The amount of sass Cate breathed into Hela is so funny to watch, and I love how the writers took what was just supposed to be a small easter egg from Thor 1 and turned into a full-blown joke for this movie with the fake Infinity Gauntlet
Blanchett's delivery of "FAAAAKE!" is absolutely hysterical. The intonation and the fact that she says it so quickly after Skurge says his piece makes her sound like a YT comment.
I’m obsessed with Hela! LOVE LOVE LOVE her look, her demeanor and her outfit! So feminine and gorgeous yet so badass and villain-like! Her hair before wearing the thorny thingy is a bit unkempt and greasy (which I blame the costume director), but after the transformation it’s perfect. Exactly how one would picture a stunning Goddess of Death. She’s one hell of a villain! Cate Blanchet was such a fantastic choice for this role!!!
Despite Odin's previous tyranny, you have to admire his respect for his soldiers. When they die, they're buried under the Palace itself as heroes. That's probably the greatest way of honouring those that fought for you I've ever seen.
Can feel her pain in the voice when she saw her pet carcass (probably mummified).. shows she have capacity for love.. growing up killing and believing her father's aspiration of conquest, I guess that programs her in a way.. if odin can change I guess this lady could too.. but oh well guess she's dead now huh?
A little fun fact. Her "pet" was Fenrir, father of skol and hati who were the bringers of day and night. Fenrir was also loki's son in norse mythology. So lets say, Marvel followed the true timeline (which they didnt), Fenrir would be Hela's nephew. Matter of fact hela is based of of Hel the ruler of the dead in norse mythology, who is Loki's daughter, which technically makes fenrir her brother (older brother to be more precise)😂
@@lucaspoon4202 LMAO, a full Infinity Gauntlet is an "even match" for Hela? She would crumble to dust just from Thanos looking at her Hela on Asgard vs Base Thanos: Hela 10/10 Hela vs Base Thanos on neutral ground: Hela 6 or 7/10 Hela vs Thanos with any Stone, on Asgard or not: Thanos 10/10
Cate Blanchett absolutely slayed in this role. Perfect mix of whimsy and terrifying. I love that she acts like a kid showing off her Dad's gun collection to a friend in this scene.
Apparently the reason why Thanos never dared execute his plan earlier was because Odin was still alive and he probably feared the weapons Odin had in his possession remember Thanos knew about Nidavellir and the weapons it has produced over the years so it makes sense he wouldn’t dare risk going to war with Odin especially now we know he had this army in his fault just in case he would need to use them again but once Asguard was destroyed so was everything in Odin’s vault
I like to think Hela’s thought process on the Tesseract and the Eternal Flame is as such: “That’s not bad” She recognizes the power of an Infinity Stone, but the reason she seems to revere the Eternal Flame more is because it’s what she’s looking for, not the Tesseract.
0:23 The one other thing on Asgard she could have used to escape, instead of hunting for the sword. "That's not bad" Guess you made a, Hela of a mistake.
She wasnt there to escape, she was there to completely dominate absolutely everything. And she wanted her whole army, not just herself alone. Remember how they needed to build that machine in Avengers 1 to keep the space portal open and stable. The cube wouldnt be able to take her whole army just like that. She was very "thats nice compared to all the other junk, but i dont want that right now."
The tesseract really isn’t useful to Hela because she has the bi-frost to teleport wherever she wants, it also doubles as a death star so I think even if it was the power stone she might’ve not been interested since the bi-frost will work on any planet in the universe whilst you need to touch the power stone to a planet to destroy it.
@@bestkill6888 read the comment again, he said "even if it was the power stone", implying that if the power stone was there instead of the tesseract, she still wouldn't have been interested.
@@max21567 eh i mean i feel like the power stone is pretty redundant when the reality stone is a thing, since you could use the reality stone to warp reality in whatever way you need to do whatever youd do with the power stone, just in a slightly different way. wanna kill someone with the power stone? just use the reality stone to wipe them from existance. want a planet destroyed? same thing, wipe it from existance. the only thing i can see the power stone doing that the reality stone might not be able to do is making the wielder phyiscally stronger, although its not entirely out of the question that the reality stone could do that too, although in that case it might be an active thing they have to make a mental note of doing at all times, rather than a passive ability like it is with the power stone, so admittedly the power stone would be useful for that. otherwise it seems a bit pointless going after the power stone if youve already got the reality stone, except maybe to prevent someone else getting it.
She says the tesseract " not bad" because of few reasons. First she is so focus at the eternal flame she take for granted at other things. Second most of his plan and power is by staying in Asgard, thor even say she got stronger the longer she stay there, so without a plan to travel anywhere the tesseract is irrelevent to her. Lastly asgard has its own mode of transportation, the rainbow bridge. So without the other infinity stones or she might didnt have the knowledge of combining all the stones or the whereabout of other stones than the tesseract is just like the rainbow bridge added with unstability if you wrongly use like it punishing the red skull before.
I just don't think she needed it. Her goal at the moment was to recapture Asgard so it's not like the stone would've given her any additional power. She's not teleporting anywhere so it's not like she really needs it at this moment.
Hela. Her skills and strength are amazing. Why didn't the MCU bring her back to the screen? She's definitely a great villain in phase 4. Unfortunately I only saw this in thor 3

She says the tesseract is not that bad when its more powerful than the eternal flame.
Not really (in her context)
I think she just knows how to handle the Eternal Flame in a way that it's more powerful than the infinity stones. She's like a hundred thousands years old so she must know a lot of things.
Well that eternal flame was the thing that was what made her invincible and the only way she would be defeated was with prophecy
@@ricky9465 It was just an expression.
Hela has no actual use for the Tessaract, but the Eternal Flame? Now that is something she can put to use.
She might not even have known there is an Infinity Stone trapped inside, or maybe she had no way of extracting it. Thanos needed the Power Stone to break the Tesseract - I think.

The eternal flame is fueled by Odin's farts after eating cabbage for an entire millennium.
Cate Blanchett was absolutely _perfect_ for this role, I was excited to see her when they first introduce the character.

Nooo i don't think so. Loki will do something about it tho😉

The one other thing on Asgard she could have used to escape, instead of hunting for the sword.
Hela draws her power from Asgard, so if asgard dies she does too.
It’s 0:24
The tesseract really isn’t useful to Hela because she has the bi-frost to teleport wherever she wants, it also doubles as a death star so I think even if it was the power stone she might’ve not been interested since the bi-frost will work on any planet in the universe whilst you need to touch the power stone to a planet to destroy it.
Wtf lmao. The Tesseract holds the Space Stone, not the Power Stone.🤡😭🤦♂️
@@bestkill6888 read the comment again, he said "even if it was the power stone", implying that if the power stone was there instead of the tesseract, she still wouldn't have been interested.
the power stone is broken imao
@@max21567 eh i mean i feel like the power stone is pretty redundant when the reality stone is a thing, since you could use the reality stone to warp reality in whatever way you need to do whatever youd do with the power stone, just in a slightly different way. wanna kill someone with the power stone? just use the reality stone to wipe them from existance. want a planet destroyed? same thing, wipe it from existance.
the only thing i can see the power stone doing that the reality stone might not be able to do is making the wielder phyiscally stronger, although its not entirely out of the question that the reality stone could do that too, although in that case it might be an active thing they have to make a mental note of doing at all times, rather than a passive ability like it is with the power stone, so admittedly the power stone would be useful for that. otherwise it seems a bit pointless going after the power stone if youve already got the reality stone, except maybe to prevent someone else getting it.
she rocked it in this role, Hela
Loki used the Tesseract to escape in endgame.. I'm sure Hela knows how to use it.
*Most of **_*his_* plan and power staying on Asgard" so u saying Hela is a guy?
I just don't think she needed it. Her goal at the moment was to recapture Asgard so it's not like the stone would've given her any additional power. She's not teleporting anywhere so it's not like she really needs it at this moment.
