@@OneVazyBoi it is possible to time it somehow. In order to even get the cutscene, you would have to fail to parry one of the orbs.

Frontiers was more of a love letter to Sonic than anything from the Meta Era including Generations. That Fleetway close-up, the Sonic X vibes with that cannon shot, and Adventure 2 feels with Super Sonic floating in space and going into orbit. That’s just from this free DLC alone!

Sonic, up until he goes into the rifle, is entirely holding back to make sure to retain the power.
Only when he says “Sorry King, but it looks like I’m going all out afterall” is when he uses all of his power.
Sonic is folding his arms, and only using movements that are necessary such as swaying his hand just to parry.
All being clear cut signs of sonic holding back.
This boss fight permanently cements why Sonic the hedgehog is so effortlessly badass. No objections

Finally, Sonic Frontiers has the cinematic, intense, challenging, downright awesome final boss it always deserved
I swear I got a perfect sync on the final QTE and it was the most hype shit ever because it was also my first playthrough of the boss
That sort of thing always seems to happen to me and then I can never reproduce it again 😭
Love how super sonic is first drained out its ascended form before failing to stop the ball and then is knocked out of super sonic fully

@astron4606 that's true though I do also recall the extra boss in sonic advance 2 was also capable of damaging super sonic as well if you were frozen and then sucked into the machine you lost basically 10 whole rings out of the 50 you normally have during the fight

That final blow is one of the most badass things Sonic has ever done. He knew the risks of going all out with his new Cyber form, yet he still poured absolutely everything he could into that final attack to guarantee he would anhilliate The End before it was too late. Though I do wish he showed more signs of injury or something after the battle as him just walking it off like nothing happened kinda ruins the impact of what I just said (to be fair I don't think the Master King ever said the Cyber form would harm Sonic, just leave him, but he did seem to be struggling to channel the power and it leaving him shouldn't matter if he was going for the kill).
The chaos emeralds can restore their user's condition, that's why he doesn't show any injury after the chaos emeralds scatter.

Still wondering why when Sonic was temporarily knocked out of Super Sonic form the chaos emeralds didn't fly off.
Here’s my theory lol
The emeralds and ancients came to the starfall islands because of the Master emerald sort of calling out to the Chaos emeralds
The chaos emeralds have been through before they know who The End is, they know that The End is the one that put them on that journey of constantly finding a new home
I think the emeralds wanted to win just as bad as sonic did cause they’re fighting the thing that destroyed not only the ancients’ home but the Chaos emeralds home
Literally thought of this just now lol so don’t expect to be a perfectly fleshed out theory lol
He still has rings, which is also why you can actually die in that cutscene if you have below 100 rings, since right after you get back into the fight, you get put with 99 rings no matter what your count was before.
I think i heard that emeralds know when thier power is needed or smth
@@Nerdisium I knew about getting knocked down to 100 rings but I didn't know that it you enter that sequence with less than 100 rings, it's insta game over.
Leaving the form doesn't instantly make them fly off, in most cases it's an external source that makes them blast away
Super Sonic have never felt this super before.
With this Perfect Super Sonic form i think he got a massive upgrade to his arsenal of abilities and form considering he parry's attacks that would usually push you back like it's nothing with just a single hand swipe

Also; not only can The End [while possessing Supreme] hurt Super Sonic [Rare as it is] but even a powered-up Super Sonic; which pretty much confirms The End as the strongest force Sonic has faced.
I’m mean it did say that every past foes sonic fought where nothing compared to it in the og battle so I guess it wasn’t lying

Super sonic 2: name is a homage to ssj2 and is Sonic's version of ui(grand slam animation, sharp gaze, silent demeanor and double aura/outline with sparks and particles)
Super sonic cyber: Dark Sonic's colors, Fleetway Sonic's appearance, mui silver eyes and hyper Sonic's power (it was supposed to be hyper Sonic at first but they scrapped it off and replaced it with cyber sonic instead)
Easily one of the most hype things I've seen in a game.
