I used to work security and had a ton of real life exposure to strippers/escorts. I never met one girl that had positive mental health or a positive lifestyle. NOT A SINGLE ONE. They all had substance abuse problems, very toxic relationships, and destructive self imagine and complete lack of self esteem. Some girls were making $10,000-$15,000 a day, living in luxury apartments, driving luxury vehicles, and spending lavishly. Yet were some of the most depressed people I’ve known. I know this is anecdotal, but I don’t care. The sex industry is simply evil. Everyone involved degrades themselves, both the simp men and the “empowered” women. I agree with the conclusion of don’t interact and feed this monster.

I've used escort services a few times, but every single time I have noticed exactly that. Every single girl always had the saddest, most dead eyes i ever did see, it actually made me realize just how not worth it those services are. I simply use other outlets for that kind of urges now, like painting or drawing, which I think its a much more productive use of my time.

The amount of 14-15 year old kids I've seen on the internet speak about their (or their friends) pron addiction is abysmal. The fact that I rarely hear parents talk about this or be worried about this is abysmal too.

I'm glad that my cousin is raising her kids without screens of any kind. They recently watched some TV with their grandma for the first time and it was like of those old tube TV's with a VHS player built in. She put on an old episode of Martha Stewart she had taped lmao. Seems like the wisest decision. If they're going to drive at 16, it's a good idea they have a phone then. There's a balance between keeping them sheltered, but also teaching them how to use technology and the internet responsibly. It's a tough line to tow.

Giving unsupervised and unregulated internet access to young children is legitimately one of the most damaging things a parent can do - and I know this because I was one of those children. Porn addiction is so understudied, especially among kids and teens, but it's so damaging (and if we want to be controversial I think it's behind a host of other growing social issues/phenomenons).
Like, I won't go into detail, but extreme porn consumption really affected me and my relationship with sex and sexuality.

    • @killergoose7643

Just because something is bad for you doesn't make it an addiction. P*rn abuse simply doesn't meet a lot of the psychiatric criteria for addiction based on current research. That doesn't excuse or dismiss anyone's subjective experience dealing with it. Some people seem to think so but neither side of the "debate" should be so reductive about their position on how significant the problem is.

Given the response by many to the Caitibugz/Georgeisnotfound drama I don't blame young men from being too scared to take a chance on a woman. George was dragged for 'sexual assault' by a histrionic 19-year-old because he put his hand on her waist at a party when she had spent an hour or so cuddling with him on a couch. Seeing the level of sheer lunacy from the people defending Caiti as her story fell apart, I feel really sorry for any guy out there who has to pick a wife out of this generation of women.

I remember when all these big streamers all went against gambling streams because of how addictive gambling is and introducing that to a younger audience is bad (which I agree with)
But when Twitch started to allow borderline softcore porn on their site (a site used by young teenage men) they all either shut up or borderline supported it despite how much porn causes damage to young men.
Porn is so accessible now in this age of the internet, you had actually had to find internet porn on your computer now it’s everywhere to TikTok to Twitter to Streaming Sites.
Kids getting accessed to pornography that easy at a young age will fry their brain.
It’s actually kinda funny how at first the internet was the Wild West where you could be as edgy and unfiltered as possible and it would allowed and you actively had to look up porn sites to find it, now the internet and sites like UA-cam and Twitch have become more corporate and sanitized and has crackdown on edgy content for advertising and yet NSFW content is ALL over the internet (especially twitter) it’s funny how that shift happened.

On your final point, when I was younger my mother basically forced me to leave the house and interact with people. This helped massively when it came to my social life overall.
However, I had also begun to view adult content regularly. This absolutely shut down my desire for dating at the time despite my aptitude for socializing.
This went on until I had reached University, I met this one girl who was extremely forward with me and we started to date. While it only lasted for a few months, it was the happiest and most confident I had ever been in my life. Ever since meeting her, I've noticed that I don't have the compulsion to "splooge" as often and I very rarely consume adult content intentionally.

Main problem that I see is the direct association of dating and hooking up, I think that by itself is already a problem and sexualizes what could be seen as a healthy start to a relationship. Women shouldn't feel pressured to "put out" for a guy after a few dates but I also think that shaming others for being virgins or saving up their intimacy is also unhealthy.
Either way this is long term thinking and I don't think we can apply to current societal expectations.

37:45 While it's definitely not a danger with every woman a dude meets, it is a problem that young men really do face currently. It's something that I've faced personally myself as a college student. Just as much as young men struggle to understand how to separate simply approaching women from an act of sexual violence, many women themselves struggle with this as well, taking natural interest from men as an assault against them. Essentially, both sides are convinced of the worst extremes of each other and act in kind.

Like, looking for a boyfriend in their extended friend circle is just not a thing they do at all. My generation, it's basically all we did; friends of friends was the main way of getting to know someone.
For them, if they want male attention at all, it's through an app. Everything real life feels threatening or manipulative. It's really weird.
The thing is, these apps are made by and for wealthy attractive men to have a lot of hookups. So they all end up f-ing the same 5 dudes who keep them in a rotation and never have a normal healthy adult relationships.
That's the flipside of the incel problem; women who are never considered "girlfriend material" because the only acceptable way of meeting someone for gen-Z is through an app which discards 80% of the male population just because of how it is made.

I noticed a lit if times when talking about someien doing something absured or shameful (what should be shameful), many will say "good on them for making money", or "its fine they are at least making some money". I remember when people were morally against greed and profiting from terrible circumstances. But now everyone seems to accept and even promote it. This is most apparent with porn and sexual work, anything NSFW really. I get people are understanding about finnancial struggles but things like that should kept as a last stand, if an option at all. It has really damaged so many communities, fandoms, and groups. As well as had largely negative affect on younger people. Literally in every community, there will always be a sexual side. I have an amazing job, I’m in the best shape of my life, I’m fighting in the ring again, my acrobatics have gotten better, my calisthenics skills are improving. The fact that I don’t care to date or approach women anymore has giving me amazing opportunities for substantial growth. @@Hinson3000 No. It's a precise term for men and women seeking relationships with each other.
It's absolutely disordered behavior. Whenever anyone says their lifestyle "isn't hurting anyone," all they are demonstrating is their inability to conceive of long-term consequences of their behavior. One, if everyone behaved in such a manner, society would crumble. Two, you left a comment on a public forum advertising the virtues of permanently withdrawing from dating to "focus on what's important, despite the fact that mate seeking is one of the most important things men and women should do, and despite the fact that, as it is, your very existence in society, (as does everybody's) relies on men and women having children and raising them to be productive members of society.

Great video as usual man and you're one of the few people who talks about these kinda topics in a level-headed way that can really be appealing to anyone from any side of any spectrum. I do want to say that when you talked about men not approaching women anymore, it is a VERY real fear that a lot of men don't do that anymore because of things like MeToo, cancel culture, ''believe all women'' women making false claims/ allegations, and things like that trend a while ago where women would film ''creepy'' men in the gym for TikTok clout. With the rise of these things plus modern feminism, I and most men just don't think it worth losing your entire future just to get laid or to have a ''potential'' relationship. The fact that most women aren't clear about their feelings but only give ''subtle hints'' also doesn't work when a smile can mean extremely different things. If you aren't attractive, rich, tall, or a smooth talker, your only option these days as an average man is online dating, and no man should do that as online dating is only beneficial to women.
Women and feminists have told men to ''leave them alone'' and that's what men are doing now and are either watching p0rn, OF, or waiting for AI to get better. I just wanted to address this point more because you kinda glossed over it like it wasn't a big deal, but it is and is something I have talked about with a lot of men. On the flip side, in this era of ''equality'', why aren't women approaching men? They love to trash talk how ''cringy'' and ''bad'' men are at talking to women, yet they don't even try it themselves. I think if more women would do this or just be more clear with their feelings and intentions, more men would feel comfortable communicating and interacting with women.

I think that's on purpose, cuz (genuinely no offense) but there's already so many of you blaming (sometimes outright vilinizing) women cuz you're only looking at this from a man's perspective. And if you're a young guy, I can understand that.
There IS a reason why women don't approach men... well it's a combination of two things (mainly)... we don't have the same testosterone fueled sex drive as you do combined with the inherent danger associated with doing so... now calm down, I'm not trying to say there's actual danger every time, but unfortunately, it's basically how you have to approach every time in the beginning, due to just how costly making a mistake can be. Does that make sense? Kinda like how cops have to treat every person they come into contact with like they are potentially armed and dangerous, cuz of the high cost of making a mistake and dying on duty.
And this is a little bit of a different issue, but still connected.. with how in the modern age where women are more often than not, forgoing being stay at home moms and working just as many hours as the men they're in relationships with... men are still leaving all or most of the housework and child rearing to women they're in relationships with...

    • @m1ndfields33
      @m1ndfields33 2 місяці тому

@@ash1eyrose Sure, but feminism is also all about women blaming men for all their issius and are no stranger to villainizing men as well. Of course, we're looking at this from a man's perspective, as it is something that only we exclusively deal with. As a straight woman (even a bi woman), you have abolsuly no idea what women are like, how they treat and interact with you as an average straight man and if more women could experience that, you would also dislike most modern women as y'all treat us like absolute sub humans.
I wasn't aware that you need testosterone to be into someone or to enjoy sex (women don't enjoy sex, yet most had sex toys?!). And '' inherent danger associated with doing so''? Funny how most women don't see that ''danger'' when they spread their legs for rich dudes, when they f*ck random ex-convicts in porn scenes or when they do it for personal gain or benefits. Comparing men with criminals carrying guns also isn't very sympathetic tbh and is more a ''you'' problem.
The thing is that women just want the top 10% or top 1% men and if you don't meet those high standards, you're either not good enough or women will consider these guys when they can't get any better due to having high body counts, or post-hitting the wall. That and women are TRASH at communicating and don't know how to talk to men and don't know how men work. So you come up with all these assumptions based on fear, hate and anger. Nothing personal, but your comment only demonstrates why most men have given up on women as y'all demand us to be respectful to women, yet y'all have nothing but negative things to say about us.

It’s crazy to think about how I was exposed to content like this when I was about 13 despite my parents checking my history and limiting my daily internet access. I can only imagine how ridiculous it is for gen alpha.
One comment, this might sound blackpilled but I don’t buy the stat at 39:26 . At the end of the day, it comes down to parents to teach their kids how to form healthy relationships. Adult entertainment is not going anywhere and each of us can choose whether or not we interact with that type of content. I will be the first to attempt that I have struggled in the past with consuming a lot of adult content and talking to women. In terms of learning to interact with and love the other gender, I had to read a lot of self-help books like Atomic Habit and The Subtle Art of Not Giving an F*** to open my eyes to a different perspective of interacting with my environment. Believe it or not, watching a lot of like-minded UA-camrs like you, Peguniz0, Phillip Defanco, and the Common Ground UA-cam channel has given me more nuances on how I view specific societal and world topics. The internet can take the joy of experiencing life for yourself. It sucks that a lot of people have never been told that someone loves them and never said I love you to another human being. Life is a game you have many opportunities to lose and you equally have as many opportunities to win.✊

7:22 I believe you're conflating the causation with correlation. It may be that people who say they do not watch porn are more religious on average, which can mean a variety of things - they are more choosy, or the divorce is not accepted, or they tend to stick to traditional understanding of marriage and not getting divorce because of the children etc. This is one example I can come up with, but you can see that this does not mean that these "saved" marriages are happy ones.

Alt-right, far-right, notsee and all that don't mean anything to most people anymore
