This is how to operate CW while listening on your SDR with the help of lz1aq SDR switch.
If you want to use your Software Defined Radio (SDR), not only as panadapter, but also as a fully fledged receiver, you will need to handle the audio path switching.
On transmit you want to listen to the transceiver audio (TRX), while on receiving you want to hear the SDR. A delay is also needed when switching back to receiving in order to compensate for the audio delay in the SDR.
The MFJ T/R switch is not handling the audio paths. So, if you plan doing CW, it's better to get a more sophisticated switch (e.g from Elad or as the one I use from lz1aq).
    My equipment:
    TRX: Kenwood TS-590s
    SDR: SDRplay RSP1A
T/R switch: SDR Switch by lz1aq
    Antenna: 14 Mhz vertical
