it would be nice to have the different oil filters listed for each verado.

Hi William, the part numbers are not listed in the video as they are subject to change. Your Mercury Marine dealer can assist you with obtaining the correct parts if you provide them with your engine serial number.

How do you change if you are in the water?

Is there a link or somewhere that has the correct part numbers for these? I'm having trouble finding the correct filter socket for my Verado 200hp 4 stroke

He does not address the O-ring and making sure it's in the proper position when reinstalling the plug. Also he does not discuss the proper method to check the oil level which is to refill to the prescribed amount. Run the engine for a few minutes and shut it off. Tilt the motor Up and Wait for a Minute to allow the oil to drain down from the sump area. Then tilt the engine down and pull the dipstick to ensure proper level.

The oil volume is incorrect. That is the non oil filter change

+Jim Harnist Thanks for the comment. You are correct there are two different specifications for adding oil to the engine. A completely dry oil change, generally with a brand new engine build it would be 8 liters or (8.4 quarts). The wet specification per the owner's manual to adding oil to the operating range (midpoint of the crosshatched region on the dipstick) is approximately 7 liters or 7.4 quarts.

What does wet vs dry mean? Just checked oil on new 400main engines and the level was not in cross hatched area on dipstick. I remember same issue with Verado 350’s last year. I drained about 7L but it took more.

@@kylenichols5484 Yeah, I was confused as I just saw my oil filter on the starboard side..
