Hi -- I'm a musician and I'm trying to decide between the 11 inch and 13 inch iPad Air 6. I mostly create video productions comprised of voice and acoustic guitar, but sometimes do projects that crank up to about 20 tracks, with submixes. I do like the more portable size of the 11", but am I likely to find the 11" a bit cramped for the more multi track projects?
Hi, when I record a midi track using my Roland fp10, connecting it via a midi cable, the midi track gets recorded in the logicpro for iPad, however since I am using the sustain pedal on my Roland, the midi track has either too much sustain or if I reduce the sustain it becomes too little. Why doesn’t record just the way I use the sustain pedal?
There may various reasons for this; first of all is the recoding right? Or do you think it is the playback not right? Is the playback back yo your fp10 or an internal instrument?
It seems it comes with some of the GB kits. GB’s Ultimate 808 is probably my favorite soundpack of all time. And GB is my favorite DAW, but with Logic out it definitely surpasses GB. I just don’t have the funds for a Logic Subscription or I would. I noticed you always use AUM. Is Logic gonna change your routine or are you still gonna use AUM like usual
We shall see, you cannot currently do midi routing in Logic Pro for iPad, you cannot connect in multi-bus mode for midi, for example a chordbud sending to other buds apps inside Logic pro. It has the potential to be the best daw but there are too many things missing at the moment so,you still need to use AUM as well… where are the transformers like in the mac edition? Midi learn needs more development… it depends on Apple to bring the missing features…
I’m Curious why not just mimic logic desktop and let us use ssds for storage . I can make a very uncluttered page with screensets with regular logic . This is either impossible for apple to do or they are wanting to sell pens /peripheral devices and subscriptions for an identical means to an end . It’s a multitrack /midi recorder . All that editing is great but that could be saved for a later time if we choose . The fact that it’s a different look but the same app but a different charge is crazy . Just mimic logic as is and don’t charge extra fees . I thing everyone would agree that custom screensets would solve many clutter issues . If there’s anything to improve it would moving projects and libraries to external ssd’s . There’s already extra things to buy if you want a small pro set up. You can’t just have an iPad and no interface , pen , adapters etc….come on …
It’s the biggest time wasting interface ever created. Worse than its desk top sibling that intentionally wasted time on more projects than I can name . Why? It’s the cluttered interface! Instead of using garage bands interface( which is perfectly designed for iOS workflow and which they claim is what they did) they destroyed that workflow with a cluttered mess of pop ups control surface garbage. If you open anything it eliminates your view of the time line ! And markers don’t work even at all when building a song like song sections did period . If you like holding a stylus to navigate that weighs more than a whole pack of pencils ! Everything about this subscription based daw is terrible and ridiculously over engineered. If you like to work fast forget this pile of junk . 😖
@@soundformore another thing that I agree with for sure especially since it’s handled so well in GarageBand on both platforms and with a much cleaner interface that doesn’t cram too much in your face on the time line and simply by tapping on the audio or midi a much more useful and comprehensive list of choices appears right there. I am convinced apple did this on purpose to discourage it from becoming popular. The AU plugins that have play surfaces don’t let you record in Logic either only theirs in the cryptic icon hell even get you there .its so annoying since I was screaming for Logic on mobile. But none of us wanted what was released really so it’s just more of a waste of time and money. 👽🫤
This is a huge turning point for mobile music making
👍
Fantastic. The organization and flow of your videos makes learning any topic a breeze.
Thank you
Just as expected… The best logic video so far. 👍🏼

13 inch would be my choice. i have the 11 inch and using Logic Pro I struggle sometimes…
Can you put library on external hardrive ?packs etc ?

Hey man, just wondering how to save a channel strip setting? I can't find this information anywhere

@@soundformore I found it, it’s the recording that’s not right. Thank you for your inputs

Thanks just uploaded the second tutorial today…

At the moment AUM is more straightforward… it is simpler to use… and no subscription…
@@soundformoreBut you don’t favor AUM over Logic pro?, correct? What’s your final take? Do you see Logic Pro as being the best DAW on iOS )As I do) ?

My biggest frustration is the midi implementation for a subscription based DAW with rare updates….
