So u could supply 200MW for 5-10 hrs. Or 100MW for 10-20hrs. There are non-battery storage such as from Highview Power in the UK that can supply 200MW for several days 😊. So nope, solar and wind are very economic and they also offer a de-centralised solution for micro-grids and also residential power for those who want to have their own security of supply. I can not see consumers gaving a geothermal well going 20km into tge ground to generate their own power. So gerothermal is a very large scale grid scale solution and it will only succeed it is cap ex and op ex is the same or lower than a similar sized solar and wind farm with batteries/ Highviewpower liquid air battery solution.
