I don't have any issues with someone doing that, by the way, I just think the show title is a bit misleading. But I could be wrong considering even the confirmed criminal psychologists never seem to put forth any insights that aren't already obvious. As a psychologist, I’m mad that the last people to interview Ivan Milat and report on it went for empathy for his victims and their families. If you really wanted to get information, you would have fed into his narcissistic ego.
Maybe you did, but didn’t film or use it. I think most people know he has no empathy. I’d rather see a genuine attempt at using strategies that would entice him to give up evidence for the families, even if it inflates his ego.

They actually end up in a maximum security mental health facility that is not open to the public. It's basically the worst possible form of prison you could ever go to in the USA! There needs to be at least 2 psychologists on the panel, with only 1 (and I've seen this on your other docos) there tends to be a bias of their own opinions rather than a back and forth of facts... there is a lot of interpretation in psychology and with only 1 pscyh on your panel it loses some of it's credibility.

It's really rich to have these cases looked at and judged by Australians. I mean, the "Australian Justice System" is essentially an oxymoron, when you look at how unjust their system is designed to be. I just watched a show about this college chick who had a dinner party at her and her boyfriend's house. Everyone at the party, except the boyfriend, knew ahead of time that the girlfriend intended to murder the boyfriend that night. Ultimately, she followed through with her plans and murdered her boyfriend. She was charged and imprisoned for just 18 MONTHS before being released back into society. 18 MONTHS for premeditated murder in Australia.

She was probably trying to find some comfort in joking about her son... maybe that was a silly joke they used to laugh about while he was alive. I don't think she meant it as literally as you may have taken it. She just lost her son because of a senseless murder. I'd give her a pass.
