He needs to be appreciated. I had a friend introduce me to Davids work and from the moment I started watching Inland Empire I knew I wasn’t just watching a movie but experiencing pure art. The quicker you let go the better, let your mind be taken for a ride and experience every moment. Fight off the urge to write everything off at a surface level glance because that will not lead to enlightenment. We might not have David for much longer so appreciate him and enjoy his work while he is still here.
@ crazy right? I spent the last week re-watching and studying all his work. I was in the middle of watching a video about Twin Peaks when the news hit. Also I got a blu-ray copy of EraserHead on the 15th, could’ve been the last copy bought while he was still here
@ amazing.... i don't have the purchasing power for physical copies so im watching by other means😉 i just watched lost highway and now im back on Twin Peaks (i stopped after S1 a year ago). If you also enjoy hearing from the man himself his 3 hour masterclass is free on here, idk for how long still, amongst a bunch more interviews. What a man he was. Enjoy your studies my friend
Leno: "I didn't understand it but I liked it"...."It has very sexy scenes" Lynch: "You like those scenes, dont you" yeah well it's about the hollywood casting couch...
@@NextExiteridk which video you're referring to, but saying that MD is about the casting couch must be the dullest, most reductionist reading of it possible.
@@Tretas. There's a very popular video essay on UA-cam making that argument, and it's very cleverly made. You can tell it it's propaganda when the host refers to the "horrors of the casting couch." War, genocide, dismemberment,... and the casting couch. Boy I hate all those horrors.
It’d be so meta if David randomly comes back with a repackaging of The Return or something and there’s a secret short film on the special features revealing David has been possessed by Judy the whole time, and the show itself is made to spread her “extreme negative force” across the world
@@michaelpalmer5351yea don't understand these comments. Lynch is there to promote a movie and Leno is there to sell it while putting on a show. No one is there to talk about gnosticism and transcendental meditation. They want to crack jokes and tell America to watch an interesting movie starring hot chicks.
I thought we weren't gonna talk about judy
I KNOW COOP
Rest in peace wild man 🤍

Judy's in America, and Judy's a friend
Merci, French friends of Mr. Lynch.
Confirmed, Judy was not at the hotel in Buenos Aires

Yeah I saw that stupid video, too. No, it's not about the casting couch. Most hysterical conservative clap-trap I've ever heard.

@@NextExiter ???? r*pe??
07:58 gave him the "bless your heart" 😅
Robert Engels sister in law is named Judy. He co wrote FWWM and said the name Judy was a shout out to her in "TV land."
What do you mean a shout out in TV land? English isn't my first language, could you please clarify?
Props to David, Leno is not leveling right with the conversation
I like Jay, and you can tell he appreciates David, but he was obnoxious here.
I feel bad for Lynch, you can tell he's dead nervous. Its gotta be hard to do interviews like those. Love the shoutout to Judy though.
A nightmare guest for jay
imagine if he'd said "we're not going to talk about Judy"
Hi Judy
We're not gonna talk about Judy. In fact, we're not gonna talk about Judy at all.
Here is where you'll find Juuuudee
💫
Jay is exasperating as usual.
BUT YOU'VE ALREADY MET . . . JU-DY.
it was unexpected at the end!
Judy's on the stove.
jay leno is such a clown
But he said Camilla! Nooooo that kinda ruins that twist, I don’t think he meant to say it.
I love it. So creepy
That’s a bad clip to show from the film.

For real. Can’t believe we never found out what she is
Who's the guy sitting next to David? Hank Azaria?

Mr Leno doesn't understand Lynch at all
Jay Leno is why I stopped watching The Tonight Show, he is no Johnny Carson, .. how did he hold his contract as long as he did
Leno was pretty funny. Judy is an open ended friend? Lool
God, Leno is so cringy...he is nowhere near the level of Lynch...he could have asked him so many great things
Agreed. I think Leno was being condescending here for the sake of cheap laughs
Leno's trying too hard to get laughs.
It's all right Jay
Exactly
its a talk show no shti
He was doing his job.

Leno is terrible.
He and David had a weird sort of chemistry though and I always enjoy them together, even though Leno makes ir weird.
It's Jodie. He's embarrassed for her in the travesty that TD is in 2024.
What's TD?
I fogot how annoying leno is 🤦🏽
