I understand the desire to encourage people and share the good news, but sometimes we should keep our heads down and let evil people reap the consequences of trying to destroy us over something as small as evangelism

We are not responsible for other people's souls. If they know enough about the message to hate it and to be willing to destroy you for even mentioning it, then it's not your problem. Be safe

God will protect you. If you are in Christ ( born-again). He will have them see and not see what it is that might harm you if they could see you or something about you. He protects you. Read and reread, until you know this scripture like your ABC's (this means repeat a Lot!) Isaiah 54:19. Also Hebrews 11: 1-2. The word of God is spirit and light. It sounds like you are low on this fuel, for the Christian stand. Ours is not to fight (physically) but to STAND strong in His word. Look at this story, David and Goliath.

Best not to focus on the sin and just tell people that were all in the same boat and that we all need the Savior no matter what our sin is. Easier said than done because they obsess over their sin but as much as it is possible this is the better option.

The biggest scandal today with Christianity is the understanding of baptism.
ROMANS 6:4
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Do you only "water "in the baptism of the Holy Spirit are TEARS of LIVING WATER created from repentance..
Water baptism was only for John the Baptist to find and identify the son of God. given instructions by GOD in john 1:31 - 34

The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom!
Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! Believers will rule the nations with Jesus! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! They will rule the nations! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21
Matt 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus said the Father is the only true God!
John 17
3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
