The agent that causes the paint to spread across the page is called ox gall, which is actually bile from cows. Since Holbein is a vegan watercolor, they don't use animal byproducts like ox gall (or honey), and their paint stays where you put it.
No lie, the sparkly paper is kinda cool. Also the art is absolutely adorable and the little raccoon is definitely my favorite followed by the fox then bear then rat.
I am not a big fan of silent, music only videos... I feel like the personal interaction with you, the Artist, is missing, even though I'm enjoying your work. I'll continue to watch because I LOVE your work. I just stumbled across your channel this morning and this kind of art makes me so happy. Either way, I'm subscribing and hope you continue to grow!
These are so cute! Can I ask how you transfer your drawings to the watercolor paper? Or do you just draw straight onto it? They’re so precise and such perfect, fine lines! I always have trouble keeping my sketches neat enough on watercolor paper, and don’t want to use the eraser too much and ruin it. Or if I transfer them, I sometimes misplace lines, etc. I’ve just found you and this is the first of your videos for me, so I’m sorry if the answer to my question is in like every other video you’ve ever posted 😂
Thank you!! I don't actually think I've ever explained it lol. I do the sketchy lineart on my iPad, and then I use the "focus" mode to keep the screen on and prevent the sketch from moving around while I trace on top of it! It helps to use either a regular pencil so you can erase, or just use a super light touch with colored pencils so it doesn't show if you have to fix any lines. I'm not confident enough to draw directly on my watercolor paper 😂
@@starnymphstudio Thank you so much! I got an iPad purely for procreate a couple of years ago and still barely know how to use it. So I definitely didn’t know about that function. I’ve tried to trace from the screen, but definitely screwed it up in the process lol I appreciate your response! And I’m looking forward to binging many more videos! 🖤🖤🖤
Oops I got it wrong, it's actually called Guided Access! I'd share a link if I could, but it's under accessibility options. And I don't blame you, I pretty much only use mine to draw too haha

That's great info, thank you!
Wow, good to know. I love learning most new information of things made from or by nature 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
I really love rats! It's nice to see them incorporated in art because they are so cute and, in my opinion, a really underapreciated animal
They are so underappreciated! I used to have rats, and one of them, Sunny, was an albino who looked just like this one...except a lot fatter lol 🧡
I love your drawings! So cute. I have always wanted to be able to draw cute animals.
Thank you! 🧡
This looked super cozy for the cold night we're starting to get now, so I came to watch them being created 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

Thank you! I know right, I kinda love it 😍
Very cute!
I love these illustrations so much. I hope you continue to be inspired so that I have more beautiful drawings to look at in the future 💖
Thank you 🥰🥰
Super cute! I love Paul Rubens WC too.
Loved every second of this video❤ it was so cute and inspiring!
Thank you so much!!
The colors are nice great here and the faces are cute, this was another banger of a video/art work today! ~
Thank you!!

Thank you so much!! I totally understand, I usually prefer videos with commentary too for the same reason :)
Forgot to say, I also subscribed.
Adorable ❤
Thank you!
Lovely video and lovely art 🎉
Thank you so much! 🧡

@@starnymphstudio oh no worries! I think I’d just made that assumption anyway. But thank you again!
Do you have digital outlines available for sale? It would be fun for us to paint them too :)
I hadn't thought of that, but I'll consider it! Thanks for the suggestion 😁
@@starnymphstudio Agreed! I just found your channel and went to your shop hoping for the line art. It’s adorable!
First video I’ve watched of yours… and you’re so talented! This is my favourite type of cozy painting video to watch ❤️ do you have an Instagram?
Aw thank you so much! I don't, but I am on Bluesky and Cara.
@starnymphstudio alright 🙏 I'll just sub to you~
