Another excellent video Adam, Very informative, and came right on time before I purchase a GPU for UE5. Keep up the good work Sir.

Hey Thanks. Appreciate you as well. I'm working with jetson nanos and 3060 cards right now. Learning what I can that make sense within my current space ( commercial video analytics ) . Always looking for new opportunities and implementation with this technology. Best.

What is fps a6000 versus rtx3080 or 4090? I betting allot due to crippling the open GL non quadro.

As a new mechanical engineering student, do i really need the workstation gpu? I feel like thats kind of out of budget for my laptop. Would an rtx 4060 do? and will it be good enough to last 4 years

Is it A4000 or A5000 available on the market? Or they release only A6000 and other models coming soon? Do you know something about it, because it is literally no information about where you can buy them and when.

I asked to be put on a wait list at B&H for the A5000 - they notified me last week they had come in; and, I've ordered one.

New sub here. Curious what you are doing with a developer card? What are your use cases?

Looking at your videos it looks like autonomous driving is the use case. Is this your field of expertise?

Can you comment on OpenGL pipelines how they are crippled on non Quadro? Hence why swx sucks for Geforce cards it used to be x5 better performance.

@Adam Wayne Hughes So sorry if it came across as harsh. but I have had this conversation for many years and believe Nvidia is ripping off it customers with these workstation GPU. yes they have a place in the market but the price is way to high to justify the performance. the A6000 is basically a RTX3090 with 24GB more Ram and how can the price be $3000USD higher for just 25gb. It has the same VRM but with two more phases and the same components.
Case in point. Nvidia forced all of the AIB partners to stop making the blower style RTX gpu as they know the consumers would purchase these over the workstation/server GPU. I also make systems with multiple GPUs and this is a huge problem fitting in the three fan RTX cards in a system. I can buy three RTX3090 for less than the price on one a6000 and get better performance.

There is a couple of things you have to consider, and Im not disagreeing with you at all, merely offering another point of view. With my workstation gpus i can run solidworks and other applications pertaining to that program (20-30 pieces of software) and not have a crash for an entire year. This is something that cannot be said for these types of software with gaming gpu's. you are almost guaranteed a crash. These crashes lead to lost work and lost time, so whats the time worth to you? Companies like disney and jpl say its worth it to buy the workstation cards to avoid this time and money loss on the resources end for the upfont dollars on the gpu. To those types of folks its not overpriced cause thier time lines/ deadlines and personnel are much more costly if wasted. it can be hard to translate those savings as 1 to 1 but in principle there is rational to that. So is the infrequent crash no bid deal or is it a deal braker.
Also, Ecc vRAm is a very nice upgrade (doesnt justify the price) but helps programs that work their files directly off ram, especially large files.

I went in to channel dashboard and tried to look for your other comment, there is nothing held for review. I have my comments settings set to strict (no links) as i have young family members that follow me and I don't want any of this spam porn sites showing up in comments. Hope you understand. I have comments that are pretty mean in other videos and don't delete those or hide them, you have to know I don't discriminate on comments, I want everyone's feedback good or bad. I want to be better so I want to know. There is only so much negativity i can take but i still leave them up there, i read the constructive negative comments and shrug of the just plain mean ones, ya know?

Woulx you be interested in doing a nerd out session on zoom as a coop and take about these sorts of things it could. Be fun, like a podcast sort of approach.

@@AdamWayneHughes I was totally thinking the same thing, to do a colab video. RTX vs A6000 in benchmark tests and I have one really heavy Disney test scene in C4D you can try.

@@AdamWayneHughes I understand. One comment i made and stand by is 'educate your viewers and let then make an informed decision" . Offering your opinion is great but you need to add test data and proof. Talk about the pro and cons. I still do not agree with you on the stability of RTX cards. And you left out that they offer studio drivers for the RTX cards, in your nvidia driver download section of your video.
I run a channel as well. "Mediaman Studio review". Have a look

A6000 gpu is 6000 dollar my dude. You can buy a 3090 for like 1200 dollar which is already faster for Gaming than A6000 or you could just buy a 4090 for 1800 dollar, which is not only gonna absolutely destroy the A6000 in Gaming especially with dlss 3 for the 4090, but the 4090 is also gonna destroy the 3090 even without dlss and rt
