I think it was when I was maybe 12 years old that I was in a Christian bookstore and my mom said I could get any CD that I wanted, I asked the guy there to give me the heaviest CD that he had. What I received was the splinter shards, and in 2 years I was ready to listen to how heavy those guitars were, and then in about 5 more years when I was telling people in the big city I moved to my first metal band I got a lot of cred and enjoyed playing metal for a long time. When I was 33 I had a big mental break and when I was 36 I had a personal congress with Jesus Christ. Thanks guys.
The production, the thumbnail, the song etc it’s all so 🔥 I hope there’s another record in the future because Crimson Corridor was for me along with many others AOTY.
I forgot it was the Training for Utopia/Zao split i used to have, I don't know how i confused it with the set apart/chalice ep 😅 regardless i remember picking up both Splinter Shards and the split EP at the same time. Shortly after I bought Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest...at one point i used to own every cd... pretty safe to assume im a huge fan
We just picked a consistent right/left split for the audio mix. Technically speaking there are different moments that no matter which one we picked the visual/audio would be "wrong" based on camera angle
I'm 40 years old and have absolutely LOVED Zao since I was 12 or 13 years old. Guess I didn't "grow out of it" 😆
One of the best songs from the best album ever recorded. Thank you for including a song from Where Blood And Fire Bring Rest in this lineup.
One of my all time favorite albums

Yes great song from their best album!
Absolute favorite album of theirs.
What Dan, Russ, Brett and Jesse made with Blood and Fire was something really special that I’m glad I was around to experience.

Just my OCD here, but are the guitarists are swapped in the stereo mix? Been listening for years. Keel kicking ass!
