- Turn any text into a shape. To do this project today you will need a program called Inkscape which is completely free. After adding in your text into the program you're only going to have to press 1 button in order to take your text and put it into any shape!

BTW I didn't need to put the text into a single line, I could just create a custom text box and then do this procedure and it worked. So maybe they've updated that.

Followed directions but when I "flow into frame," my text disappears! I made heart pink and text black??? Any ideas?
Make sure your text is in front of the shape. (Bring it forward). I’ve noticed that if the shape is above the text the text disappears

I am trying the same method but instead of lyrics from the internet I have names in word that I need to put into numbers. I got as far as "flow into frame" but it will not work from there. What would be your suggestion on this?

Hi I love this video but for some reason reason my text is going in when I click flow to flame can you help please I’ve been trying for days
Thought I had found the solution to an issue I’m trying to resolve. However when I try to do this I can’t get the text to go on one line as demonstrated. I have a newer version of Inkscape. When I load a project the workspace is A4 - is that my problem? What is the purpose of the box? Is that a text box?. So frustrating!
I would just type everything out on one line. No matter the size workspace you have, it' shouldn't matter.
I was with you until the last part where you ungrouped then welded. I'm on a PC and couldn't find those command shift g and command shift plus sign
right click and press ungroup then go to the top select path and then union

you probably have the newer version of Inkscape - the buttons are all there. I would suggest listening to what buttons I say to press and locate them on your screen.

you just type out your letters all in one line.

Why don't you just draw a heart, that's what inkscape is for.
