i was thinking the same thing! So many potholes and cracks just in that one general location... Probably would've been easier to just fix that whole area than patching it... for more later issues.
And they still had 10 supervisors and 2 state cop cars to help with traffic flow. For the cost of that machine they could of paid a worker with a shovel for 20 years.
Christian Offensive yeah ur right but I will bet u a year salary that the holes I fill with this machine will last longer then the holes you fill with a spoon. See my comment to ronjon1 above
Go figure Chris Christy bought this machine !!!! Its kinda like him fat, lazy, and always broken down. But what do you expect from the rotten tomato state !!!!
Then again if you see the Democrat party and how they screwed up this state even after getting so much wealth from the old NYC legacy, that slob should have just switched parties after hugging Obama so tightly and slowly.
Iv,e done this by hand a couple of times and I don't think this particulary machine does the job neither faster or better than by hand. The god thing though is that the operator is a lot safer sitting on his fluffy ass in the truck than he would be standing outside.
what new york and new Jersey have against asphalt? ??? did the officials ever heard of recapingbtye road? this video looks bizarre looks like a third world country road with a first world country road machine it's ridiculous
Slacking on maintenance and company’s selling people in offices novelty products. This is why our roads are crumbling. The fact that the road was even allowed to approach that condition before this useless machine showed up, point to the new standard of acceptable road conditions we have.
Figures this contraption is a modern piece of crap , takes so long to line up the nozzle to the hole yeah so much better than patching it properly. And how does this this find the potholes? Just figures NJ would purchase this when cuts vital services
Mike y ..oh, very surprised in admitting in running this machine. although if its works then god bless ya but why does DOT cut in the highway and then do a shitty job of patching it up with asphalt. its gotta be a smooth patch otherwise its now a potbump which could still damage a car. if someone could actually take Christie in a 18-wheeler and show him that its far worse than previously thought. although for the most part roads are in moderate shape but they could always be better
@@mikeyaple Dear Mike, could you contact me to show me some details of the use of this machine and be able to decide on the purchase of one? Please.... Thanks!
holy shit when the sound finally spills into the left ear i felt so satisfied. kinda like when you blow your nose and you can breathe again.
So that's how so many little stones get on the road.
Yeah, that'll last a week or two at best.
Not even
@@truckvlog-387 Right👍
No it lasts a very long time. I know from experience.
and this is how you get cracks, chips in your windshield. and why insurance companies have to pay in return your rates go up...got figure
At that rate, it would take a year just to do one street in Detroit, LOL
Wow, what a great way to keep ur job. Pothole will be back soon after that.
the road needs fixing ,not patching.More money down the drain.

paul twinn Tell that to my country. We even patch the patches.
what do you mean by "fixing"?
+chax2004 Probably tearing up the old asphalt and putting a new one.
and all those loose stones = broken windshields.... waste of time and money
Pretty bad. Lots of loose aggregate and no tar. Yup, lots of broken windshields.
thomas yo. u. and
+tomahawkseven Stones are covered in tar as they are blown out.
i drive a truck in Jersey this thing does a great job with the pot holes. never had a windshield cracked by the aggregate in my car or my truck
Funny I lived in Germany and Canada and never saw ONE pothole. The highways in Germany have soft but very visible blue lights as lane dividers!
I Wish i can say the same about chicago,These streets are so fucked up it makes no sense.
+verve92 I was in Germany a few years ago. They expressways were far from perfect. As a matter of fact some were pretty poor condition.
It would be cheaper and more efficient to have a guy fill the pothole using a shovel.
exactly...
Most efficient thing would be to change the whole layer!
the reason such a truck exists is because it requires only one guy. sometimes you aint got enough guys to send a shovel truck
@@edwardmyers1746 shovel truck is still a 1 man team, why you assume you need more all of sudden
@@konradkowalczewski4406 one man.. shit. we have three or two. One shover/driver and one flagger
Those stones they put in there are worse for your car than the pothole
Have you driven over a pot hole after it was patched by this machine?
@@chax2004 4 years really?
wtf even one completely drunk Russian would be quicker than that thang
I drive a truck in nj. This thing is great it does an excellent job. Neater and quicker than the shovel crews.
Explains the turnpike pothole "repairs"
I can do the same job, in 20 seconds with a spoon
Christian Offensive yeah ur right but I will bet u a year salary that the holes I fill with this machine will last longer then the holes you fill with a spoon. See my comment to ronjon1 above
Mike y da fuck? This machine is a time wasting money eater.
looks like the whole road needs replacing
Hate rocks on the road just as much as potholes
That whole freaking road needs to be redone
The hole at least needs actually tarmac (asphalt)
yeah this is obviously cut short it seems. it really should be layered over with asphalt
USE ROAD TAR AND GRAVE STONES
This is the bullshit that causes bikes to reck more than the potholes themselves.

Mmmm fill all those holes..fill emm
That section of road is welll beyond repair, that’s a total disaster section of roadway.
If only Lightning McQueen had one
I guess that it is be beneath the department to use a shovel.

I need to get this machine to sudamerica , someone who knows the factory, thanks
Wonderful!
That's pathetic.
Mehr Pfusch geht eigentlich kaum. Hier hilft ja nicht mal mehr die Sanierung der Deckschicht, hier muss die komplette Tragschicht weg!

Wasteful and messy. Nothing replaces a milled out pothole with properly compacted asphalt.
Gotta say , waste of money , more tax money not going where it should be
lol I live in nj this is bs potholes everywhere
lololol. is this seriously how they "repair" potholes in new jersey? no wonder the roads are so fucked up.
how long will it takes to fill this pot hole again? useless machine!
