My teachers in art school always tried to teach me how important the overall shapes and composition are & I never got it and always lost myself in tiny details. But when I discovered your art, I fell in love with overall shapes and abstract shapes because your art spoke to me on a whole different level❤ Thank you so much for this! - a German art girl
I was so happy to see this video in my subscriptions box and once again it did not disappoint. Immaculate vibes, beautiful art and the way you present each video makes me feel so calm and motivated all at once… Love your channel so much!
So happy to see another video. I always enjoy watching you work, seeing snippets of where you live, your travels and listening to your commentary. I had to share about "baby puke green". I call it baby "poo" green. My living room walls are a slightly more muddy gold version of that color and it's fabulous with the 1970s gold and green striped velvet couch, the dark wood Spanish style furniture and the rust and honey colored accents. I'm guessing it's going to be the next "on trend" color. Looking forward to your next video.
10:20 ripped the seams of my belly laughing. It's truly a marvel how even the best artists have imposter syndrome. That painting wasn't done yet and I was liking where it was going. Your cars are truly well- illustrated. I especially love to see your thought-process in your drawings. Your oft hilarious commentaries are illustrations in themselves; I will not be surprised if your decided to write a book yourself (I imagine with your illustrations as well). Your book reviews are a gem. I have long given up watching your videos as backgrounds and immediately look forward to your next as soon as your last ends. Thank you.
I’m so glad you appreciate my humor 😹 Thanks so much, I really enjoy when other artists talk abt what they’re reading too. One day I’d truly love to work on a graphic novel! I’ll try to keep the videos coming ;~)
I’m a freshman illustrator + graphic design student. I absolutely love your art!! I come back to watch/binge-watch your vlogs as my inspiration + motivation to keep going in art classes and having a bigger spark to be excited in art classes. I’m so happy to see a new video from you on my notifications! Sending lots of love!!❤
This video was a joy! Really admire your overall style,: your art, your home, and your narrations! Only recently found your channel and the atmosphere you create with your videos is amazing! Very inspiring
Your cat jumping on you is such a mood 😂 My cat weighs about 6.6 kg (about 14 pounds?) and I can 100% relate to the noise you made ahaha I just found your channel, and I really enjoyed your video and your art! The way you captured figure/movement with such simple lines is so intriguing.
Thank you so much, I'm glad you found my channel! Hahaha, 14 lbs must be quiteee the surprise to be jumped on by :') It doesn't help that I typically cover myself with a blanket when recording voice overs (to muffle the environmental noise) which must enticing to pounce...
Its so relaxing watching you draw and seeing all the shapes and colours come together, so satisfying and inspirational. You definitely make me want to start drawing again!
I totally sympathize with your car dilemma, and admire the active practice (I find that's the hardest part). Your car studies are so wonderful and the perfect amount of wonky :) Love your work!
I really loved this video. Seeing your work an process is very inspiring and really makes me want to explore my own art drawing. (Also that baby puke green is also one of my favourite colours!) :-)
You’re very brave for allowing the pencil shavings right on your working space, I wouldn’t be able to stand the mess and I would worry that I might sneeze and spread them all around.
I'm hoping this "art summer camp" idea catches on here in the UA-cam art world. This was the most laid-back art video I've seen in a while. If I see one more thumbnail of a video promising to help me "level-up my art game"...!! btw, toward the end, I noticed that with all this experimenting you were doing, there was not a single scratch-out. It kind of looks like you draw with intention every time you make a line, or am I missing something?
That would be pretty sweet if it did! Hahaha the only thing we’re here to level up on is protein intake 😤 I definitelyyy erased multiple times during the cars sketches. With the others I’ve messed up so often in the past that maybe I’ve gotten better at avoiding/covering up mistakes?

Haha sometimes it’s like that and you realize just why all those seemingly boring topics are actually very interesting!! Thanks for watching ❤️

I miss your videos, hope you are well and enjoying the summer heat before fall comes along. Cheers!
thanks so much! Hoping to upload more this fall :)
I also stow canvases below my couch and behind my mirror! Love the idea of an art summer camp - I will try it for winter :)
It's a total space saver! I'm excited for you to try it! :~)

@@kesalt take your time. We long for them, but we understand the kind of work it takes. It's evident. A graphic novel would be fitting!
Love your last sketch! Such a cool experience this little summer art camp
Thanks for going to camp with me! ;-)

Aw thanks so much!! Sometimes you just gotta get in behind the pencil 😮💨
Loved this! Your art is so stunning!

I missed your videos! I am really happy with the new video😺
Aw thanks for being patient! I had a lot of client work that got in the way of editing this summer :’)
That's a great reason! :) I love your art, and your videos are really inspiring and motivate me to enhance my drawing skills 🤓thank you!
This is sooo relaxing
Thanks so much! :~)
You’re very brave for allowing the pencil shavings right on your working space, I wouldn’t be able to stand the mess and I would worry that I might sneeze and spread them all around.
Haha I feel you, though luckily they don’t get in my way!
Loved it!!!! Send hi to Sumi!
Thank you!! I will let Sumi know you said hi!
Are you using oils or acrylics? I really enjoyed watching you mix the colours - adding the yellow ochre to that pink tone was gorgeous!
Oh thank you!! Acrylics! I love oils but the cleanup is too much for me heheh

@@acesarato omgosh congrats!! 💐
Omg these funny voice hahaha Your videos are great and very good quality hope your channel grows faster from this day on
Haha I'm so glad at least one person appreciates my dumb jokes!! Thank you for watching
What pencil are you using for drawing? I love the intensity but maybe is just the way you push it on the paper🤩
I was using a Blacking pencil! I tend to press very hard, but their leads have a great feel :~)
My condo is 424 square feet. I love small spaces.
Haha me too! And less to clean!
