    I have watched so many bunny hop videos. This is my new favorite. I have been taking a similar approach, and it’s inspiring to see that you look like I look in the early stages, but you end up at a place I want to get to, which gives me confidence that I am on the right path. I need to add the rest days. I’ve been pushing myself a bit too hard and my body is paying for it.

    Man, the best thing about your video is to see how things actually happen, because in the vast majority of tutorials, progress happens in a matter of minutes, I mean, the guy starts with the manual then goes to the rear lift, puts the two together and by magic he's jumping two feet. Thank you.

    • @111jkjk
      @111jkjk  3 роки тому +1

      🤣i am happy that my video is helpful even though the actual skill level is not high. I made it so I can see my own progression.

    Good to see your struggles and progress, watching the pro vids makes you think you should be getting 2ft in half an hour! Taken me a lot more than 4 days to get half as high as you, though.

    • @111jkjk
      @111jkjk  3 роки тому +5

      Yeah I had little improvement the first few days and it feels like nothing is happening because it is so gradual. Only looking at the recordings could I tell. I had to rest a lot in between

    Dude, you gave me a ‘lightbulb’ moment! I just started riding again after many years and I just can’t get the tail up like I used to. I need to practice scooping more and the ‘tuck’ to feel where I need to be on the bike when I lift up the rear. This makes me want to practice more. Thanks!

      You dont suck. I recorded every training session and watched it over. That way i could compare it to what i shape I was supposed to be making, reducing the amount of training I needed to do. Maybe try recording youself and see it from another angle

      @@111jkjk I started BMX ~1 week ago and hell yeah "creaky with age" but ginger tea/water (cold or hot) gave me some good results for recovery. I'm 33y. and its hard to get the muscle in the shape to feel comfortable + to repeat the propper technique . Warming up with Manual trys, esspecial trying to loop out for safty makes me feel bunny hops work better after it. Keep on rolling :)

      I start started 1 month ago ( I ride/rode scooters many years tho) And Im just learning from 0 again honestly ;D
      I can hope up 3 stairs but without an obstecle Im not in control all the time, gonna practice some scoops too!
      Also the hand placement helped me the past week a lot dude, like, do some fakies and see how u keep ur hands, then kind of do the same when bunnyh too. It dictates the way u balance urself, i dont have probs with looping out but i do nose dive sometimes still ;D
      Basically(for myself)
      -raise front end practice
      -scooping practice
      -balance practice (hand positiong, stabilizing in the air

    I think that it’s realy important to get the front whee off of the ground with the prelod and push L shapetechnique which you would use to start a manual, although I might be wrong because I practice on a mountain bike. If you just lifted the front wheel with a jump, you might be held back a bit with the front wheel still being on the ground and the energy used for jump would be more distributed for getting the front and back wheel off the ground, whereas if you were to use the manual preload L shape technique, the jump which follows it is used more on actually getting your body and just the rear wheel high up.

    • @111jkjk
      @111jkjk  3 роки тому +1

      That is right. This video was a while back. Another poster suggested I practise manualing and after making the L shape it made my bunny hops a lot less effort and higher than these ones

      Good for you man. Keep pushing whatever it is you are passionate about 🤙
      I have not ridden the pushy since this video as I been on the motorized bike.
      Sleep is an important process to recover the nervous system. When new connections are made, byproducts are produced which need to be removed. That is why babies sleep so much, due to the amount of learning they do. A lack of sleep results in diminished gains and a complete lack of sleep will lead to deteriorating motor control and ultimately death if sleep is not permitted. Sleep also is a time when the body recovers alongside the activity in the brain. Without sleep, your muscles and joints will not be able to repair themselves.
