I’m back with another fun fact lol: Tyler showed Kendrick some of the stuff he had for Igor before it came out and Kendrick told him he loved his singing because it was “perfect”, but it was “emotional”. That motivated Tyler to sing and led to him making the song running out of time. It reminds me of when Kanye said Michael Jackson “put the battery in his back” to make 808s and Heartbreak after MJ told him he liked his singing.
thats dead sweet if true
@@verraguidit is true
Tyler and Frank Ocean are actually close friends and have been for quite a while
Just friends? 😂
@@LeythLegacy 😂👀
Fun fact: the last note at the end of "ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?" is the exact same as the one at the start of "IGOR's THEME", essentially making this album a loop, as if this cycle of love and heartbreak continues forever. great reactions guys keep up the amazing vids!!
Great comment 👍❤️😛
Tyler and Frank actually practically started together. They were part of a clique called odd future with other artists like Earl Sweatshirt (who was on channel orange)
You guys should definetly do Flower Boy(2017) and CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST(2021) by him. IGOR was 2019. His Last 3 Album run is insane.
W pfp
I’d be ilegal to forget flower boy, and a underrated favorite of mine cherry bomb
WOLF is his best album
Tyler is a great rapper, but more importantly he is a great composer, songwriter, and pianist. He plays the keys on all of his albums.
And like people said, Tyler and Frank are basically like brothers.
Flower Boy is a must!!!!
12:13 Him and Frank Ocean where in the hiphop group Odd Future together in their teens/early 20s.
Cool … ye there’s a lot of comments about that group 👍 interesting 🤔 thanks mate
@@TwistTheScript Odd future also included Sydney Bennett (Syd). She went on to form the band The Internet. I believe you'd love them. Her band also included guitarist Steve Lacy who now makes his own music, similar to Frank Ocean and Tyler in a way but still very much in his own lane.
love tyler and this album. know you mentioned about possibly going through his discography from the start but i think id recommend touching his newer stuff first before going backwards just because of the drastic difference in sound. 'call me if you get lost', 'flower boy' and maybe even 'cherry bomb' are good places to go to next i reckon
Will take those comments onboard 👍❤️😉
I’m a Tyler fanatic basically and I love that y’all appreciate this album !! I recommend the next Tyler album should be Flower Boy because that’s when ppl started seeing the evolution and progression heavily in Tyler the creator. Also Tyler has been releasing music since 2009 and he founded the collective hip hop supergroup called Odd Future (consisting of artists: Tyler, Frank Ocean, Earl sweatshirt, The internet) makes HUGE SENSE why you compare it to Frank in a way !!
Wow 🤩 great insight 👍 thanks for this info 👍❤️
Also it’d be cool to see y’all react to Tyler’s discography in this order,
Flower Boy
Wolf
Cherry Bomb
Call me if you get lost
Last but not least Goblin (FYI the goblin album in 2011 got Tyler Banned from the UK and Australia due to controversy vulgar lyrics and subject matter)
To sum up the story of the album, tyler was falling in love with this dude but that guy was in a relationship with a girl, so he goes from falling in love, to wanting to basically homewreck their relationship, to very painfully trying to get over the whole thing, until the very end when he asks if they can still be friends, basically making the whole situation an endless loop
GONE GONE, THANK YOU is my fav by far, a huge rollercoaster
Your dad is AMAZING at analysing these tracks! You can tell he knows his shit. Great vid, most definitely subscribed.
Thanks Man. He is going to get a big head when he see’s this comment tomorrow 😂🤣😂🤣
Cheers mate 😉
@@TwistTheScript Haha of course! Also, I know there are tons of comments talking about what Tyler album you guys should listen to next, and most of them say either Call Me If You Get Lost or Flower Boy, which I completely agree with. I personally say Flower Boy would be an interesting next listen.
Tyler is an artist that only gets better the more you know about his personal life and how his music and persona developed throughout his albums. If you are truly interested, I highly recommend you learn more about him. Truly a generational talent and figure overall with lots of great stuff to say about music and the industry.
Sorry for the long message, looking forward to more content!
He’s a complete musician he’s produced, arranged, composed, and wrote all of his songs in his catalog except 3 of them incredible artist even though he’s a wild person he is very serious about music and is just one of the best artists around today
Happy Birthday Tyler! 🎉🌼
His live perfomances are crazy
Tyler was definitely a bit reckless back in the day with his interviews but his growth has been a pleasure to see.
I love this album so much. You should do flower boy next
Great reaction from you guys per usual! I don’t know if any of you got i afterwards but the feature on puppet on the second verse was actually Kanye which surprised me personally, just wanted you guys to know!
Really 🤔 wow that’s cool 👌 thanks for the info ❤️
Oh and i almost forgot, Today is his birthday. He turned 33rd
No Way. The timing on that 😜
Really … wow cool timing on us 👍😀😂
Yeah😁
Damn unc
Glad yall are reacting to this one. Cheers!🎉
the father of the "off beat" timing drums and samples is j dilla you should listen to his album donuts its just instrumentals. he has inspired so many people in hip hop like kanye and tyler and even outside of the genre
Funny enough ye producing on donuts giving him some of his best music ever
Just found this gem of a channel. Cant wait to see more of your reactions
Love your reaction and I hope to see more Tyler in the future! :)
this channel and the consistency is perfect!!! you guys should do flower boy or call me if you get lost from tyler soon
You guys are doing all the albums ive been wanting
Flower boy is a good Tyler album and Frank Ocean is in it
Oh great 👍 we defo be all over that one in future for sure 👍❤️
Havent watched the vid yet but so hype for this one! Keep it up guys youre awesome!
Thank you 😉
Love the reactions as always!
Can’t wait for this one lads! keep em coming ❤
What a wonderful reaction. So happy u guys appreciate Tyler's art just as much as I do :)
Thanks Mark. Top comment. Appreciated mate 👍
you should 100% to react to his “flower boy” album, a lot more jazzy and it discusses his sexuality more. also daniel caesar is so great !!!
I love channels that listen to comments
Love your channel! Keep it up!
Yesssss been waiting for this reaction! There are loads of hidden features all over the album! Puppet has Kanye. Earfquake has Playboi Carti. Lil Uzi Vert is on the first track. There are way more hidden features. Would love for y’all to listen to more Tyler, Creator!
I hope the two of you will react to "Flower Boy" and "Call Me If You Get Lost" soon in the future
AAAAAAAA I LOVE YOU GUYS AND THIS ALBUM I CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS VIDEO SO I HAVE TO COMMENT AAAAAAAAAA
😂🤣😂🤣 Feel free to comment anytime you want 👍👍👍
Just finished watching the video! You guys definitely should check out Flower Boy or Call Me If You Get Lost or, I'll probably be the only one to suggest this but "tyler the creator is probably the most iconic person to be alive pt. 1" its a 10 minute video of just Tyler being iconic/funny/stupid, it really gets you seeing how quirky and insane he really is. Video was amazing and it definitely was not the last time I was watching it! Much love from Québec, Canada@@TwistTheScript
Tyler broke the idea of traditional chord progressions and music theory he understands it and doesn’t care 😂🤞🏾
Great channel guys
We need Late Registration ❤
Man On The Moon 1 by Kid Cudi is a great album too.
LR next week hopefully 👍
Another brilliant reaction lads 💪🔥
Cheers mate 👍❤️
great reaction and great album mates
Another banger album lets gooooo
tyler is bi, the lyrics on this album are kind of purposely vague so the listener can connect their own experiences to it, but it does have a story. the story is about igor (tyler) falling in love with another bisexual man, but this man is down low and also has a girlfriend, so igor falls in love and gets heartbroken because the man chooses the woman over him. in a boy is a gun, tyler says “you’re my favorite garçon” which is french for boy, making it clear he’s talking about another man. the story loops as he falls in love, gets heart broken, then wants to stay friends, before inevitably falling in love again
Thanks for your insight 👍
"Thank you for the love, thank you for the joy, but I don't ever wanna fall in love again" :(
YEEESSS Tyler is goated. Next time you listen you should do Call Me If You Get Lost
Hey! Loved the video! Can you guys listen to his album Wolf? It’s definitely one of my favorites
Yeah we will put it on the list. Be good to do more Tyler. Kanye - Late Registration next 👍
Try Ego Death by The Internet! I think you guys would enjoy it
You guys need to do Flower Boy next!
Would love to see you guys do “22, a million” by Bon Iver. Justin Vernon is up there with Frank Ocean in my opinion. Different vibe but equally as creative and untied to any genre. Think you’d really like it!!
You HAVE to do Flower Boy soon
Amazing reaction and album. Happy birthday to the GOAT too!
This album has hidden features all over
Here's a few that i can name
IGOR'S THEME - Lil Uzi Vert
EARFQUAKE - Playboi Carti
PUPPET - Kanye West
ARE WE STILL FRIENDS? - Pharrell Williams
Charlie Wilson is also on almost all the songs
great choice for reaction
you should definitely listen to flower boy, it's a wonderful album
Defo will be doing a reaction to that one … in the future … lots of people out there are mentioning it 👍❤️
tyler's whole discography is a masterpiece
Cool mate … looking forward to hearing n reacting to more for defo 👍
@@TwistTheScriptwell his musical progression is certainly amazing. His older music is vastly different to IGOR.
i agree with everyon saying flower boy or call me if you get lost next. i'd def recommend flower boy next!
W reaction and great job to the editor, always cuts the music at the right time
Great Photo for your profile. In Rainbows. In my top 5 of all time. Thanks. I do try and think about when to cut and edit. Appreciated 👍
@@TwistTheScript legend 🤙🏻
You guys should check out The Weeknd’s Dawn FM album! Or even better his After Hours Album! Glad you guys enjoyed Tyler’s album!
*I would definitely suggest Flower Boy next bc it's closer to Igor.
*Call Me If You Get Lost to see his true rapping ability and get used to it.
*Last go back to his first projects so you can see the drastic difference and growth as a human.
Probably wont be as heavily requested but i feel like dad would love The Internet (band formed by Odd Future member Syd)
Love the run of albums mates. Hope we get some Deftones on the channel. Incredible catalog but White Pony is a masterpiece.
Matter of fact my son keeps asking us to do Deftones aswell. Defo get round to it mate. 💯
no doubt in my mind you'd both love Flower Boy too (+ fun fact that was Kanye featured on PUPPET) - as for CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST that's more rap-orientated & equally as great, bit longer than both those too
Frank ocean and Steve lacy and Tyler were all in a group called ODD FUTURE
All of Tyler’s albums sound completely different, especially with the first 3 albums, Bastard, Goblin, Wolf. I love Tyler’s more recent sound but I think you guys should experience at least one of tyler old albums which had absolutely no filter and contains some of the craziest lyrics you’ll hear. If you guys are gonna listen to one of his older albums you should probably listen to Wolf because it has elements of Tyler’s recent sound but it’s still edgy and unforgiving with its lyrics. If you guys want to listen to some of the harshest themes and lyrics in music then listen to Goblin or Bastard. Also great reactions guys, I’m loving the videos.
Great insight 👍 will defo take your suggestions onboard 👍❤️
Rodeo - Travis Scott, is a must! 🙏
Not a Tyler fan but glad you covered one of his albums because they are pretty "out there" stylistically speaking
Should definitely do 'Call Me If You Get Lost' next!!
Aim to do them all eventually … really looking forward to more in future 👍❤️
great reaction guys!!! i'm happy you caught on to the themes of igor/tyler's sexuality halfway through despite not having any prior context; tons of reactors tend to not pick up on it at all on first listen, even with knowledge of tyler in the first place. kudos!
(there's also a bonus track included on the vinyl called BOYFRIEND, it's beautiful and you can listen to it on youtube. it fits right before the spoken interlude :))
Thanks for your comments 👍❤️ someone else mentioned that track 🤔 will look into that 👍 cheers mate
It would be really cool if you did some additional thoughts videos about the albums you listened to during the week if you have time or extra energy to do it. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on albums after you have had a bit of time with Them. Maybe a bit much to ask for right now but if you go and make it Big it would really cool. Great video as always❤
Possibly somewhere down the line … 👍❤️ thanks for your insight 👍
Should’ve started with Flower Boy!!!
Looking forward to that one for sure 👌👍
YESSSS
put 1999 by Joey Badass on the list of albums to eventually get through. It’s an absolutely crazy album especially bc he released when he was 17!
y'all NEED to listen to D'Angelo's Voodoo, you will not regret it I promise you
Defo look into this 👍❤️
If you're looking for new artists, 454's Fast Trax 3 is an underground gem that is mostly self produced.
FULLY PRODUCED BY TYLER:)
You guys should dive into this album called Madvillainy by MF DOOM, the sounds, production, wordplay is very unique and interesting, it’s very worth looking into imo
Will do. MF Doom I have heard of them aswell.
And one more Recommendation: If u guys are seeking for some Expiremental Rap Stuff check 'Atrocity Exhibition' by Danny Brown. It's a really good album both Writing and Production wisely. It Came Out in 2016
You guys should listen to Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu I think it's an album you'd both enjoy
Y'all should definitely tap into Teezo Touchdown's debut alt record, Tyler co-signed him early on for good reason🔥
Love the videos I really hope you see this and I hope you know that if you haven’t heard it but Call Me If You Get Lost by Tyler the Creator “The Estate Sale” album is a must listen as well so you can see where Tyler is at with his music. I think you would appreciate a lot of the music. Love the videos
We are here 😂 Thanks for your suggestions 👍❤️ we defo be doing more if not all TTC Discography in the future for sure 👌
should have a look at his old music his journey in music is incredible for example he got banned from England and new Zealand cuz of his lyrics
Wow 😮 interesting 👍 cheers
I would recommend you Rodeo By Travis Scott!
Fun fact: When you get into Tyler's albums, every tenth song is always a multiple song track kind of like a bonus song in the album. The only album that doesn't follow this trend is his first album Goblin
flowerboy or call me if you get lost, next 🙏
His earliest albums have the bad language you were mentioning, but it's intentional as they're all connected and tell the story of a troubled young man with each album representing different sessions with a therapist. His music has been very different from album to album, and his last 3 are probably his best although they all offer something different, so it depends what you're looking for.
Thanks for your info 👍 interesting 🤔
Loved it! PLEASE react to 1999 by Joey Bada$$ it's a masterpiece of hip hop released when he was just 17
If you like frank Ocean you will like Steve Lacy. He is part of a band named the internet, that worked with frank Ocean and tyler the creator. They where all in a group named odd future there is way more members too.
Thanks for your insight 👍 will look into this 😉
if you guys haven’t heard skin by flume that would be a great listen it’s a grand album
No not heard that … will check it out 👍 thanks 😉
Would love to see a Lil Yachty Let's start here reaction, will blow you away. Keep up the great content fellas
Keep watching 😳😳😳😳👍❤️
If your planning on going through his discography from the start just a warning that his early music was very based on shock value so despite it sounding great some of the lyrics are a bit... politically incorrect, still great tho. Looking forward for your reactions to wolf and flowerboy
Please react to The Forever Story by JID and The New Abnormal by The Strokes.
Please react to Tyler the creator- flower boy
awesome, will you guys be reacting to lil yachty lets start here? I really think you guys would LOVE that album!
The plan is to record that album tomorrow. Try and get it out for weekend 👍
24:40 thats actually kanye singing lol
You should definitely listen to Flower Boy. It's different from Igor, but even better (IMO).
On our list 💯
45:15 well actually your thoughts will not be aged well as soon as you hear his first couple of albums☠️
listen to lets start here pls
I would highly recommend Tory Lanez - Alone at prom deluxe
Interesting … will defo look into this .. not familiar 🤔 👍 thanks
@@TwistTheScriptno worries! Another great reaction 😊 i should mention that the album is made around 80s sounds it’s a 10/10 album imo 👌
I reccomend you guys listen to “Luv 4 Rent” by Smino. It dropped in the past 2 years and was a beautiful experience
Thanks 👍 will look into that one 🤔👍❤️
@@TwistTheScript Smino is actually related to Kendrick Lamar
