I have an extremely specific memory of this song, the year was 2007, I was 8 years old, and my mom had just picked me up from school on a super rainy day, she had this playing on the cd in the car, and we were headed to the mall , I get a little emotional, it's such a calm and sweet memory 💙

I have some very fond, emotional memories of my own, when two specific George Michael songs came on the radio during my "tween" years during the late 80's and early 90's. Looking back, George Michael was the soundtrack of my formative years, and I came to judge all other music against the impeccable standards he set. I find it so touching that others look back on magical experiences of their own, with George Michael's songs providing the backdrop. His music changed the lives of so many, across multiple generations. Thank you for sharing!

I’ll never forget when he died, my dad was very upset as if a part of his teenage years had along with George. I got into his music after that and never looked back. What an artist
This was so ahead of it's time! I remember watching this video in 2006 when I was 20 and pregnant with my now 17 yr old daughter! I was so scared and uncertain of my life then, and George had always been a voice of calm to me even as a young child, and watching and listening now in 2023.....just blows my mind! He was amazing and his music always brings a smile to my face, and now a tear to my eyes. We can only wonder what he would've been coming up with now. But thank God we have what he left us. 🙏🏻❤

The press had a huge downer on George and Andrew in their Wham! days cos they wouldn't play the press's game - which is how come there are all the horrible stories about Andrew being a hanger on, etc, and when it became obvious to the moronic journalists that George was the best songwriter ever they were really grudging about it as they couldn't bear to admit they'd been wrong. It's very bad that one group of talentless idiots could have such power. That's at least one good thing about social media, that we can hear the truth about people.

I was born in 1990. The Older album marked my childhood.
I'll never thank enough my mother, she introduced me to George's music. After his death, my mother passed away three years later.

The moment I heard "Amazing" all that I could think of was in which song I had heard the "dadadadada" thing before....
....but of course if you are a hard core George Michael fan of course it will be impossible to convince you - especially since you have probably never heard the David Bowie song before.

Потом после 90-х я потеряла Джорджа Майкла, только его скандалы сообщали и иногда показывали некоторые видео,где он доказывал,что он ещё классный артист.Да и у меня была жизнь тогда бурной,что не очень до музыки было...
Потом меня его смерть шокировала и я опять вернулась слушать Джорджа Майкла.Многих его песен даже я и не знала,которые для меня сейчас любимые.

There have only been two celebrity death that have gutter me, he is the second. The first was River Phoenix. I was in highschol when he Od. Georges death however has affected more. I can't explain it. I never met him, but its like he knew me with the songs he wrote, and the profound sadness he never seemed to escape.

December 25, 2016...I was in San Francisco for the holiday and awoke to a text from one of my best friends telling me that George Michael had died. I felt a chill from within myself, but couldn’t stay in bed. I sat by the window, and as I peered out at the gloominess of the San Francisco Bay morning, I thought of how his music had been such a distinct aspect in my life. His music was there whenever times were happy and light as well as dark and lonely. I said a quiet thank you for all he gave of his life, and I wished him peace. I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but when people ask which celebrity death hit me the hardest, it was George Michael hands down.
i was down on my luck in 2007 and this song literally changed my life *at the time* . George, you were TRULY amazing. Thank you.
