All the best toward getting your renovations done! I have heard many stories from others getting renovations. First, how difficult it has been getting reliable contractors. And once you do, getting work completed in a timely manner. Looking forward to move videos in the future!
That is why construction companies of any size have project managers whose job it is to be "Herding cats", and keeping construction times on track. The company I worked for installed one of our very first PC LAN's in they early 80's for a large regional construction firm. Most of the time when I worked with them it was what technology they need to look that was the best tool needed to do the job. It was not how much did it cost that was the main concern. Much like the truly professional sound production world. Your clip just brought back memories of the giant construction gant charts they use to make on this very large HP printer/plotter device, and all the details to track construction deadlines. Thing is age of "COVID-19 pandemic of the unvaccinated" it is even harder to stick to a timeline in the construction world. Wish you well in this new year.
Moving the studio around must be quite the undertaking. I can only imagine the amount of wiring that must go into a setup like that. Every time I have to rearrange and/or tear down my 'tech room' for whatever reason, even if I set everything up in basically the same way, I always end up with piles of cables/cords that were being used, but for some reason are unused leftovers now... even though I all of my gear was re-set up. Don't know how that happens. I guess the wires reproduce or something ha. You run into stuff like that or is it just me?

I have a question though, as I'm a longtime fan of your work & newfound subscriber, and just now found you helped compose what impacted me throughout my childhood through hours of desperate curiosity-driven searching haha. Made the Beyblade series that much more enjoyable for me by sharing your composition art around that time. I can't imagine how many times you may of been asked this & it is a bit random given the context of the video, but never hurts to ask anyways. Lol Was there a reason why (& fingers crossed will there be any hope for a future release of) the Beyblade metal masters OST, dedicated to Damian Hart, "Gates of Hell" OST/Theme which was never officially released? My favorite soundtrack/orchestra instrumental probably of all time & not just in the Beyblade universe. It's what got my interests set on instrumentals as a whole, truly impactful & outstanding work of art. Hope to hear back from you though, thanks in advance

In the last 8 months I sold my motorcycle, bought acoustic drums (drum room was part of building work) and play every week day online with people from nearby. Recording has taken a little of a backseat in favour of live performing.
I allllllmost decided to sell my motorcycle. I swear I rode it twice last year with the constant bad weather. What did you ride? How’s the live scene with Covid chaos?

I haven't played any live venue, I am using Jamulus and I am part of a semi permanent set of friends that include a sax player several bass players a piano player, a couple of keyboardists, some guitarists and a regular singer, I sing as I play drums these days too.

HA! I am nearly in the same boat. I began building a new house in Australia....now still waiting after 15 months for it to still be finished! Yep that's right 15 MONTHS! Then went to the US (Orlando) for some work, and see some family. Went to head back to Australia....and tested positive for COVID....so postponed my return to Australia until after February 5th. SO I am still here in Orlando Florida...btw I had zero symptoms, and feel fine..so.....uhm. Anyone have a tv series I can compose for? HA! GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK NEIL!! Send me some Tim BITS STAT!
we were just about to start back in May, then the permits were a month late because the city person went on vaca and didn't tell anyone. Then, the factory that makes the long span joists burned down so there was a supply shortage so we had to change the supports to steel beam, which meant re-engineering sign-offs... fast forward to early jan and just as Drywall is about to be done... the guy gets COVID. *sigh* ALLLLLLLLMOST.

I know how renovations go, as I recently had 2 super-old windows replaced, which should have been quick and easy, but after extensive wall rot was found, it was more like two walls replaced at 10x the expected time and cost. :( Are there any links to the TV shows you've been on? Are they interviews or do you just mean you composed for them?

'interesting" - as they blew my back roof off, and were ready to do these long spans for a 2nd floor, and then the place in the States that makes them burned down so there was North America shortage which led to re-engineering the 2nd floor with steel .. which led to it's own challenges and on and on and on. But, that aside, the stuff that drove me up the wall was spotting little mistakes in architectural and HVAC drawings etc.. mentioning it, and getting the 'dont worry about it'.. only for those exact things I pointed out to almost bite us in the ass months and months later that could grind everything to a halt. I thought "I've been on a bunch of TV shows" might have meant you personally have been on the shows. And I don't mean like Flock Audio using your video as a plug for them. Just keep composing and let us know where we can hear the new stuff. A friend of mine showed me The Mandalorian "making of" and the episode about the music. He was impressed with the modular synths that guy has. My friend doesn't really know much about music or synths. And I was like, yeah that's nice, but look what Neil has! I showed him your modular video and the one with all the 80s synths. And my friend was like, whoa! And then I played him a few of your compositions and he liked those as well. Keep up the good work!
Chances are, sonnet will release an upgrade for their boxes. You could go tb3, as an rme madi card is pcie 1x - more than ample bandwidth available on TB3 for that

Came here looking for more Mac content. My friend was looking to buy 14" Macbook Pro, and Apple wants $400 USD for 16gb of RAM (price on Amazon/Newegg is $60). Insane. And the new Intel i7-12700H laptop processor is basically *eviscerating* M1 Mac. And of course it runs the HUGE x86 software base, perfectly. And games too.
This "proof of life" video is clearly fake. Obviously Neil's cats tripped him on the stairs, ate his liver, and then used Neil's Mac Pro to create a "Neil" webcam filter in Blender. Bad kitty! Bad!
