NOOOOBOOOODY could tell me about the --sv.. Thank you !!! I asked MJ they did not know...This is important, because if 7 comes out and its updated and we lose more organic artistic feel, we can resort back. 6.1 is good when you need things tight. but 6 is the art monster.
Thank you very much for this tutorial 💖 if i have two elements in my image, for example, a room and a character, can i use two separate seeds in the prompt? For example, if i want to repeat the room.
8:10 regarding cref, I’ve had issues where I’ve generated a character before, saved that as a prefer option set, and tried to make a new generation of that character but it consistently looks flatter, lower detail, and doesn’t look like the character at all sometimes. Is there a fix for this?
I recommend trying out some different keywords in your prompt text to counteract any style aesthetics that you don't want in your results. For example, if you want a brighter photographic style image, use something like "photo taken with Kodak Portra 400 film". I have a playlist with a bunch of prompt ideas if you are interested. CREF won't always give you a character that is highly similar to the reference. It tries its best, but isn't perfect. CREF in V7 should be much better (coming next month).
@@woollyferncreativehoping v7 is better with it cuz sometimes it’s a real hit or miss with it. Also I tried that whole camera prompting but have heard mixed reviews, some saying that MJ doesn’t know different camera/film types
@@ashleymartin3260 Yea, Midjourney isn't always 100% true to the exact film or camera type necessarily, but using camera and film keywords can definitely help. Kodak Portra 400 always gives me brighter photographic images compared to something like Kodak Gold. Vintage film routinely applies a vintage look, etc. It just takes a little testing to see what works best for your prompt.
I have never used Midjourney before. Your video is really helpful in showing what I can do with Midjourney. I am considering purchasing a standard membership for Midjourney. But I don't know if I should purchase a yearly or monthly plan, because the edit feature is currently not available for monthly members.
Thank you! My general recommendation is to try one month of the Basic or Standard plan to get a general feel for the system and then decide what subscription will best suit you. The standard plan is the best deal (compared to the basic plan) because you get access to unlimited image generation with Relax mode. I have a Beginner Guide here: ua-cam.com/video/fjJDQdIbnHE/v-deo.html The Basic Image Editor is available with all subscriptions: ua-cam.com/video/n4apjbyNfGE/v-deo.html However, the Full Image Editor (ua-cam.com/video/qUw85p1hyhM/v-deo.html), which allows external upload and has the Retexture feature, is limited as you mentioned.
@@woollyferncreative I have watched many of your videos, and they are very helpful and efficient. Thank you so much! I also noticed that Midjourney has been updated several times, and it seems to handle realistic photos very well. I plan to subscribe to the base monthly membership as you suggested and give it a try first. Do you think Midjourney will make the editor feature available for monthly subscribers within the next month? If the experience aligns with what I’m looking for, I’m inclined to continue with the monthly subscription.
Thank you! Yes, Midjourney has gone through numerous updates. Many new features were introduced this year (SREF, CREF, personalization, Image Editor, etc) even though only two models were released (6.0 and 6.1). There's no sign of that slowing down into 2025, in fact, it will probably get crazier lol. They've talked about making the Full Image Editor (external image editing and retexture) available to more users, but I don't anticipate that happening in the next month. I think the main thing holding them back is ensuring their new moderation system (automated+human) is sustainable for that kind of load. The Basic Image Editor, though, is available to everyone - it just doesn't have external upload or retexturing.
@@woollyferncreative Thank you so much! I have subscribed to the Basic monthly plan and just completed the Level One phase of personalization with 200 images. I’m now working on the Level Two phase with another 300 images. I think you’re right-if the editor feature isn’t available next month, it’s okay. I’ll decide then whether to continue with the monthly plan (Basic or Standard) or switch to the annual Standard plan.

No problem! The seed parameter applies to the entire image grid, so you cannot use two seed numbers in a single prompt.
Nice video, can there be sound? Can our characters talk and dialogue with each other?
Thanks! No, they didn't have any features like that yet. Their first image-to-video model will be released next month.

Was there a specific parameter that convinced you? 😀
💖
I didn't even know you could use it outside of discord lol
Yep! I think the website is a lot easier to use, especially for beginners, and it has features like the image editors.
@woollyferncreative yep way faster so far esp when using images for cw and style.
That could also be because they've made relax mode super fast for everyone for the rest of the year 🙂, but, enjoy!
Very clear, thanks ❤
