysia or singapore doing great work lmao
