If you have motor and remote issue, first try to replace the battery in the remote first, it's a coin size battery like in your car lock remote. The circuit board is the next thing you need to look at. However if the issue is on the circuit board, then it is pretty much useless, unless if you know how to solder and know which part to replace. The motor has useable life due to Bixpy design, I actually took apart one, it has its own circuit inside that communicate with the circuit board in the battery. It will eventually go bad depends how often do you use it, I say 3-4 years under using it every weekend for a 6-8 hr fishing session, once that happens and it is almost impossible to repair it.
@@usstartarsauce Yeah, remote was barely submerged under water surface and got water inside. F6I wasn’t aware it’s NOT waterproof, otherwise I would dry it out immediately. Found fine print on remote after it was too late. What a stupid design. Waterproof motor & battery, but not the remote. Especially since at first glance it looks like its got watertight gasket and buttons 🤦🏻♂️.
Yes, in all of my recent video I have been using this set up. I never run out of battery then again I am mainly using it to troll for kokanee at the moment
I bought the k1 motor and want to build my own battery and controller system. Is the k1 a single phase brushless motor? I can't find any good tech specs for the motor. I cut the factory connector end off and I have two motor leads and 3 signal wires.
unfortunately you can only use Bixby's battery control board, inside the K1 there is another circuit board, that corresponding to the program on the control board on the battery. It's not really high tech however that's the way making it proprietary.
@@usstartarsauce I found a work around, they sell the larger battery pack control module separately. I need to a huge favor though, can you figure out what color the 3 smaller leads are from the motor plug to the receptacle on the battery interface?
If I just wanted to buy the original battery in the bixpy where would you buy it from? I heard you say in the beginning that you could get it for $70-$100?
you need to find battery in 6P7S configuration (6 x 7 connected in a certain way), www.made-in-china.com/showroom/evolutioncells/product-detailAZxGzsNHHphu/China-Lithium-Ion-Battery-Pack-24V-27AH-26650-6P7S-For-Electric-Scooter-Solar-Energy.html something like this could and should work, however you have to figure out the connector
I will not do this for you because of liability reason, however I will answer any questions as best I can if you have any. Feel free to message me @usstartarsauce on instagram
Here is the case www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2BQHZJG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Here is the battery: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKVGJNSQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Any 24V (actual 25.6V) LifePO4 battery would work.
This is awesome. I have one of the original batteries for the J-1 that went bad. I'm going to try this with it. Thanks for sharing this.
I hope it helps
Great idea. I’ll do that when is time. My batteries are still ok, but got other issues with motor and remote.

@@usstartarsauce Never again Bixpy motors. Planned obsolescence.
Incredible, sir 👏
Thank you
Good Job. Thanks for this information.
Are you still using this setup ? If you are how has it been holding up

Thank you
Wondering is it possible to use ESC with marine battery vs bixpy battery?
@@rubinesamuel9078 I don’t think so, because bixpy motor is brushless and it has its own circuit board.
Very interesting, now I want one of those
but you sold them all I heard

Can u still the lights of the battery life?
You can, the lights are on the circuit board itself, I just dont want to cut a window for it and waterproof the area
