First thing I did ( I am still a mechanic after 55 years in the trade, ) the pump handle got a 4" bolt welded about 4-5" down the shaft for critical control of the valve ( oily hands don't have much grip!!!) I welded a bolt to the bolt at the bottom of the upright now the handle slip out or get lost around the workshop when the crane is moved, I also have a magnetic led light that I attach to the arm, ( can never have enough light!)
You will at some point Michael when I get around around to editing the video footage I have. It's actually a vapor hone machine I made and it has been an AMAZING tool to have. I took video of the entire project and hope to get it edited and published here some day. Thanks for stopping by!
I commented before seeing the reply below. I have a standard 220L cabinet but been very pleased with the upgrade kit from 'Parts Washer Upgrade' Company. No affiliation. I used a different cyclone bucket (25L blue tub with black lid and metal band, which I think seals better than the standard bucket and we don't really have these buckets). Anyway pleased and impressed with PWU's kit.
All good stuff. Looking to get a 2T engine hoist to pull the motor out of a tricky (really tricky) vehicle. Really like the 3d printed part and I've been looking at various anchor swivels for exactly the same reason, plus to lessen the height. As an aside I like the mods you've made to your blast cabinet. have done most of these, too!!
Thank you for the compliments! The 3D file for that knob is still over at Thingiverse so you should be able to get it and print one off. IMHO the swivel is a must, it makes everything so much easier. In regards to the cabinet... good eye!! You noticed that in the background. Quite frankly, I converted it to a vapor hone machine and it has been awesome!! They produce amazing results. I have had some serious hardcore restoration guys come over and use it and they can't believe it either. I did actually shoot video during my entire process of making the machine and I saved all my 3D files for it too.
