This is the first Slayer I’ve seen on this channel that actually seems to know the character well. Not a slight on other Slayer players, quite the opposite, as this seems to be a turning point, in my opinion, for Slayer characteristically as now people know exactly what to do with his kit.

@@beexxxy what does even "win by dlc" mean? 90% of the meta are characters from the base game like sol, nago, ram ecc. Also, this might sound crazy to you, but people have different taste. That's right. Slayer serves a specific character archetype (like every single other character lmao) and some people like that archetype. It's not like somebody is 100% UNABLE to like a playstyle because the char is strong. Would you istantly drop your main if it became top 1 character in the game? No, you wouldn't because you would still like him. What a crazy concept!
@@litapd311 The "Universe" voice line/effect is an attribute of Slayer's command grab "Blood Sucking Universe". After landing it the next strike that connects is the same as a forced Counter hit and to differentiate it from your usual counters the Universe voice line is played. That however isn't necessarily what I was talking about. Deflect Shield is a very risky defensive option in general, but against a character like Slayer that had plenty of forward momentum to nullify the knockback provided makes it practically useless. At the risk of tooting my own horn, check the video I uploaded today of me fighting a Sol and having my Deflect Shield completely ignored by his Vortex.
Marvelous. Strive was a ridiculous piece of garbage from the start. No gameplay variability, gutted gameplan of many canonical classic characters of the series, who were simply unlucky due to the bias of the Arcsystems, and an absolute disregard for balance. Ridiculous game design decisions with inappropriately high damage and simply endless free pressure. Zato in seasons 1 and 2. Ridiculous auto-aim shooting gallery with HC on release and after that they give him the best mix-up potential in the game. Constant buffs to the gorillas in every patch, as if their pressure was so weak and they needed a wild assault... New character moves are just a piece of cake: Millia's new move is just another poorly converted melee poke. Not a single Millia player wanted this, but they didn't even ask character's audience what the character needed. As a result - no changes. The meta games are still the same several overbuffed gorillas, Nago with an unresponsive full-screen overhead, Sol with broken damage, Ky, May, GL, Pot, Slayer, ABA -gorilla characters that will destroy you in 2 touches. They are adding more and more gorillas to the game, with huge HP and Huge damage. There are so many gorilla characters in this game because the balance in Strive always works in the same direction.. You see how there is not a single top strong Millia player left either in world. During these 3 years, almost all the top best players in the world abandoned the character. Deplorable condition. Completely corrupt meta bloggers, LK and Leffen have touted this game as being extremely balanced, when they themselves are the best example of how unbalanced Strive is. You literally have no chance to win with character who is not in the meta. All the latest CEO, EVO, Combobreaker, Faustings, Arcrevo finals show the same characters and players... There is no competition for the rest of the roster and no representation. Strive is simply the worst thing in this series, and I can't believe that this will all end with on this.
idc what anyone says but slayer shouldnt be able to counter hit normally instead make him only be able to do a normal counter with bloodsucking universe and remove the universe counter hit
