The greatest obstacle to illumination IS form. Your form. When you accept that you yourself are a construct of your history and of rote learning the path heads uphill.
You realise that you are a cypher, a proxy.
For example, if you'd been born in the forest, you might speak the Mboshi language and have a world view formed by knowing the forest and the animals and the stars above your head.
Are you merely the accident of your birth? (place time, education, language and social status)
The search for illumination is a destructive process of self - and a painful one.
No-one gets enlightened. Enlightenment is a disappearing act.
There is nobody there to be enlightened.
Meditate till your arse turns blue, if it pleases you. It will reduce stress and make you 'feel' all nice and mooshy.
      It wont get you anywhere.
If you can say that meditation occurs without thoughts ever arising, then you're probably a buddha already.
      Who claims this?
      Careful what you wish for.
UG Krishnamurti is helpful with this stuff.
      Peace.

You also wrote, "The minute you respect another human ideas , you are already lost the battle to be free. You are slave to someone else puke."

It might have something to do with progressive young Indians wanting to distance themselves from some of the more backwards Hindu rituals and practices, but in turn they are forgetting the universality and flexibility of the philosophy.

@@athenassigil5820 Indian Hindus are more in sync with the symbolic aspects of the religion like pujas and festivals. They don't enquire into the deep philosophy of the religion . For instance ,the Nataraja statue of Shiva encompasses almost all the ideas of Vedic philosophy . The God standing on a midget demon (evil) ,restraining him and hence keeping balance in the world . Lifting of one leg in a kicking motion that symbolises kicking off the scales of ignorance from the devotee's eyes. Ignorance being attachment and passions. There are so many other attached meanings too.
A judge of the Indian Supreme Court remarked that Hinduism was not a religion but a way of life and he received a lot of flak for it from the Liberal sections of society. But when Hinduism is practised in its essence ,it ceases to be a religion and truly is a way of life like the judge said. But most Indian Hindus don't do that.

Why would anyone Succumb to any other virtue but the expansion of self. I think you are out of touch with what you yourself are. Embrace what you believe and meditate on it. Children operate on a the different frequency level. They are on some God level and understand nature and life more intuitively. Hence "reality" & "imagination" merge and they are full of creativity. As we grow our need for control grows, therefor our ego gets more build up and we need to protect it. The more we feed it, the further away we get from truth. We get worldly and we get obsessed with shallowness.

Ever since I have started to meditate, my life has been changing so positive. When ever Richard said ,, they begin truly to expand with the amount of consciousness they have,, this is how I can remember my self, for me it was a wake up trigger, pain was the first, felt like the worst experience but 4 years later (now) I don't see it as a punishment, more like a wake up call from above and as I meditate more and more, I feel so much more in control of myself , I see everything much more intense , my thoughts are faster and clearer, my doubts are disappearing day for day and my good feeling energy is getting more consistent. I feel peace and now this video is popping up on my UA-cam page as the universe is giving me an answer because during a walk I asked myself as I was speaking to a higher power like God, Universe or what ever u call it, her , or him ,,what now?,,
    Thank you :)

I used TM to save my life. 11 years ago I had a nerve block procedure and something went wrong. All the discs in my upper back and neck were herniated and there was nerve root damage. Nerve root damage creates the kind of pain that kills, it's very rare. When the pain hit the pain was so severe and horrific I couldn't make a sound though I was screaming in my mind. I felt my heart beating out of my chest and my blood pressure beginning to balloon the veins in my brain. I remembered that for many years when I was at the Dr.s office I'd intentionally manipulate my blood pressure and heart rate tests. (It was fun to astound the Nurses and assistants performing the tests.) Remembering this, I immediately used the TM technique to bring down my heart rate and blood pressure. I was on the edge of death via heart attack or stroke until I used TM. The horrific pain was still there but using TM my heart rate and blood pressure were lowered and I didn't die. I thought I could get medical help to stop the pain. I was wrong.
Over these past 11 years I've stayed in the meditative state most of the time and have experienced many of the gifts of TM, far beyond the spiritual and physical enhancements everyone knows about. Though I'd had 30 plus years of practice, I would never have known there was so much more to TM without the physical challenge I've gone through.
TM needs to be taught to everyone! TM is a technique that brings a meditative state every time and practicing TM consistently ... makes life even better. As we know, it's benefits are profound. I believe if most people practiced TM,
we'd all be living in a more peaceful, compassionate and creative world. I'm so happy to hear that more and more people are learning and using TM.

Ok to provide some context here. All these Yugas(Periods of time) are a concept of Vedas (books of ancient Indian literature). These Vedas contained deep understanding of astronomy, medicine, health, way of life, mathematics, economics etc. You name it they had it.
It may sound nonsensical when he says the person lived for 100000 yrs. But as you research into this. The vedas mention a solution called 'Somras' in which it delayed oxidation in human body. Or changes the way a body processes energy. So that the person lived longer.
And all these Yugas as they describe it are the levels of corruption in humans. The materialistic hunger.
Earlier when the population of humans was less and food and resources were in abundance. They had bliss.
And now you can't really argue that only 25% or may be less people have bliss.

David describes perfectly, according to my experience, the process of transcendence. Merging with the source of life and being in service to that, is bliss. Suffering has been a great impetus for me. Each trauma provides an opportunity to surrender all resistance to ‘what is’ and respond wisely and appropriately - with a brain free of chatter and a heart wide open to acceptance. Regardless of the yuga, the opportunity to awaken from what has become second nature to us - so that we merge into our ‘first’ nature...our essential nature - is always available to us. When we are in right relationship to our body, our brain, our thinking and our feelings - we are no longer buffeted by the vagaries of the body, the fluctuations of the thoughts and feelings. When the brain is entrained, focused in the present moment, we have access to insight, intuition, wisdom, humour, spontaneity, creativity and compassion. That is bliss.

True, but meditation is free. Read Thich Nhat Hanh. "The instant you sit down to meditate, begin watching your breath. At first breathe normally, gradually letting your breathing slow down until it is quiet, even, and the lengths of the breaths are fairly long. From the moment you sit down to the moment your breathing has become deep and silent, be conscious of everything that is happening in yourself.
After about 10 to 20 minutes, your thoughts will have quieted down like a pond on which not even a ripple stirs.
Taking hold of your breath is itself mindfulness. Your breath is the wondrous method of taking hold of your consciousness. Our breath is the bridge from our body to our mind, the element which reconciles our body and mind and which makes possible oneness of body and mind."

I don't believe you need to join an organisation and pay loads of money to learn the most natural thing - how to meditate. Many real gurus can tell you the same thing, the ones that are not in it for the fame and fortune.

His other duality and subconscious films _Lost Highway_ and _INLAND EMPIRE_ are for me essential viewing adjacent to _Mulholland Dr_ as two other sides of an unofficial what I call his "identity films" trilogy, sharing similar themes, impressions, ideas, horrors. But truly any and every major work he has done may be meaningful and good to anyone who likes any of Lynch's pieces. They all come from the same Lynch and he is an auteur, so I recommend them all if you appreciated or enjoyed one.
I do not count Dune or The Elephant Man as the same category as the rest of his work, and as a caveat I would say if you are only familiar with one or two (Such as _Mulholland Dr_ or _Blue Velvet_ ) then I would not divulge _INLAND EMPIRE_ straight away. It is to me his magnum opus in my opinion, but it will be better received if one watches it after already being well-acquainted to his whole body of work, including _Rabbits_ and his shorts. IE is darker than _Mulholland Dr_ and not nearly as sleek and polished, but it is very similar in a number of ways.
But they are _all_ master works coming from a master auteur and great artist. I can appreciate each film and other works individually, and each film is unique, but _Mulholland Dr_ , despite it's reputation, is not fundamentally or radically different or better than the rest of his canon for fans of his work such as myself in my humble experience.

"The One power that illumines everything and every one is indivisible. It is the Ear behind the ears, Mind behind the mind, Speech behind speech, the Vital Life behind life. The ears cannot hear it; it is what makes the ears hear. The eyes cannot see it; it is what makes the eyes see. You cannot speak about it; it is what makes you speak. The mind cannot imagine it; it is what makes the mind think. It is different from what all we know; yet it is not known either. Those who feel they know Him, know Him not. Those who know that anything amenable to the senses is not Brahman, they know it best. When it is known as the innermost witness of all cognitions, whether sensation, perception or thought, then it is known. One who knows thus reaches immortality. - Kena Upanashad

I get tired of people saying David is crazy. He’s not crazy, he’s brilliant. But it’s those lacking in higher intelligence and without ample imagination that are unable to follow what he’s saying, or understand his artistic works, so they label it and write it off as “crazy”, because they don’t and can’t get it. Given, there is a fine line between genius and madness. And he walks that line like a tightrope: we gaze up in wonder and anxiety, anticipating the fall, wondering how he does it; while all he sees are the clouds and the space above him, walking a line only he can look down at, every step assuredly under control, never even a chance of falling. All the while having more width of information, expansive knowledge, consideration of wonder, conceptualized surrealism, unique originality, breadth of creativity, and artistic genius in his toe nail clippings than most people ever have in the entire lifetime of their mind. It’s not insanity at all. It’s genius. Something in rarer and rarer quantities these days, so to the untrained eye, it’s easy to miss. But don’t call him crazy. That’s for the idiots to do. 😂
