The kit has the correct parts for an A-4, however the boxtop art shows the thin chord VDM propellor blades instead of the broad chord VS11's. More noticeable however is that A-1 wingtips are illustrated...not the longer version that were introduced on the A-4 and earlier A-5.

I'm currently reading a book about Operation Pedestal in WW2 (a vital convoy to Malta) which was repeatedly attacked by JU-88 torpedo bombers, among other things so would be interesting to build one of those particular aircraft.

I understand the will of ICM to squeeze all the profit from existing old kits and sets but...
Is it so hard to make and release Ju-88R-1/R-2 to extend Ju-88C heavy/night fighter series?
Differences are in BMW-801C engines instead of JuMo-211J and slightly different nose cap due to another weapons layout.
What about the earlies Ju-88C versions C-1/C-2/C-3/C-4?
Differences are in shorter wing consoles and nose caps only (early JuMo-211C are already present in existing kits like Ju-88A-5).
    Heh, dreams, dreams...

I think it is not hard, but there are certain circumstances which do not help with developing smth new. :/

@@dsv This is not something new first of all.
Second is they do a lot of completely new stuff despite the war. Ju-88 kit has been released more than 6 years ago, when there was no war...

@@gadeeshi this “new” stuff was prepared long time ago, and truly new projects are still in process.

Nice kit, but too bad, there is no riveting detail.

That is true, but I guess it was done deliberately because some modelers choose such appearance. :)
