Great tip Steve. I have missed your videos. Been away somewhere?
Looks like a good start; I was clueless out there today. Thanks!
loved the concept of this drill. Nice.
Perfect! Keep it simple.
Outstanding teaching.
I just started golfing. I was leaving all weight on back foot. Or when I would swing I would leave all weight and do the squishy movement with back leg. My new golf coach told me this. To roll my back ankle and it helped so much. There is no way you can leave weight on back foot. It forces all weight forward. Great drill. I swing like this now. I will eventually learn how to finish on my toe. But this is good for now.
Thanks Steve. This looks like a really good drill for me. I’ve noticed recently I’m striking my irons a tiny bit behind the ball. I’ll give this drill a go and see what happens. 😎
Like this video. Thank you.
very good
Whenever I start teaching a new golfer this is the drill I use first. It is also good for anyone struggling with solid contact and follow through. L to L and various one foot drills along with legs together complete the pressure shift component of stance.
Great tip!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice video Steve. I seem to remember years ago that Mike used to promote what he called a compound pivot. It always reminded me somewhat of a swinging bell where the head kept mostly still until the weight had transferred to the front foot. The hammer of the bell could be likened to a club accelerating into the side of the bell (or a ball).
Yes! This is just a piece of that concept.
Hey Steve, thanks for the drill. I find after all my years of golf, proper weight shift is one of my struggles. I look forward to working on this drill. I need something simple and foolproof.
Glad to help!
I'm so glad you're back. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for this. A question if I may: does this help with the correct pivot too?
Thank you Steve
Grateful Aussie.
Dude! Where ya been??? I’ve been going through withdrawals man! What a good morning shot in the arm before my round. Thanks for the vid!!!
All good in the hood.
I move the HIP from "4 to 10" while kicking the inner knee to the target. Dunaway was right.
It's not complicated: I shift the belly button and turn around the post while maintaining my tilt.
You won't "hump" anything(☺) if you maintain your tilt until the arm brings your head up.
Thanks, Steve, for a different view.
Sure. Most people using 4-10 get in enormous trouble. They have to think left hip to 8, right hip and knee to 9.
@@Inmotion70 Both "thoughts" get me moving the same way!!! ☺
Your idea makes it easier to maintain the swing center and stay in the shot.
Thanks, Steve.
Sounds like what scheffler does in real time
👏👏👏👏👏
OK, but this doesn't prevent a massive reverse C where lower body thrusts forward and upper body goes backwards, leading to a delayed weight shift. Any tips on how to combat that?
Only if you finish with your head back at the end
Why not just use the stack and tilt?
I supposed you could. I don't like the steeper descent or the lack of power potential.
