Honestly, I enjoy Operation Maidwatch simply for the fact that they didn't throw Mishima under the bus or something. Boy deserves much better then his confidant gave him. Its nice that he's actually included and feels like a friend to Joker and Ryuji, rather then him being off to the side.
I've really been enjoying watching you play through this for the first time. Brings back a lot of good memories. After you beat this, I would definitely recommend Persona 4, specifically Persona 4 Golden, because it's the "complete" edition just like Royal. P4G is definitely my favorite Persona game of all-time, the cast of characters are great and the vibes of hanging out with everyone (minus the main plot) reminds you of goofing off with best friends during summer vacation.
The awakening in this video is viewed by many as the best in the game alongside the next awakening. Spoilers for people who haven't seen past Madarame's palace: Fun fact: The counseling sessions were fully voiced before, but they overhauled the dialogue in those scenes so they're not voiced anymore. Same goes for reality checks and final awakenings. 52:44 She probably isn't used to people wanting to help her 1:17:29 Actually, Yoshizawa was most likely using her sister's phone that was damaged in the incident.
I think if you're enjoying this game as much as you seem to be, you would love the other persona games, or at least 3 and 4. They're a bit of an adaptation visually but once you get used to the fact they aren't aesthetic masterpieces, the rest of the games really are masterpieces
Though 3 especially will be a bit more of an adjustment curve since in a lot of respects it hasnt aged very well beyond just visually (there's actually a lot of impressive visual elements for a game that old, like all the minor animation touches). The fact that it was the first to have social links really shows with how badly they feel handled at times and how subpar and non-interesting a majority felt looking back on it and a good chunk of the start of 3 has very little actually going on. That's just my opinion though, might not be completely shared by others.
