I'm really proud to have made this video, because initially I wanted to vlog the whole adventure, but ended up giving up pretty quickly for multiple reasons: It was my first time vlogging ever and wasn't used to it, my camera wasn't adapted for vlogging at all (no flip screen, very weighty lens, 24mm at its widest), and the conditions for filming especially the first week were terrible. It's very annoying to take out your camera from its pannier with rain, wind, and cold, and when you do so, you lose momentum in cycling. Fortunately, with the few photos I took there and luckily activating the "Live photo" mode on my iPhone, I could stitch a video together, even with a big lack of in-the-moment videos.
This was an awesome story, thank you so much for sharing! The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is my favorite movie because of the same things that you mentioned, and I have wanted to do a trip like this since first seeing it. Do you mind me asking how you started to plan your route around Iceland? I'd like to know where I should start to look to find bicycle friendly roads and paths to be able to circumnavigate the country, would you be able to share your route? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how old were you on this trip? Thanks Roberto!
Iceland does have it´s way to shape you up, but it rewards you a long the way as well! Bro your storytelling is elite, super excited to see the upcoming videos!!
I also spent 3 weeks circling Iceland on the ring road... but IN A CAR. You guys are absolute badasses. Hopefully you discovered "Pepperoni Tacos" (anyone who has been to Iceland will know what that means). I survived on them since regular fast food was so expensive.
Very very good. Informative, funny without being stupid. Congratulations. There's one other video also very good, a solo canadian (canadian) girl. The wind must be crazy but the worst must be the midges.
Ahh my most favorite country on Earth to visit. I saw many cyclists on Ring Road, but I wondered how they dealt with the long mountain tunnels that don't allow bicycles. Is there an alternative road or trail to go over the mountain. Any insight?
wonderful video! so inspiring tbh and im thinking of doing the same with some friends 🥰 can you share where you rented the bikes and how much you spent?
Damn man, I had that same feeling watching that scene in the movie. I feel like I waited too long to begin such a grand adventure. Hope to one day I just got to get past the fear that comes with that jump.
