  • Learn how to sign fun mnemonics that contains elephants and a lion putting them in their place! The ASL tip of the week at the request of many will have the theme of improving fingerspelling reception skills for the month of May.
    This is THE how-to channel for American Sign Language (ASL) for all levels.
    One Fact ASL videos cover a broad range of signs and ASL grammar that can augment all levels of book and classroom learning. Lessons are taught by a deaf instructor using English sentences translated into pure ASL step by step. Videos are subtitled and speed controlled so you can catch every detail.
    Don't forget to turn on the captions and remember you can control the speed to your level in settings!

    Oh my goodness! I needed this so much. Thank you. Now I can really get better at my finger spelling! That lil tip made all the difference in the world. Your story telling is amazing! I totally was able to pick it up quickly. Look forward to more of your videos! 🙏🏽❤️💯

    Thanks for the tip! The Signing Naturally textbook videos really jump up in speed once you get to the intermediate level and I always have to replay the fingerspelling portions of the videos like 10 times to understand it! (Doesn't help that they only show you the side view sometimes!)

    You. Are. AMAZING!!! I just found this channel and I'm so so thankful that I did! I'm going deaf as an adult (a broke adult at that) so I've been learning from Dr. Vicars on youtube, which led me here. I'm so happy to have another resource for learning! The way you broke down that story had me following your sign instead of the captions for the first time ever, so thank you :) You've boosted my confidence exponentially. Can't wait to watch more :)

    Thank you, in the deaf community for about 15 years, just starting the INterpreting program, I learned PSE and very fluent in PSE. Going back to ASL is a struggle, thanks to your tips this is needed. Thank you again.

    It was super helpful for you to go slowly through the story and explain how to sign it, a little at a time. Then, when you went through each section, I could actually understand what you were saying. Then, I could even understand a little of the story fast speed. Brand new at ASL.

    Thank you so much ! I hope I can find more of your videos. As a hearing parent trying to learn sign for my child, receptive spelling is the toughest thing for me. I watch as many videos and take as many "practice tests" as I can but still get discouraged. This is the first video I've been able to find that talks about how letters can blend together and specifically how to focus on hand shape and movement vs deciphering individual letters.

At my students requested they asked for these kind of video to help them retain and reforce their lessons and this is how it all began. • @OneFactASL
      @OneFactASL  3 роки тому +3

      There is a neat trick you can do to slow down the video to your speed and then gradually speed it up as as you learn. You can go to setting and click on the playback button. Then pick the speed level you desire. That is one of the best feature on UA-cam for students learning how to sign. You can even control the close caption to be present or not. Over time you will find you can speed it up and without caption and the next thing you know you are mastering it at everyday signers pace in our language. Never give up! You got this!
