Since blender 2.90 the easiest way to switch between objects is by hovering over one and pressing 'D'. No more swithcing back and forth from object mode. I just found out and it has saved me a lot of time. Other than that, thanks for the tutorial and all the free content on your channel!
@@grabbitt I checked for you and it looks like it was added in 2.93 (which explain why I only just found out). I am not sure what the arguments against it were, but I do hope they keep it. Make it a lot easier to build sculpts out of individual meshes (which is guess is also good for perfomance as it's easier to do details on idividual pieces and only merge and remesh at the end)
I just looked at the keymap in my 2.93.1 and can't see 'D' being used for anything like that. Do you have a link to the commit? Or whatever they call it.
I learned so much from this! My first attempt at both sculptign and using a tablet. If there's one request that I would make for the channel it would be some tutorial for texture painting for people who may not have ever done traditional drawing or used a tablet before. Cheers Grant, thanks for all the great vids.
Great tutorial Gregg, but how are the metal 'rings' separated from the barrel as objects like you have done? As I see in the outliner they are labelled as cylinder 2. Thank you.
i dont get the remash thing. i tried doing it your way but whatever i do, whatever nr. there is there at voxel size (tried between 0.005[...] to 0.0066[...], i can't get it to remesh correctly. faces disappear from it after it remeshes.. what could the issue be ?
@@grabbitt yep, that worked. can't believe i didn't see that they weren't applied, lol. thought i did. thx, need to pay more attention in the future ! Thx again !!
Hey will you please make a vedio on how to start learning blender step by step from beginner to pro, because sometimes I just pick object that is hard to do for beginner and get stuck also sometimes loses the interest , so how to be stick around without getting bored,
You are so experienced 3d artist.love all your Courses but can't do 😅 due to not having graphics tablet after buying G.T then think for your lovely Course.it would be better if you make some free for people like me.❤️💗🧡💖💛🤍🖤
Not sure why my bevel modifier is working so much differently than yours. Our specs are the same. I think I have to remove my low poly dents entirely because they are really screwing with the whole process in new and interesting ways.

I thought they decided against that I'll have to check again

I don't understand ☹
@@coreys2686 I downloaded 2.93.2 and I can confirm it is still under Sculpt > Tranfer Mode with default keybind "D"
Your narration reminds me of Bob Ross, sculpting happy little dents lol. I've binge watched your tutorials in a day. Thank you.

Is it too high poly for videogames? Would you recommend baking the high poly onto a low poly model?

Amazing as always!

I assume the texture used the pointiness technique, is that right?
Yes
Confusing... Is the dyntopo 'detailed flood fill' different to doing a remesh?
Yes it is different
