Fun to see you make a video on Zaccaria Pinball!
To give some information about the cameras, a portion of the players like to play with a moving camera and is the main reason why we left it in :).
If you have questions you can always contact us on Facebook, Discord, Twitter and Twitch.

The moving camera (WITHOUT horizontal scrolling) is my way to go, and only Zaccaria have this one.

I bought this game a couple a years ago after first having the demo version. Went for the platinum pack during a sale which gives you everything except the soundtracks. Then when a new table is released (which has been frequently over the last few years) you can buy them for 50% discount. I love relaxing to this game late at night with that retro glow of the lights and the sound of the ball running over wood. So cool. Also I can swivel my monitor to vertical, tilt it back, rotate the game and put the camera in cabinet mode so the table fills the screen. A great way to play. I also do this with Zen and Pinball Arcade.

It's easy to jump in and out of and doesn't require a huge investment if you don't have that kind of time. But if you do there's over 4000 achievements to keep busy.

There's actually 39 tables + award tables. SS and the EMs are the original tables from the 70s to 1989 when zac went out of business. The deluxe tables are what might have been if zac stuck around and had modern upgrades like dmd etc. RETRO are tables redone in an a retro way..small flippers etc. Award tables were made for mobile but then they added them so you can unlock them as you get achievements.

This game has been in Early Access for several years. When I first bought it I bought the Platinum Pack, which gave me all tables and other DLC available at that time. Since then whenever they add new DLC I re-buy the Platinum Pack. I get a big discount that way plus they only charge you for the content that you hadn't already purchased. Back when I first started with this game they had most of the SS tables and a few EM's, but NO Remake, Retro, Award, or Deluxe tables. The Deluxe category is new. They still have another 23 Deluxe tables to design and release.
Some Solid State tables have an extra ball feature that the real machines have. In a 3 Ball game how much time you get on the 4th ball is determined by how long you kept the 3rd ball in play. The same applies to a 5 Ball game. Keep that 4th ball in play for as long as you can for maximum affect.
Do NOT buy the Retro Pack! You get each Retro table for FREE when you buy the table it's based on. Buy the Supersonic table as an example, you get the Supersonic Retro table for FREE. The Award tables can be earned, or you can buy them in a Pack.
Some Achievements can be earned in User Mode, even more in Arcade Mode, but the most in Simulation Mode. Probably because it's the hardest.
Not all modes, such as Lamp Hunter, are available on the Retro tables because some of them don't have Lamps. That's just one example.
In the time that I've had Zaccaria Pinball they've changed the Front End/Menu System twice, added more features, and changed the game's theme music. The Game is also available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Android.
I don't play the mini-modes like Lamp Hunter much. I spend most of my time playing actual 3 Ball or 5 Ball games.
I own every Zaccaria, FX2, FX3, and The Pinball Arcade table sold.
My Steam Username is MarkMSH. I've subbed to your channel. :)

@@GameTestPlay The developer, Magic Pixel, has been going out of its way to improve the game along the way. As for the voice-acting on the tables, it could be worse. I was asked to audition and they turned me down after hearing what I sound like. :)

    • @GameTestPlay
      @GameTestPlay  4 роки тому +4

@@cessnaace it's not so much the voice acting as the audio post processing. They just need to add some effects like reamping and verb to make it sound likes it is coming from the machine and not someone talking directly into your earhole.

My only gripe with Zaccaria is you get yanked away from the table, after the last ball, or even a ball drain out. I kind of wish it would leave me at the table, and let me decide when to exit to menus. LOL.

Sad that a smaller studio working with an unpopular license (Zaccaria) have a FAR superior visual engine to the bigger company that got hold of the Williams/Bally license.

An often overlooked pinball game is Pinball Heroes for PSP and Vita. Street level pinball machines based on Sony licenses. Really fun. Rollers of the Realm is another one - pinball rpg.

Original pinball machines had no flippers. When they added them they wrote "flipper" on them as a feature. See Baffle Ball... almost like a pachinko machine.

No one told me about your video so I wasted 30 minutes coming to the same conclusion of what bundle to buy.
Only found out about Zac pinball a week ago. Also agree, I haven't bought the $1.99 retro but I might need to pay to get rid of the message every launch. I did pickup about half of the Deluxe tables. I sold my 1995 actual pinball machine a few years ago and apparently I want to get back into this so this is satisfying. I put my display in portrait mode with a very static view. And yeah, the early 1970's table for sure had to label their flippers. I guess it was a holdover from the novelty of adding flippers to pinball machines which started without them I guess.

I like the accuracy of these tables, the presentation is fine (more pc than console style) the ball physics are OK, feels like a millisecond of latency but OK for these tables. The graphics are by far the best pinball tabe graphics I've seen, the only thing I'm not quite sure of is the menu sound and intro voice. Maybe an early robo type voice would be good for atmosphere.

I've played on Switch. Vertical with a flip grip is sweet. Really wish Magic Pixel would give the Switch version the UI update and higher resolution in docked mode though, that's dragging it down. Also, I don't think any of the tables have been discounted in the eShop yet.

  • @SeanRainey

Tried this on switch... something about the physics feels off compared to Gottlieb's "Pinball Arcade". Like, the ball movement seems super choppy and lacking frames. Even Pinball Arcade on Switch feels smooth, so it's not the Switch creating the problem. Even the ball movement looks choppy in this video.
