Vortec 5.7 L31 timing tab

any chance you have a part number for that balancer? I have an L31 vortec engine in my firebird that I can never get the timing right on and I feel its due to the aftermarket timing tab and balancer. The engine is never happy unless its apparently at 46 degrees total timing according to various timing lights, my assumption is that the tab or TDC mark is off which makes 36 degrees read as 46 degrees

I have this engine set at 15 degrees initial timing max is 36 , it is just a vortec 5.7 8" balancer I got from oreillys . Vacumn advance is hooked manifold vacumn not timed vacumn. Runs great.

I don't understand timing what u mean 12 degrees
