Thank you ..i have been buying gloves for my son that has eczema, after watching your video , I have not only saved myself money but time of waiting for my son's gloves to come thru. Now I will be making my son's gloves .
Well i dont have sewing machine but i can sew with my hand, it's taking more time but nail it for those of you who say untidy. I'm pretty good at sewing. I even made face mask
I'm going to have to rush sew some gloves for MCM Comic Con in less than a week, this tutorial was literally exactly what I needed and affirmed what I already had in mind for construction technique. Thank you for making this, really helpful!
Wow, I am so dumb. I have been struggling so much with gloves to the point where I was stitching the glove on my hand without using my machine. I never tried cutting out the glove shape before sewing. That will def help me a lot!! Thank you!
I have to sew stuff in one night for an upcoming cosplay that coincides with my exam week. This tutorial is the fastest and easiest to understand so thank you very much!! ^^
Omg omg omg thank you so much. I was going craY trying to find brown auede gloves for a costume. I remembered i had some faux suede stretchy fabric leftover. Im a happy girl now
This was very helpful! Thanks so much for the clear directions and helpful tips! It really helps a person like me (I have very little sewing experience) to understand how to do this!
I've been working on my own Margot Robbie-style Harley Quinn cosplay since yesterday, and all of the sudden I realized I had never made my own gloves, despite how long I've been sewing. Even though the gloves I'm making are fingerless/biker gloves, I needed the basic concept of how to go about sewing them together, and what I was completely stumped on was tracing my hand on paper! LOL. So, even though I only needed a minute of your video, I liked and subbed. Thank you! xoxo
+Ally Szamanka Ahh, good luck on your Harley Quinn!! Fingerless gloves are so much more lenient to make since you don't have to compensate for the finger length. Thanks for subbing!!
This looks very easy! im gonna be Papyrus for halloween and a convention in Febuary. I figured it would look way nicer if i did most if not everything handmade. definitely gonna use this for the glove pattern!
Thank you! I'm going to use this vid as a guide for making my first pair of gloves, faux leather gloves for my TF2 Medic cosplay, for a con coming up this summer 😊 (I've been using regular rubber dish washing gloves the whole time before, and last time I wore them, my hands were absolutely chafed red as hell and were stinging by the end of the day 😅 definitely need something better)
Thank you. I've got a red cotton shirt to make a pair of glove that I can use as a lining when I put on my Iron Man Gloves. I can only find white gloves and dyeing it red has shrunk it a little having a very tight fit, and possibly wash off the color if I launder it.
Omg this is going to be a life saver for me in all honesty (other than the fact that I sew by hand since I’m missing parts to a sewing machine given to me by my aunt) I’m Trying to make gloves like Keith Kogane wears in the Voltron Legendary Defender Netflix original and this is going to be really useful for me :)
Thank you for sharing this. :D Who knew it'd be that simple. Now I can work on my Doctor Strange gloves without worrying about finding gloves that never seem to fit me right.
I imagine you can use this technique for leather gloves too? maybe you would have to to take a bigger space outside the template since leather is thicker and you might want to add some sort of lining... I´ll give it a go!!
Do you think this would work on non-stretchy fabric? I'm doing a Zelda cosplay, and I need the gloves to be made of the same satin as the dress. I do have some cheap costume gloves I might trace since they aren't nearly as stretchy as most fabric I've seen used. I really don't have the energy to dye fabric to match the weird shade of light pinky-purple, but I do have time to experiment.
From experience, this method doesn't work very well on non-stretchy fabric. The material becomes to stiff and it doesn't sit well on the hand. I'd suggest using a stretchy fabric anyways, finding a different method, or ordering some pre-made gloves somewhere online. Good luck with your cosplay!
@@caspuwao6460 Thanks! I have some premade gloves that don't stretch. I might use that as a pattern, because I really need the satin gloves to match the dress, and it doesn't come in stretch. I'll be making it in the spring, so I'll probably test it out with some cheaper fabric.
My daughter is 18 months old and she is going to be Cruella Deville for halloween and i cant find small enough gloves for her. This video is perfect and easy, Thank you for the upload, it is just what i need
+playero35 Hmm, I think I would make the fins separately first, and if they can be sewed through, then place them in the glove before you sew up the side seams and sew them right in there? Otherwise you may have to attach it using some kind of adhesive! I'd look at other batman (or even batgirl/batwoman) cosplays to see how they did it too!
Wish I found this video sooner. I used normal fabric for my first attempt at making gloves instead of stretchy fabric. Now i'm onto plan B which is to get dish-washing gloves and painting them lol
This was so helpfull omfg, i plan to make gloves for a modelling event but i don't know wherr to find a good pair, now i can make good gloves. Now where's my mom's sewing machine?
hey^^ i wanted to ask u do u think it will work if i use leather and not fabric? cuz i need the gloves to be long and from leather so i wanted to ask if the same method will work
I don't own a sewing machine; would this method be possible with the old fashioned way? I know it would be more difficult but so long as it's possible I'm all in!
Thanks.
Its short
easy to understand
I love Tuturials like these and it is very helpfull !!!! Thank you very much

Face masks are pretty easy to make
I'm gonna have to do the same. Takes lots of patience. But for me it's a great thing to do while listening to a video, podcast, or audiobook. :)
Nice! I'm gonna try if I can cut and sew pointy nails/fingers so I can make my Chat Noir gloves.
I'm going to have to rush sew some gloves for MCM Comic Con in less than a week, this tutorial was literally exactly what I needed and affirmed what I already had in mind for construction technique. Thank you for making this, really helpful!
+Revaris so glad it could help! Good luck with the con crunch!! 💪
I need to make fingerless gloves for my Otabek cosplay and this was the only glove tutorial that was easy to understand and simple, so thank you!
When I started cutting the excess, I accidentally cut off a finger 😭😭
Omg, ouch i hope you're okay
Tah
Cherokee Ward I think she meant the finger part of the glove
.. ya’ll I think she meant the cut out.. T-T
Oh shit, I just hope you had enough fabric to remake it😥
I think you have the only video that has voice over on how to do everything. Thank god! About to go try this out myself :)
+Kysa Gaming Good luck!!
It's pretty easy to sew by hand too! This is great!
Wow, I am so dumb. I have been struggling so much with gloves to the point where I was stitching the glove on my hand without using my machine. I never tried cutting out the glove shape before sewing. That will def help me a lot!! Thank you!
+ManaRoanam you're a trooper for doing it like that!! I'm glad the video was helpful to you!
I have to sew stuff in one night for an upcoming cosplay that coincides with my exam week. This tutorial is the fastest and easiest to understand so thank you very much!! ^^
It works way better than the 2 other methods I've tried. Thank so much!!
Glad it worked out well for you!!
Omg omg omg thank you so much. I was going craY trying to find brown auede gloves for a costume. I remembered i had some faux suede stretchy fabric leftover. Im a happy girl now
Thanks! first thing I sew, I made this glove. I find it easier to first sew the fingers and then cutting the shape between fingers.
used this for my luck voltia cosplay, put some foam together and taped it on the glove.
turned out amazing
This was such an easy to understand and wonderful little tutorial.
Thank you so much for posting it. :)

Thank you so much - I love this pattern
I have those same pins. Great pattern tutorial
Im making some with leather so my parakeet stops chewing up my skin, this helps thanks!
This tutorial was awesome! Really helpful, good work.
Thanks! Just what I needed for my MGS cosplay. I was wondering how on earth to do the seam allowances for the fingers.
Could you use leather with this method, or does working with leather require a different approach?
YESS IM DOING THIS FOR MY BLACK BUTLER COSPLAY! !!!!!
+Ann OQuinn ahh great!! I hope they turn out well!
xDDDD SOOO COOL >_< DID YOU MAKE IT THEN ?
This is helpful , but if i want to turn the glove inside out , what do i do with the extra bits of cloth at the sideway of the fingers
Do you make a separate one for the right hand?
I imagine you can use this technique for leather gloves too? maybe you would have to to take a bigger space outside the template since leather is thicker and you might want to add some sort of lining... I´ll give it a go!!
These looks so awesome and well made! Another great tutorial girl. I am loving your videos! :)
soooo, which stitch do you recommend, when you do hand sewing? i dont have a sewing machine currently and wont be able to get one soon!
Ok so this gives me an idea. Would this work with faux leather if ur sewing with a machine?
Do you think this would work on non-stretchy fabric? I'm doing a Zelda cosplay, and I need the gloves to be made of the same satin as the dress. Thanks I'm hoping that gloves (of this fashion) will help with my confidence ☺️
thank you so much! this is really helpful for me. I finally know how to sew it and I can use it for my future cosplay.
You're welcome! I'm really glad that it can help you out with future cosplays.
+Shiro Neko hahahaha for a moment I thought you were making conversation to yourself.
im getting ready to go out to see a play on a date, so im dressing up but didn’t have any gloves! this really helped!!!
I am really late but I have a question-if I cant sew with hands and dont have sewing machine,is it okay to use Glue?
thank you so much for this it helped so much! If you don't mind my asking what editing studio do you use?
Is there a specific stitch to use if you don’t have a sewing machine and have to do it by hand?
Thank you this is very helpful and I can't wait to try it.
Can a white or black shirt be a substitute for the globe material ? And can it be hand stitched?
My daughter is 18 months old and she is going to be Cruella Deville for halloween and i cant find small enough gloves for her. This video is perfect and easy, Thank you for the upload, it is just what i need
Thanks I am dressing up as flash this really helps
Wow it's really awesome...... thanks for this tutorial
I need to make fingerless gloves for a Jyn Erso cosplay- recommendations? Do I just make them like normal then cut the fingers off where needed?
Can you make another one for lace gloves? And thank you for this video 💜
I have an important question, would this work with some kind of pleathery material?
Thank you! I am going to make Michael Jackson sparkle gloves!
Woww that was very quick and very nice
the gloves I’m making don’t have fingertips do I just cut them off?
Is anyone else using this for a bnha or my hero academia cosplay, like if you are
Nice video. I am trying to make the Batman 66 costume and was wondering how to add the side "fins" but using your method. Any idea?
+playero35 Hmm, I think I would make the fins separately first, and if they can be sewed through, then place them in the glove before you sew up the side seams and sew them right in there? Hi!! Thank you so much for the tutorial, helped me alot!! What fabric did you use?
+Louise FMir I'm glad it could help Louise! I used milliskin spandex for my gloves.
I'll try this for my Karkat cosplay! (to make the hands his skin color) I'll update when I finish it.
Can a normal shirt be a substitute for that type of fabric for the glove?
Is fleece the best material to make for these gloves?
Wish I found this video sooner. I used normal fabric for my first attempt at making gloves instead of stretchy fabric. Now i'm onto plan B which is to get dish-washing gloves and painting them lol
Super
This was so helpfull omfg, i plan to make gloves for a modelling event but i don't know wherr to find a good pair, now i can make good gloves. Now where's my mom's sewing machine?
Good tutorial of I learn how to work with foam I could perhaps make a robotic looking hand/arm
hey^^ i wanted to ask u do u think it will work if i use leather and not fabric? cuz i need the gloves to be long and from leather so i wanted to ask if the same method will work
This tutorial is only meant to be used with a 4 way stretch fabric. Other non stretch fabrics won't work well with this method!
Very easy! Thank you.
This is great! Thank you!
I don't own a sewing machine; would this method be possible with the old fashioned way? I know it would be more difficult but so long as it's possible I'm all in!
+Shimmalia most definitely! As long as you can sew the edges together, it'll work just fine. Pinning should help a lot when hand sewing.
Thanks for the great easy and quick tutorial! I was wondering what kind of fabric you used in the video, please let me know if you get the chance! XD
Hello! Thank you so much for the sweet words, the fabric I used in this tutorial was milliskin spandex!
